I want to make a sitting elephant. Do any of you know where I can buy a pattern? I wouldn't know where to start making one. Maybe a bear with a big nose and big ears???? Ha!
I love reading these replys of how you got started with bears. I can't remember a time when I didn't love bears. One of my favorites is one my husband found in the street run over by cars. I fixed him up and dressed him and he was so soft and cuddly. My granddaughter fell in love with him and still sleeps with him. When my last child was born Hubby bought me a Bialosky bear...that child is now 35! I have numerous bears but when I chanced across Teddy Talk I just had to try making my own. I made one bear and am working on number two. She is my own design and I have had a hard time stopping the designing process and moving on to the sewing. She is all sewed up now and I am stuffing her...can't wait to see her!
I love them both but...how on earth did you make such a tiny mouse? I would need a magnifying glass just to see the mouse...Ha!
Such sweet pals!
Have a wonderful time with your family....
Those would be super on a fairy bear!
What a cutie...
Here is one of the trees in my front yard...behind the pond there is a whole spectrum of fall but I don't have a picture right now.
I can't imagine working on bears that tiny...wow! Do you use a magnifying glass???
What a gorgeous guy...I love him. The black paw pads are wonderful. Fantastic job!!!
Joanne, that is so sad that someone would do that...I guess it is hard for honest people to protect themselves from scammers because we would never think of doing things like that. Our churches cannot even hand out directories anymore because of that type of thing...people get ahold of them and use them for profit! It is getting so hard to trust people and that is very sad!
WOW Alison, do you have a picture??? I would love to see it.
I have been searching fof pictures of real bear paws and I came up with some real nice ones. This print of real bear paws is very helpful to me. Perhaps it would help someone else too...
So cute...my Dad used to love ribbon candy. It so pretty but I do not like to eat it...well, I guess there is not much candy I do like to eat!
Best wishes to Ben for a full recovery...
TamiL, I love you little one...
Here's mine!
WOW, I am overwhelmed! What a lot of lovely bears. Jalina, I love your bear and rabbit. Eva, Dad and boys is so charming. Goldelas, your babies are so sweet. Cheryl, Puzzle is a perfect bear for Picasso...how clever of you. Pauline, Primrose is a real sweetie. Joanne, Munds and Windelman are perfect. What a great idea! Tindle bears, my son would have loved those bears as much as he loved peanut butter and jelly. Laurie, Toby and Tinker look like they want a hug. (and I would be happy to hug them!) Bearylovely, I can't say I have ever imagined a bear on a horse...Good job on both.
I hope I didn't miss anyone. I could look at these bears for hours. What a bunch of talented ladies...
Very clever Claudia...and so cute!
I would like to know, what does Federbärchen Mean?
I am making a baby bear out of white curly fur. I want her eyes, nose and paw pads to be black. (I know!) Anyway, how would I "sculpt" them? Should I use black thread or perhaps white to make the definition show and look like white fur between the pads???? Has anyone ever done a white bear with black markings?
Oh how cute...she needs a tiny little teddy in her pouch.
What an expression...this cat is not in the Halloween mood!
