For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
I do agree with Alison about some of the backing. I bought a very expensive mohair a little while ago with an extremely long pile and the backing has such a low thread count that it does seem pretty poor and flimsy indeed. It easily distorts too so it has been discarded to the back of my cupboard. You would expect an expensive mohair to have a good backing so I have to admit I was disappointed on this one. Having said that, I have also found this with other manufacturers so they are by no means alone. I find the Schulte to be lovely to work with and there certainly is a wonderful range of styles and colours to choose from, and the quality is usually very good indeed. I guess some you win, some you lose.
My first thought though was that as bearmakers, we are to a certain extent "competitors" to Steiff, so I hope that when they are in control of the manufacturing and distribution of the fabrics, our resources are not suddenly limited!!

Hello Peter,
They are wonderful bears and photos. All your little friends are going to eat you out of house and home!!

I really do hate it when things change!!!
I use Schulte mohair all the time so I just hope that with Steiff being in charge, they
don't stop certain mohairs being made available to the public to purchase for our own bear making.
I guess time will tell.

Hi there,
I must confess I hadn't heard of him, but have just done a little "Googling" and he does sound like a very nice person.
The books sounds rather intriguing and I have just ordered a couple through Amazon so I am looking forward to having something
nice to read which is different to my usual books.
Many thanks for the information! Now I'll get even less bearing done!!!

I've been away from TT for a little while so am a little late on this, but would like to add my "CONGRATULATIONS" to the brilliant winners!

Aawwwwww - needed a mega box of tissues for this one! I can't stop looking at that beautiful little face.
I am delighted to know someone is going the help this sweet puppy and help him to have a normal happy little life.
Oh dear, monitor is going blurred again ............

It's amazing how things affect us. I always log in to TT each day (several times!) and make a point of looking at Tami's gorgeous daily photos.
Today, as usual, the photo gave me a "lift" as I did my daily "Ahhhh" and smile as I saw it, but then was immediately saddened
by Sandy's sad news. I am so sorry to hear about your little ferret and can understand how you must be feeling today.
They are such beautiful little things and I have always wanted one myself. But she is no longer suffering and you will always
have your happy memories of her. Take care.

Hi there,
I think you would find a Mac totally brilliant! I use two Macs and a PC, and would happily throw the PC out of the window if it wasn't for the fact I
need it for embroidery software. Macs are SO easy to use and we have never had any problems. You will soon fall in love with them.

Dear Jane,
Thank you so much for posting these gorgeous pictures, but I feel so sorry for you that you didn't get a picture of your own stand! Aww. Maybe someone else has taken one you can see? I hope so! It was so nice to have a little chat with you, your bears looked as lovely as ever.
I think I may have spotted the lovely little man you were talking about just as I was about to leave around 3.15. He was just coming down the stairs from your area holding a bear and looking absolutely thrilled, just like a little boy with a new toy. It was such a lovely story and your bear obviously meant such a lot to him. Doesn't that make bear making so worthwhile?? Gives you a warm fuzzy glow!!!
You take care now!
Big hugs
Marilyn
Hi Kerren,
What gorgeous colours! Your stand should look lovely and colourful. Hope you have a wonderful day at Hugglets and I hope to visit and
look at the bears from the other side of the table for a change! (I'm next to you at Stratford in June!)
Take care.

Hi Sheila,
Is it possible to have a indoor cat and never have fleas?
Yep, ... if you and your hubby both take a daily shower or bath, you should both be fine!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, my weird sense of humour!!

Hi there,
Well done you! ....... for both doing so well with Haggis and also for supporting WSPA. One of my favourite animal charities. I cannot think of "good enough" word to describe the brilliant work they do.
Little Haggis is adorable! He has probably helped another little bear already.

Whoa! ... I'm still trembling from the thought of 41 bears!!!! I don't make that in a year!!!!
The sneaky peeks look lovely and I am sure the rest are equally as cute! Have a super day at Hugglets.

Aw, Denise, It not only warmed my heart, it made me boo!!!!! The firefighters should all receive medals, it must be just about the worst thing you can put yourself through I should think. These fires have really been playing on my mind, and most other people too I should think. So sorry for anyone who has to go through such a horrific ordeal as this. But, as they say, "good comes from bad" and this little photo just about sums it all up doesn't it. Such a precious moment.
Oh dear, I'm welling up again!!!!!!!! I think I'm keeping the "Kleenex" company going these days!
So thank you Denise for yet another beautiful little story.

Crumbs, I do feel sorry for you all having to be in such temperatures. I'm good for nothing when it reaches 30 degrees here, so heaven knows
how you put up with 42 degrees! I just can't even imagine being that hot! Take care of yourselves and hope all your animals are okay.
