I use a regular glue gun .... glue the washer to the disc.  On the under side of the disc run a line of glue around the hole where the screw comes through.

Then to ensure the glue harden I place the glued disc into the freezer section of my refrigerator for approximately 24 hours.

When doing this I am able to complete the head joint without the screw turning while I am trying to tighten it.

Great idea .... I have added more mohair to my 'stash'.  Thanks for holding the online sale ... I have been getting dissatisfied with ebay lately.

Hope you have a great day.

Hi Gail

My apologies for not sending out Valentine Cards.  I did not receive the email with the list and unfortunately I was in the hospital for four weeks and the cards were waiting for me upon my discharge.

To everyone on the list I should  have sent cards to ... I wish to send Happy Valentine Day Greetings and hope you received lots of flowers (but not a lot of chocolate!!!).

Cheers

This is amusing ... being in Canada (Southern Ontario) we have had two full days of rain with temperatures above freezing.  As a result, it was a 'green Christmas' for us.  So sad!

Hope you are able to recover without many problems.

Chrismtaswish.jpgAe we approach the magical day, I wish to send Happy Holiday greetings to everyone at Teddy Talk.
Best wishes for the festive season and for 2010, health, happiness, peace, love and prosperity.

For everyone going to enjoy a 'white Christmas' I am envious as it appears to be a 'green Christmas' in Southern Ontario.

As very special thank you to everyone for the wonderful cards I have received from around-the-world.
Also a very special thank you to Gail for organizing the card swap.

Due to illness I have not been able to participate in shows this year, but the card swap has enabled me to remain in contact with bear artists around-the-world.  The special stamps are being kept as I also enjoy collecting stamps from different countries.

Wish to send best wishes for a joyous holiday season and all the very best for 2010.

Ho Lenora

One thing I forgot to mention, is that I use a nut driver  .... with 6/32 screws you need a yellow handled one!!!
It fits tightly over the nut and it makes it very easy to tighten.

Hi Lenora

I use the lock nut/bolt (nylon washer) method all of the time.  Using basic glue gun sticks, I first glue the washer to the disc.
Then place glue on top of the washer to use as a base for the head of the screw.... you want the head of the screw to sit in a pool of glue.
The important part is to let the glue harden/set ... I normally place them in the freezer part of my refrigerator for overnight.  This allows the glue to harden so that you can tighten the lock nut without the disc turning.
I have tried all of the fancy glues, but have found that regular glue gun sticks purchased at Michael's or Walmart work just fine.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you Gail for co-ordinating this project.

I am now busy looking for the 'perfect' Holiday Card with a teddy bear theme so that I can make the international postal deadlines.

Look forward to receiving cards from 'around-the-world'!

In Toronto we have just had a 12 year old 'healthy' boy die from H1N1 flu.  He had been at a weekend hockey tournament and come down with the flu.

Here the on-air interview with his father and how he wishes the H1N1 flu vaccine had been available last week (it only became available in Canada this week).

The experts say we have a 1 in 4 chance of catching H1N1 flu.  Do you want to take the chance of ending up on a respirator or tempting death?

I'm in Toronto and will definitely be getting the H1N1 flu vaccine from my doctor.

Hope this helps with your decision making.

Richy

I have a large, large stash .... if you are only looking for one piece ... what colour are you looking for, and also what size?

I have been getting rid of some of my excess on eBay, so, let me know and if I have what you are looking for, I would be more than happy to send you some.

Cheers
