Hi everyone, 
 
I am going to Reno next week. Does anyone know if there are any Teddy Bear shows there to visit? I have looked on the internet and came up with nothing that I could find. I will be taking my lap top and camera. I will take a lot of pictures, if there is. I will also watch for anything interesting relating to Teddy Bears.     

I wouldn't be able to do what Mindy has done, but I will do my best to get what I can. And store them on my laptop and share them with you all when I get back. Wow! what great pictures of the Teddy Show there.

I have been trying to learn how to clear up my pictures and I figgered that I really needed to educate myself on still photographing, lighting with the new digital cameras out there. I am a shutter bug girl from way back.     
Anyway. I came across the article by Shelli , that I am sure most of you have already seen and possible posted here on TT somewhere. But, I wanted to post it for all those like me who haven't read it.   
I wanted to thank Shelli, because it really answered the questions I was looking for.

I am waiting for a PM...so I thought I would just say....... Aleta your are a wonder!!!   

I can't even think about guests...... LOL I have teddy hair  - heads - body parts - eye balls - from one end of this house to the other....... I have a very small work place and I have kinda took over the living.....kitchen.....hall way..... and it is licking into the bedroom  .... LOL
My husband is so kind to me!!! at lest for now LOL

I know what you mean..... I am trying to fix my photos and I am working on my next bear at the same time...... and barn chores, dog play, art work submissions are due anytime now..... etc - etc - to bad we can't clone ourselfs and do many things at a time.......  SUN!!!!...... oh ya ...... I see it..... almost forgot what it looked like! LOL

It is nice to see the sun again.

Anyway, that maybe a form of cording - not sure. very nice!
I use leather, clay, - I think it depends on how much time you want to spend on your bears eyes.
I would suggest as you said - trying clay - sculpy is great choice. I think you will find you will get the look you want. It bakes nicely @ 275. You can insert your glass eye of choice in the piece of sculpy and form it the way you want and then bake it. I will not crack the glass. Just be very careful not to over bake it. Then just paint as you like.

Give an example of a bear that has the effect you what. If you can. Just the eyes maybe.

Hi everyone,

It has come to my attention that my pictures of my bears are very dark, not clear etc. 
I don’t see that on my computer. I am a graphical 3d artist as well, so I am working on my graphical enhanced computer and that maybe part of the problem. Not sure yet?

I have read a lot of very good information on TT about picture taking and editing; lighting etc. I am going to shop for a new digital camera, because I believe this maybe were the problem truly lies. I would really appreciate your input on this. I am thinking of getting a digital camera with a 5.1-megapixel resolution. Rather than an 8-megapixel resolution – very pricy!
My question is. What camera do you use? What would you recommend?
Clear resolution is most important to me at this time. Price is also a concern; I would like to keep it reasonable. A large internal memory is a plus, but not a real focus at this time.

I glad to hear what you all had to say. I have being debating not listing on ebay any more. I started to feel; that my bears were just not going to sell. I have never used eBay before, so I really didn't know what to expect. 
It is nice to see other bears sell there thro. It is really nice for the artists.    It helped encourage me to relist them.
But it is getting kinda costly.

It is so natural, that it just warms my heart. When I am working on my teddies, I will look over and, I can only smile when I see her do that.   

It is nice to hear she has a floozy sister out there Chrissie. Too funny!

I read something from a wise lady tonight and decided to share what I love the most in life; my family that I live with everyday.

Teddy Bear people are all those things; sometimes I think we just all need to be reminded. I feel that Teddy people love animals and these animals give us so much.
Love and acceptance, joy and pleasure; are all the things that are given to us by our furry or feathery or not so feathery or furry friends and family. Some people like snakes and other creators. That is cool!
I was very inspired by Sue Ann words. That I decided to share my very large family. 

The first picture is one of the kittens I raised after the mother was unable to care for them. The little black ball I am holding is Bandit she is 6 days old here. The bird sitting on me, wanting to help me care for the kitten or just wanting to know what it is; is my wild morning dove. He just decided to be part of my life. I found him outside in our driveway and he has been with me ever since. I have taken him outside to let him free; because I believe that wild animals belong in the wild. He will not go he only fly’s back and lands on my shoulder. Me! Bad hair day..... and look like scary woman due to baby feeding hours! LOL I almost didn't post this one ladies.   

The group pictures of the kittens are all the kittens that I hand feed from when they were 3 days old. They all did very well;  two now have new homes and two are still with me. Bandit in my arms and Little spirit the mountain climber.

There is a very special story about Little spirit. She was taken by her mother when she left her sisters, but her mother lost her life. My neighbor found her very cold and feared she would die. She brought her to me and asked if there was anything I could do; knowing I had the other sisters in my care. When I saw her I really didn’t think she would make it. I will not tell you what condition she was in; heart braking. So, I took her and  put her in a heating blanket and cared for her for hours. She finally started to come back to us. Once she was able I got her a bottle and feed her warm milk. To my surprise she took it right away. And that is how she got her name; Little Spirit.  I did not get this one in order, sorry.  :doh:

The next pictures are of my other men in my life besides my husband.
Rocky is my gelding he is 5 years old. He is the brown one with his butt to the camera.
And Mystic is my 4 year stallion; the black and white beauty.

I have many more family members, but this would end up a very long post if I posted everyone pictures.

I have the pleasure to have a bear-eyed cockatoo; he is 6 years old and very special. His name is Marshal. He talks and plays dance, walks like a pirate, very funny and a few others things. Talk about being a comic! LOL

I also have another gelding that has been with me for a very long time he is now 25 years old and is retired; other than the odd walk in the neighborhood. He was my rodeo horse years back. His name is Destiny and is a Morgan.

I have a mustang mare that we got last year. Mystical Dawn; she is very beautiful and a real dear. We have a baby coming this spring, which I am very excided about. My stallion and Mystical Dawn will be the proud parents of a little one.

Ok, I am going to stop there. My fingers are getting tired. LOL

I don't know anything about this Bearwitched. But I am sad to hear that your hard work was not appreciated. "gossip" to me is the dirties word ever. It is very hurtful and all who do it; are just that, dirt rubs off on all that it comes in contact with. In my opinion. 

I am also sorry to hear you are not going to continue because of some people actions. That is truly sad. I do understand how that kind of behavior can make you feel that way thro.   :hug:  :hug:

I will look at you site and learn about it and maybe I will be interested. ???
But, I think if you are able.... I would stay with it and not allow others to change what you started with such a kind heart.
