).
The person below me LOVES pickles!
I managed to get off my butt and enter this year.....one of my resolutions! I've been working up the nerve for about four years now

THANK YOU DAPHNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is the best Christmas gift a girl could ever want! :D. I used to want a teddybear hampster too, but a lot of my friends had them when I was growing up so I just went over and played with theirs.
Laura Lynn: I loved my EZ bake oven when I was a kid, I remember getting it and being afraid to use it at first incase I burned the housedown..........yeah with a light blub, I had an over active imagination as a kid I guess.
Kelly: How sad that you were never given a teddybear
I guess you're making up for that now!
Brenda : I remember looking through the Eaton's catalogues, what wonderful toys they had and well made too! I'm sorry you didn't get your horse.
We didn't have much money growing up either and I would never ask for much usually a stuffed animal was all I wanted, but I was lucky to have and aunt and uncle that both were management at Simpson's in Toronto.
Matilda: You sound like you were a very logically thinking child! I'm glad you eventually bought your own bike!
Hey Jenn: I have a blue rabbit too tah was an easter gift she had daisies on her head! I still have her! I hope Santa can fit your new house in his pack this year!
Jennifer: Did you ever get a Winne the Pooh?
Thank you everyone for sharing your stories!
A big thank you to Daphne for the Garfeild Chia Pet!!
Big hugs, and happy holidays!
AndreaM
Is there something you always wanted for Christmas.........but you never got it?
I was just reading Tami's post asking what was your favorite gift as a child and it made me recall a conversation I was having the other day with friends about the one thing we asked Santa for but never got it, for whatever reason.
One of my friends always wanted a pony.....but she lived in an apartment.
I always wanted a ......I know this will sound weird..........a Chia Pet! Especially when they came out with the Garfield the cat one ( I used to have everything Garfeild!). I never did get one and to this day I still want one, I'm really not sure why.
I asked my mom why Santa never brought me one and she really couldn't answer, she was surprised that he didn't bring one since he always brought me what was on my list.
So, is there something that YOU always wanted but maybe Santa just coudn't fit it in his sleigh?

My most memorable gift, I think would have to be a littl stuffed mouse that I got from my Uncle. I called him 'Frightful' because he had eyes as big as saucers and ears big enough to hide behind.....he looked like he was afraid of something. I still have him, yes I still sleep with him too!
My Uncle passed 8 years ago, I did not know this untill recently when my aunt told me but he used to go out every year on his own shoping for me. My aunt was not allowed to go with him, it was just him shopping for me to find the perfect gift, and she always knew when he had found it because he would walk in the door with the biggest smile and tell her all about it! It made 'Frightful' all that more special to me.

I just received the most beautiful ornament from Gail Parsons of Walnut Tree Corner!!!!!!!
Her name if Frosticle Snowflake and she's just the most beautiful little thing! I will try to get her picture posted tomorrow......having a bit of camera trouble.
She is blue and white with the swwetest little face and she is attached to the most beautiful snowflake that has hand placed crystals and bead work! It's just fantastic! Frosticle arrived in a beautifully hand made colour co-ordinated box with sparkles and snowflakes on it too!
She looks wonderful on my tree, well, when I actually have her on the tree..........I keep taking her down to look at her and admire her.............and yes play with her
A huge thank you to you Gail I really love her
Hugs,
AndreaM
Thanks Ellen, yes I think there is a photshop element 7 that I was looking at on Amazon, I'm not great with technology but my photographer friends have said that it is fairly idiot proof.....which is great for me!
Hugs,
AndreaM
Ellen I like both of your avatars but I love the one in the post with the bear peeking out from the corner. It's like he's poking his head into a picture he wasn't supposed to be in saying "Hey! I wish you a Merry Christmas too!" "Don't forget about me!" It makes me giggle
AndreaM
P.s. what photo shop are you using? There are so many kinds out there, I'm thinking of getting one so I can have fun avatars too! I'd love to out a santa hat on the bear in my avatar now.
Paula: Yours is just beutiful! What a great bear
Hus again,
AndreaM
What a sweet little red bear! She'll look great on the Christmas tree!
This is so much fun, watching the ornaments that are being made for everyone! I wonder who will arrive where next!?
AndreaM
I too keep all of my cards! It's not soooo strange is it
I used to just place them all over the house when they arrived but ast year I found this neat prim looking string with wooden letters spelling "merry christmas"and each letter has a little clothse pin behind it. I hang it up in my living room and put all pf the cards on it as they arrive, they then become a decoration themselves!
Hugs!
AndreaM
Oh, Sarah!
Pip is such a beautiful dog. I'm very pleased that everything went well for him and you! I'm sorry to hear about his clicking knees.........I have a clicking hip, maybe I could come over and he and I could have our clicking fixed together!
Big Hugs!
