I agree completely!!
I LOVE doing shows, and I would not be making bears if I couldn't go to the shows occassionally to sell them.
I am hopefully doing my 'bit' by beginning to organise a new 'artist only' show in the UK, but as you say, if people are not willing to try a new show, it won't happen!
So sweet!!!!
Nice to see you back!!
I had been wondering where you were and whether you were ok!
Good luck with the wedding plans and the move - hope it all goes well.
Lovely!! Very striking and distinctive, which is great!!!
WOW! Thats really great!! Well Done Stephanie!!!
We ground to a halt here when we had about 4 inches of snow
Thats what I was thinking!! We had an inch of snow a couple of weeks ago and all the schools were closed!! The whole country ground to a stand still!!
I have never ever seen anything like those pics Tracy!!! It looks amazing!!! Hope you manage to get out today - you must be going mad with two boys to occupy aswell!!! Stay warm!
Thank you so much for the fabric and the other lovely bits and bobs you included with it - you are too kind!! What a lovely package to receive this morning!!
The fabric is lovely - I would call it vintage rayon, but others may know it by a different name. It is certainly a fabric that I regularly use - thank you so much!!! I can't get over your kindness!!!
Yes I completely agree!!
It was a fantastic day. The time flew by as the morning was so busy. Loads of my bears found new homes, and the atmosphere was buzzing.
It was lovely to see so many TTers. Thanks to everyone who came and said hi! Yvonne - I missed you as everytime I went past your stand you were either very busy or you weren't there!!
I know Jane took lots of photos so I'm sure she'll share them when she is ready.
I find shows so inspirational. I bought loads of lovely new fabric, and when I got home I was so 'on a high' that I cut out a new bear ready to make!! Unfortunately I've got to go off to work in half an hour, so back down to earth with a bump this morning I'm afraid, after two weeks off to prepare for Hugglets!
Amazing!! Just amazing!!! What a superb bear, and he is your first!!!???
You will LOVE Hugglets. It is a wonderful experience!!!
Beautiful!!! What a character!!
You have done really well in such a short time!!! I could never have got so much done so soon affter moving house!
See you tomorrow!!!
Mine arrived yesterday here in the UK - its wonderful!! I have spent ages already drooling over all the lovely bear faces!! It was a great idea and very well presented - well done Mindey!!!
oooh how exciting!!!
Thanks ever so much - I love getting nice things in the post!!! (makes a change from bills!!!)
Wow!!! Where are these bears coming from!!???
This one is particularly gorgeous- a real armful of 'hug'!!!
Another stunner!!
He looks so soft and cuddly!!
I'm sure he'll be snapped up quickly on Sunday.
Must get back to work myself now - only a few days left!! eek!
Same here in the UK!
Still waiting for TB&F and TBR.
Can't wait to see the Facebook!!!
What a kind offer!!
I've just sent you a PM too!
Beautiful!!! Really beautiful!!
I hope the move went well, and that you are enjoying your new home!!
See you at Hugglets!!
Wow! What a beautiful panda. I have a couple of Christine's bears in my collection, and they really are special.
I can't wait for next Sunday either!! I now have 38 of the 40 bears I aimed to make, so I can start getting excited. I just so love doing shows, and Hugglets is my favourite.
See you there!!!

I LOVE shows, and would never stop doing them. I'm sure if I didn't hold back my stock for shows then I would sell more via my website, but I just love meeting the collectors!!
They are all really beautiful. I love your distinctive bears!!
I love them all, but I think Suki is my favourite!! So cute!
Only a week to go (eek!) - I look forward to seeing you there!!
the following week we are in Binghampton NY for the Teddy Bear Artist Invitational from the 16-18
Cool! I have just signed up to do the TBAI. I am so excited. I've never been to America before as I am terrified of flying, but we are going over for three weeks to include the Expo, the Golden Teddy Awards ceremony, and the TBAI. I won't be having a stall at the Expo, but I will at the TBAI, so I am currently thinking a lot about how to display my bears nicely without actually bringing any display things with me. I am very lucky that my bears are miniature, so they will all fit into a small box! How is your gallery piece going?? I really must make a start on mine!!!
They are all beautiful. You really do have a talent for bears of all sizes!!
I look forward to seeing you at a fair in the near future, I hope!!

I would LOVE to make a living out of bears, and one day it might happen.
I am very lucky that I am self-employed in my real job as an interpreter, which also pays a fairly good hourly rate, so I can afford to work part time, and make bears part time. As I control my own diary, it is great that I have a lot of flexibility (I currently have two weeks off before Hugglets, which I couldn't do in an 'employed' job). Most of my bear money goes on materials, and my own collection, as I earn enough in my interpreting to pay for necessities like the mortgage and bills. I do think I am lucky really.

I'm 23, although I apparently look much younger. I regularly work in a college, and a teacher who I hadn't met before thought I was one of the 16 year old students!! I was so offended! I would love to look older! The problem is my husband also looks very young, despite being 28. People never think we are married when they see us!!
I'm sure the day will come when I want to look younger again!!!
