Awe, Karen just go for it! I'd love to see the video.. I did a sad pathetic little one(s) demo-ing my dollhouse lights......... where I say nothing... and for people who know me, I never stop talking... lololol. That was my first try and I have not done one again.. actually, I had forgotten about it... I may actually try that again (and even speak) one of these days with some bears. Don't be worry.. I think it's totally normal to be self concious when you are not use to seeing yourself on video! I always feel like an idiot watching myself talk.. thinking.. "omg how can anyone take me seriously"... lol.

I think you have to use another address to open a new account... I have 2 accounts .. I had issues with buying dolls on ebay years ago so instead of ruining my seller account by having to leave negatives (thus getting oneback even though I paid for my items and got nothing) .. I opened another for buying. I used my work address and a different email. I haven't listed a bear on ebay in almost a year though.. and I am getting annoyed selling my minis on there... I don't have enough stars to get high up in the "best match" nonsense. I have always featured my bears.. but the last one cost me almost $50 in fees when all was said and done.. $50! my Collector might as well have had $50 off the bear. *sigh*.

That is really upsetting. I hope you can get it sorted out Karen. How the heck are you supposed to be able to "fix" your rating if you can't list! sheesh. Ebay is just getting worse and worse.

Wow, that is pretty scary when you depend on that income. I have been finding other venues to sell my work.. more shows and have started using Etsy. I have been wanting to list a bear on ebay... but my bears don't usually sell unless I feature them.. and now with the featured listing you don't even show up half the time under the new system. *sigh*

That is strange.. we never have Fireworks in our towns.. they are usually banned unless you live in the Country... but as far as I know it's illegal to set them off in the city. The Citys usually do a big display on Canada day and on New years. Other than that if you want to see fireworks you have to live on an acreage or go to a private lake where they allow them.
Do you guys live in the Country?
I was quite annoyed last Canada day.. The place they set off the fireworks is not even a block away from my house.. and they have them pretty early.. but I had to be up at 5am so I had gone to bed. I think I almost jumped out of of skin.. lol.

How fun Chloe. I too cannot get enough cheesy Halloween music. We danced to Michael Jackson's "Thriller". That is the best H song in my opinion. It's prefect.
lol, I love that one.. and Monster Mash.. AND Cemetary by the Headstones.... lol. I'm sure there is more. Glad I'm not the only one who loves Cheesy Halloween songs.

There are no set times here either, I shut it down around 9:30 when I got 2 kids who were not kids at all.. so I thought it was time to put the goodies away.
Many parents here take the kids to the mall.. It's warm and snow is never an issue... I just don't see the fun in that though! Running through the streets in the dark, costumed that was just the best part of Halloween. :twisted:

Awe, well that sucks. My Parents live in the country and I think they had about 15 kids. That would be a huge disapointment to get all ready and have no one come. 
I had about 55 kids.. which I don't know if that is alot or not. This is my first full Halloween in my house. BUT I had so much fun decorating and Brad and I scared the bigger kids. It was a blast. Some of the kids were too scared to come up to the house.. lol. I ran out in my witch costume and made them come up.. heehee.
The other homes on the block next to mine get right into Halloween.. I don't think there was a house without decorations. One had a guy running around with a Chain saw.. lol.
I'm just uploading some pics and a couple videos to my blog if anyone wants to check it out.

Lol, sheesh, well you are not the only one.. I had a fellow buy a cat last year and then get it and say it was not squishy enough.. lol. I don't make squishy bears.. so I just told him he could send it back and I would give him a refund... which he did. I ended up putting her up on ebay and got more for her on there.. lol... and to a Collector who loved her. You can't always tell what something is going to feel like from a photo.
I don't take custom orders anymore. Most that I did went very well.. but I had one flake that ruined it for me. It just went from bad to worse and she wanted me to do things just not possible with mohair. So I still have this poor thing almost 10 years later.. lol.

I use Yahoogroups.com for my mailing list.. people can opt out easily... and many collectors are already on Yahoo for the groups or with mail.. etc. Works for me.. although I've had one complaint.. but since my mailing list has over 100 people on it I don't think that is too bad.

Yeah, well I use to have a little float of money in my paypal account... but I don't anymore. I don't trust them either and why should they have my money when they are holding other peoples money. That's my little opinion anyway.. lol.

I agree Mindy.. I guess we all keep hoping ebay will go back to what it was... and I don't think it will. I myself have started an Etsy shop and have my Blog.. and will most likely go back to using my website even though it's a bit of a pain to update) and working on advertising it
But I still don't think we've got our ebay whinning out of our system yet.. heehee. lol

I have been wondering how legal it is to hold money... Well just think of the interest that paypal makes holding what I would guess to be Millions of dollars of peoples money every month... and people who keep Balances.. they don't give you interest.. but I'm sure they are making it!
