Awww, thank you all so very much!  I'm over here smiling ear to ear to hear so many of you confirm that Samuel looks just like ME!!   bear_wub  After Brynn was born (the dark haired pixie-looking gal) all I heard for 3 and a half years was, "She looks JUST like Chad!" even strangers would comment on how much Brynn looks like Chad.  Well, that's all fine and dandy, but WHERE ARE MY GENES?!?!  bear_tongue  bear_tongue So when dear little Samuel came along and I heard "Ohhhhh, Brynn looks like Chad but Samuel looks just like YOU!" it was just kind of nice. bear_original Plus, I've seen photos of my dad (whom I am a spitting image of) when he was younger, and he was one handsome dude!  bear_laugh

Oh, and Clare, I have a neat little tip for ya....  bear_happy  see that vacuum in yonder corner in the last pic? I used it just before I took the pics.

She is simply beautiful, Heather!!!!  Congratulations!

Yes, breastfeeding IS demanding; I'm still breastfeeding and also work full time.  That was tough at first but is just part of the routine now.  I remember the first time I breasfed.... OUCH!  Talk about sore; it felt like Gabrielle had razor blades in her mouth! But I gritted my teeth and after a couple of weeks it went away.

Great job on natural childbirth!!! Way to go, you!  I had all 3 of mine natural (no epidurals)... Samuel was induced (water broke, no even contractions) and I think that hurts even worse than naturally going into labor.  Yep... ouch! lol

Congrats again; I'm so happy for you!!!!!

Hello all! Samuel sure has been keeping me busy!  Well, not JUST Samuel... the girls, working at the school... they ALL keep me busy!  I'd like to share some newer pics of little Samuel with you all.  He is growing SO fast!  He will be 4 months old next week and he weighs 17 lbs.  He doubled his birth weight by month 3.  He's such a sweet little guy, and the girls just love him to pieces!

AAAAA!! Congratulations!!!!  How SWEET!  I am completely and thoroughly enjoying my newest 'future Teddy Talker' 4 month old over here; SO glad to hear there's now another one going to join us!

Hi Paula, will you send it to me as jpeg as well, please?  I'd love to try to give this one a go!

Thank you so much, Shelli, for all of the hard work and time you've put into making Teddy Talk THE greatest forum to visit for gool ol' Teddy Bear EVERYTHING!  You know, I don't know where I'd be if it weren't for the many, MANY helpful and ingenius tips, tutes, and techniques I learned here.  Not to mention the many friends I've met. And I have you in part to thank for it. I'm so glad this isn't goodbye, and glad also that you're making a new beginning... the beginning of 'Just Plain Shel'.  bear_tongue  OK, OK, there's nothing plain about ya OR your bears....  Rock on, Shelli!

Kimberly W.

She doesn't strike me as a lion.  I see a little girl with one of those short, poofy, messy (in a good way) haircuts. Maybe a touch of tomboy in her. Anyway, that's my take on her! Definitely a cutie pie!

Kimberly W.

BearBottoms

WOW, does he take up a lot of my time!!!!  bear_tongue OK, I'll admit, most of it is just holding him when I don't even need to be holding him... hee hee Thank you ALL SO much for your congrats and kind words; I have to agree with you, I think he's my best 'Bear' Bottom yet! lol  Maybe if I spent nine months on all the others.....  bear_wacko heehee

Kim, You have GOT to be kidding me! You have a Benjamin Samuel??? I remember us chatting before about our childrens' names, but I had no idea I got the reverse to a tee!  Craaaazy! I promise, I'm not trying to copy you!!  bear_tongue  bear_innocent  bear_laugh

And yes, some of you had mentioned the mother's intuition... Part of me kept saying, "I dunno, I think this one's a boy..." But having not had a boy born on my side of the family in two generations, I wasn't getting my hopes up.  But I'm SO glad I stuck with neutral.

