Just thinking of you as I have had my order, the quickest yet and they are always quick! One of the other things I like is that you can use paypal to pay. Thanks for doing this as I know they probably charge more than the credit card companies sometimes do. Good luck with it all!
I got married in Vegas too. It was great fun and even my dad who wanted a traditional 'family' wedding now agrees we did the right thing. We married in The Monte Carlo hotel and stayed at The MGM and my close family were there. What fun, sorry I can't help on the invite thing but I bet Penny will come up trumps.
What can I add but a big WELL DONE from me!
If you are going to get things mixed up, make sure its good news. It must feel fantastic, all the best!
So like the photo. Good on you, its really good when we like what we do ourselves!
Thats how it goes. Don't go too small so you can keep the detail. I'm still laughing at my first bear, there were lovely comments, but its still awful!
Have you got an ebay account guard on your tool bar? You just hover over it and it says if you are on an ebay verified site. Might not help in this case but it can help at other times. Always better to be careful and slightly untrusting where ebay and information is.
Yes share away Dilu anything to make life easier. I will try Melissa's way too but you can't have too many 'easier' ways. Vile job pawpads!
So cute. Crickey Melissa thats VERY small.
Thanks you lot. I'm supposed to be getting boring paperwork done but sneaked on here. Penny has had me laughing on another post and then such lovely things on here. This really is a great place to be. I do think I am getting somewhere now, it all takes time but it is nice when you get such positive feedback.
I'm looking forward to your bear Melissa!
At least you are on the case. Promise I will get one done. I'm going to do one and so is Amy, it will be girl bonding fun. I have had slimming club today, loads of members missing, with tales next week of Valentine's chocolate binges. I had Mark's birthday today and he MADE ME eat loads of birthday chocolates. Its my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
Now bend over and get ready for that kick!
Oooh I just had an image of George Clooney in a toga, feel any better? I bet you have been watching TV tonight.
I love the cheek shape. You have done some 'hairdressing' there. Great stuff. Good luck at the fair, knock them dead!
It was really nice of Kim to say I was a miniature artist. I suppose I am, it was just it crept up on me and now I make miniatures, not bigger bears. This is the first miniature I made about 12 years ago from a kit. Hmmm not the cutest bear in the hug. I made a few more then thought 'too much like hard work' and went back to bigger ones. I had a ten year break from bear making and then started again last year.
It was when I saw the mini pattern I designed from way back that I decided to have another go. Again another hmm as it seemed too much hard work but they are quite addictive are'nt they. Quite a few minis later and thats what I do!
I still hate sewing feet pads in though!
Don't worry Clare it is Monday and cold and miserable, enough to dampen any creative ideas. I've just ordered some more supplies, that helps. Hang in there!
Thanks Penny, you mind reader you. I was thinking it was'nt my 'kind of thing' but hey even Amy does things like that. Give me a bit of time and I'll come up with something.
Don't give up Kim. I made one from a similar fabric and I cursed every stitch of the way. The fabric was such hard work. Why do you think I use Sassy long pile, it sews like a dream. I also had their thin needles and even their thread sews up better. The grid backing does not fray and the limbs turn easily with my forcepts. Heres the bear I made, which I still have. If you send me your address I'll post you some short pile fabric so you can see how easy it is to use.
I think its a lovely site. Your bears look great and it works great. It is cold today, I thought they said it was going to get warmer. Good chance to go on the computer!
I've got a canon powershot a75 3.2 pixels. For colour you need white balance and macro is a must too. The other tip off Shelli was if you don't print much, everything (I think) is viewed in 72 pixels per inch on the monitor so high pixels isn't the priority. Being able to set things like aperture when you manage to read all the manual is good. The biggest thing for me was the white balance, macro and a homemade light tent. Still I could do with a tripod instead of books
There was loads last year on cording using leather, elastic and other things. Try putting cord in the search at the top. I'm not exactly sure but I like to needlefelt the white bits and then you could use the black cording around it. If you find the past posts, grab a coffee, as there is loads to keep you going. Good luck.
I would use a slightly smaller one in the legs, so you don't feel them and there is more room for stuffing. Then in the body cavity use one a bit bigger so it would be the same size as the top of your leg when stuffed.
I do that in my minis. Hope that helps.
Hey Kim, I know you were a bit dim,
But don't give in,
Because the lovely Delilah,
Made me grin
Good on you Kims!
What a fantastic bear. I have had to log on to say so (I was only going to have a quick peek at teddy talk)! The eyes are to die for. I have heard of Abracadabra, I'll have to Google it and have a look. My favourite of your bears so far.
Jane you have really caught a cheeky bear grin. I love the shading too. Way to go!
WOW
I have heard of people doing what Jane did. As soon as you know its them you could do that. They won't be able to use their phone until you cut them off. Its awful. I think it might tell you in the yellow pages what to do as regards to BT. Vile people
