Have been reading the comments on the listing of items on e-bay.
I use the aussie site and most times it will only take a few minutes to show up, and I don't have to nominate an exact time when it is to start. On the Aussie site it has "for immediate start". it may then take a little while longer to show up on the international site, but only minutes.
I did try to list once on the US site but the listing form is so complicated compared to the Aussie site.
Took a piccie of my 16 year old Maltese cross, snuggled up in MY chair this morning. So relaxed but she has the ear pricked up waiting for the breakfast shift to start.
What a lovely bear, and I love the colour of the fabric..
Yep, I sew more bears when I am stressed and like Michelle I can lose myself in the particular bear that I may be working on and it does have a calming effect on me.
I will look up at the time and it is close to midnight and then I seem to sleep better.
My bears help me a lot...
Maybe I would look like mine if I didn't colour my hair, and sometimes through lack of sleep I have black rings under my eyes, BUT my avatar is a boy bear!!!!!!
Krista. I posted your mohair last week, as I mentioned I am going away next week and won't be back until the end of the month......I will let you know when I am home so my surprise parcel can then be on its way to Aussieland...
Thanks everyone, I like the sound of the glass eye, it won't fall out after baking will it? Or should I mould the clay a little bit around the edge of the eye?
You gals are so cool with freely helping us damsels in distress,, thank-you...
After posting a question on polymer noses I though to check out this topic.
What a great idea, will try it for my next bear.... thank-you Gail..
I too have just purchased polymer clay and want to learn how to make the shapes etc for these noses.
Also how to attach them to the muzzle.... glue or attach a loop at the back and attach like we do the eyes...
With the eyelids that I have been doing lately, I have attached the eye, then cut a circle of white felt and then cut it in half. Then I place the half circle around each eye using a doll needle to push it under the eye. When I feel the whites are the same size showing and in the right position I then glue them in place with craft glue...
I seem to get the same ammount of white showing on each eye this way, putting the felt on the back of the eye and then attaching the eye I was always trim, trim, trimming to get the whites equal...
Just another way for this procedure...
Can't help you there SJ as I have only used mink or lapin ( rabbit )
Thanks everyone for you comments, it means a lot to me...
Danielle, I can't get your piccies to show up,,
Here is my "deb" bear thanks to the mini fabric sent to me by Deb.
I have called her Petal as she just loves to stand amongst the flowers..
She measures approx. 5.6" and her skirt is made from felt cut into green and ivory petal shapes.. Her hat is an artificial flower that matches the bodice on her skirt..
Thanks once again Deb, I had so much fun creating this one...
Patsy, lots of hugs and best wishes that your pain goes away soon...
My book came today, thanks so much Jody.....yes the bears look great and to think a lot of very good friends of mine have bears in there, all thanks to the internet...
Sophie, all your bears are terrific and the work and detail you put into them is just amazing.
As others have said, so many bears to comment on, you need not have any illusions that we don't like your bears, we like them do a lot.
What a lovely piccie, love just oozing out of those eyes...
My mini fabric has arrived, thank-you so much Deb... guess what I will be doing tonight...
Thanks so much again....
What an adorable little bear, you are so lucky Sarah, I bet you are cheered right up...everytime you feel a little down just pick this little one up and a smile will come to you...