Chad was just about floored when the Dr. said it was a boy!  All I remember in my half-drugged, exhausted state was her saying it, Chad yelling, "It's a BOY?!? YES!!!!" and it taking a few seconds for it to register in my brain. lol

I've had my first 'changing-time-fountain' experience as well....  OK, many mothers have told me about the horrors of a boy peeing mid-diaper change, but NO ONE said it would be two feet in the air!!!! LOL  Luckily my FACE wasn't in the path of that one. ha ha

OK, I'd better get back to little Samuel! Thank you ALL again for your sweet words!!! :)

Awwww Heather, look at that baby belly! Sooo sweet!  It feels so weird NOT to have that now that Samuel has been born.  And the lack of movement... I'd gotten so used to feeling all those squirms and kicks every day, now nothing but gas rumbles...  bear_tongue  bear_laugh Enjoy those baby movements while you can! toward the end they can get downright uncomfortable! hee hee

Kimberly W.

BearBottoms

Well, it's happened.. I have finally had our baby!!     And what a complete surprise, it's a BOY!!!  For all of you who had read my other posts on baby, we thought (and were told) 95% girl at the 3D ultrasound....  What a sneaky little guy!  Luckily, I stuck with my gut instinct and only bought neutral stuff anyway.

Samuel Benjamin was born on June 28th and weighed 8 lbs 5 oz.  I've just gotten home yesterday and today was the first time I've been able to get on here and show everyone our new little one!  And thank you to Wenday for keeping you all updated for me; I had a false alarm (one of many) last week, then with all the false labor symptoms just got down, tired and couldn't sit on the computer.... but here he is!! OK, enough talk.... on to pics!!

Yay! Your first show!  Oh, they are SO much fun, and I completely understand needing to take a break from TT for a bit to get things done!  bear_tongue Oh, I hope you have so much fun at your first show, but I know you will!  If you have time to, you're more than welcome to snap a couple pics of your show 'bears' and share them  bear_tongue  bear_tongue  bear_wub Now get creating!

Ginny, I am so sorry to hear that.  Having lost a VERY beloved pet in an unfortunate accident and having to hear it from my dad, I know just how hard it is.  I agree that you are right for waiting, though, as it really won't do any good for her to know now.  My dad also waited until I was almost ready to come home (this happened back when I was in high school) and while it was really hard to come to terms with, I'm glad that he didn't make me sad any earlier in my summer vacation. I hope that helps...

Kimberly W.

AAAA!!! Congratulations, Peta!!!!  He is SO sweet and handsome!  bear_happy  I still have 3 more weeks...  bear_shocked

Kimberly W.

BearBottoms

please... count me in too!  bear_wub

Kimberly W.

P.S. Will there be a separate post here when the dates, etc. are set in stone? I don't have much time to come browse through the posts, so if the set dates and details could be posted in another post, that'd be nice!  bear_flower

BearBottoms

Jane, best wishes to your dad and I hope you are doing OK through this as well! I've had scares like this with my dad (he has HBP) and it's truly a numbing feeling

I certainly don't want to sound callous to animals but my fave has GOT to be the baby holding the puppy up to its mouth....  bear_laugh  As resiliant as puppies are, I'm hoping it was OK afterward and only suffered a wet head!   bear_innocent

Kimberly W.

Yes, indeed, I am completely in love!  bear_wub  Ahhhh, I can dream!!

I keep on getting the "Power Seller" scam.  They keep telling me "Congrats, you're a power seller, you'll get this neato power seller icon next to your name! If you accept this wonderful new title, please complete the free registration" or whatever..... and they have the 'link' there to follow.  I've gotten 3 of them.  All scams.

Kimberly W.

BearBottoms

Oh how wonderful!  Best wishes for you and baby, Peta!  I still have 4 more weeks to go!

Kimberly W.

Ahhhh wonderful stuff, that dermablend is!!  And it didn't even look cakey or fake!  Hmmm, note to self: If I ever end up with a shiner, try dermablend!  Let's hope that never happens though...  bear_tongue Glad to see it ended up not being a bear show issue, Sue Ann!

Kimberly W.

BearBottoms

Awwwww DANG!  What a bummer...  I can't jump on the bandwagon and say I keep my broken eyes though, as I've never had one break...even as tight as I pull them.  But, I know all too well the frustration of having something go wrong with a bear that I've put many many hours into!! Argh!

Kimberly W.

BearBottoms

Ohhh my GOSH, they are soooo cute!  I love them!

Kimberly W.

BearBottoms

Oh Louise, I'm sorry. They're not just dogs, they're a part of our families so losing one is sometimes just as hard as losing a human loved one.  I hope you feel better soon!
