At the risk of sounding incredible stupid: what is a gypsy horse ??  (Is it a horse that belonged to gypsies?  bear_wacko )

P.S. to Eric : I used to ride horses myself, though it would be more correct to say that the horses rode me.

What a lovely teddy, Kay, he looks a bit mischievous, but maybe it's just a "storm" in a tea cup .  What a great name for a small teddy!

I also love the little paw pads (which you can't seen on the pictures above)  bear_wub .

Does anybody know who this is?
Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I'm starting to think this is somebody's idea of a sick joke.  bear_angry  bear_angry

Hi Kim,

This sounds like a lot of fun  bear_laugh .  I'm quite sure the gingerbread man will pass through Belgium, but he'd better be careful he doesn't get eaten here, becasue we just love gingerbread  .

Hi Clare,

From a buyer's point of view I would definitely prefer Bearpile (if it's just bears your planning to sell).

I check bearpile several times a week, just to see which new bears are being offered and I have adopted several bears through Bearpile.  It's very user-friendly and the communication with the artists always went very well !

I don't check Etsy that much, because I find that most of the bears offered there are not really "my kind of bear" (but that's just due to my taste in teddies  bear_laugh ).  Moreover artist bears are listed under "Dolls and miniatures", which already indicates that the emphasis is on smaller, cheaper bears.  I do know some artists put their bears both on Bearpile and Etsy.

Hi Alison,

Thanks for letting us know that TBR is online now; I've been trying to get it here in Belgium, but it seems virtually impossible.

And, I loved the little video commercial of the puppet ad!  The puppets were cute but I wouldn't want one based on the photo ad.  Once the video played, I wanted one of each!

That was so great and funny; I never considered buying a handpuppet, but watching this video ... I WANT SOME AS WELL  bear_grin  !

Hi Sophie,

Maxence must be really pleased with this lovely teddy  bear_flower : the combination of the colours works wonderfully well and I especially like the blue eyes.
He is definitely asking for a big hug  bear_wub .

Now why don't I have a bear artist in my family ???   bear_sad

Hi Becky,

I understand what you mean, but I do have to agree with the majority of the TT'ers here, that I don't really mind the term "girly" for a teddy.

In fact, one of the artists who replied above (if the shoe fits...) , "refused" to let me adopt a teddy because she thought it was "too girly" for me  bear_grin  (actually it was more of a friendly advice).  But I think she was right after all (though I hate to admit it  bear_whistle ).

Hugs,

That's an interesting question --  Peter, have any of your teddy bears got married yet, and if not, which ones would you want to see get hitched, and what event would they plan, do you think?  I can see lots of hugs, and marmalade sandwiches, and a huuuuuge picnic.  :)

-- Thomas Adam

No Thomas, no weddings in my hug; but a lot of close frienships are made : some teddies just seem to belong together  .
Though I like the idea of a teddy wedding and a huge picnic, wouldn't that be fun  :bday: .

I think my teddies take after me : bachelors forever  bear_grin  .

Hi Catherine,

What lovely photos, especially the one with the animals in the woods; looks kind of spooky  bear_ermm  !
