Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

Received two more Christmas cards yesterday.

Thank-you  Denise from Bearly Kidz bears and Chrissie from I Love Teddies.

I get my washers and pins from the local hardware store...

Santa guessed that I had been good.
I received a lovely necklace, earrings, glass bowl full of yummy things to eat, bottle of red, and free passes to see some movies.

We all ate well and the kids had lots of fun.
Today was a day of rest watching the t.v and napping.
We plan for weeks for this day and it is over so quickly.

Hope the day was good for everyone else..

I will let you in a little secret, Naji was able to be free because of the wonderful people that have bought fur etc from Beary Cheap Australia.  We all donated the money so we could sponser our own bear.

Isn't he gorgous.  I made a Naji and gave it to my sister for her birthday.
We are now trying to raise the funds for his den....

I am praying for it too Sarah.  I have had the house all shut up because of the smoke but this morning you can smell it really strong....how bad and scary it must be for the people that are so close to the actual fire...

I haven't got any UFO's, sorry yes 1.  It is the one I cut out last night.  I try to finish each bear before I start the next one.  I just remembered another one who needs her eyes attached as I ran out of dental floss and as hubby forgot it was Christmas and booked the car in for servicing which meant no car for 2 days I couldn't go buy any.

I had a clean up in my sewing room too last week, it was good to be reminded of what fur fabrics I had and that I don't need to buy anymore for awhile.  But oh dear there is e-bay...........  fur, eyes and more fur to arrive soon.

Its hard to comprehend snow like that when us Aussies never see it that thick in towns.  Another hot day here today but they forcast a late change with RAIN and they are forcasting snow on the alps for Christmas eve.   How fickle Mother Nature is....

I took this picture tonight at 6.00pm.  Due to the fires not far from us there has been thick smoke covering the town and even all the way to Melbourne which is 100k from us.  The sun has been setting like this for over a week now.

We personally arn't in any danger but we feel for the communities that are...

Definately going to print and frame this wonderful tree when all the little ornaments are in.

This would HAVE to be the best tree....

Kerren, my thoughts are with you.  When our twins were born 32 years ago we had to leave our little girl in the hospital for a month as she was a light-weight and I couldn't bring her home with her brother until she was 6lb.  As she was only 4lb 7ozes it was heartbreaking to leave her behind.

Hopefully your family will all be together soon...

On the other side of the world here in Victoria, Australia it is 35+ and so hot.  No wind but lots of smoke because of the bushfires.  One little town Walhalla where we had a camping trip last Boxing day is under threat... these fires have been burning for more than 3 weeks now.  The firemen deserve a medal for what they do....

I have a singer but it doesn't get used that much as I hand sew all my bears.  When I start to make a bear I intend to make some clothes for it but lately when it is finished I go for the ribbon around the neck....

Krista, just love him.   The wrinkles on his face are so cute...

Laura, I am so relieved that your angel arrived.  I was getting a bit concerned but am so glad you like her...
