can anyone post a picture of how they actually physically embroider their mouths? oops, not YOUR mouths - your bears/critters mouths!
i have a terribly hard time with this and when i see beautifully formed mouths i wonder how on earth they/you do that! i think i am just going to deep into the head/jaw - maybe i should just be embroidering the surface of the mohair - not going right into the head. does that make sense?
thanx in advance for any tips!
Ellen

just a quick tip for any fellow Canucks wanting a compressor. i bought one last night on sale at Canadian Tire for $90!!!!!!! regular price is only $130. great deal. 1/3 horsepower.... max 100psi....more than enough!! i'm not sure how long the sale is for so hurry on out!
HA! I was just going to ask if you have done a swagman and there he is! wonderful job! thanx for sharing!

thanx Judi - for sharing!! can't wait to see more!
i've made wired bunny ears before and they are great! turn the ear first and then insert the stiff wire - sort of already in the shape you want. it might help to mark a fine line of stitching/basting about 1/8inch in from the edge on your ears (inside the stitching line) - then when the wire is in - sew around that line of stitching - to hold the wire in place - on the outside edge of the ear. does that make sense?? i wish i had pictures! then you use the wire to make a loop on the bottom edge of the ear and insert it like an eyeball too! another bonus - they can be swivel ears too!!
let me know if that's clear!

hi Tami!
i've used small pieces of white felt behind the eyes - just poke a hole in them first and slip it onto the eye post thingy before you insert the eyes. i've seen some artists use paint too though. justa little line or dab on the edge. makes all the difference, eh?! good luck! i'm sure others here will have suggestions.
hmmmmm, and how do you get a four piece body from a two piece? did i miss something?
thanx for all the tips and trix and pics!
get rid of that temptation Penny!!!!!
i'm tellin ya - detox and you won't have the cravings. i promise. it works. give it a try. i can even walk by the constant plates of cookies and the boxes of chocolates still residing at the office. once you've "cleared" your system of these "poisonous" bad-carb things you're home free!
WOWZAAAAAA! wouldn't you like to give her a squeeze??!
