Well, I can't come up with a name besides Roger (and what an original name, huh?!) but he is just wonderful! I love him!
Oh, and hi! Since I've not met you yet.... It's very nice to meet you!
Kimberly W.
Oh my goodness! I loooooove your bears faces! They are just so perfectly sweet! the darker upper lip is to die for...
Kimberly W.
That brought a tear to my eye... hold on to that dear bear! And what a sweet bear she is... LOVE the name.

Hi Deborah! Well, I can't say anything new that hasn't already been said, but yes, please do join in on the next swap (keep your eyes peeled for it)... Also, I'd love to swap with you some time that I'm not so swamped! (dunno if you'd want to swap with me, but..... lol)
Kimberly W.
Hey Stephanie,
Geez, I just now got a chance to get on here and look at your reply in here! Thank YOU for my sweet little guy. By the way, I decided to name him James. I'm so glad you like him; you have no idea how unnerving it is to know my bear was going to a veteran, known miniature bear artist! Thank you thank you, Steph! I love James!
Kimberly W.
Hey Kerren; welcome back! Sounds like you've had loads to do! lol Now if I can just get motivated.......
Kimberly W.
Oh and P.S. The second version is SO cute! He looks like a completely different bear! Guess he had his excorcism
Kimberly W.
I agree with Kim, Anne! Sure, the first eyes did make the bear just a tad possessed, but you know, you would have never known if you hadn't tried it... and sometimes trying something new can be a great discovery! So don't worry one second about scaring us with the freaky eyes; we know you make WONDERFUL bears, and at the very least, I don't think for a second that you aren't good just because of that.... Don't be silly! I experiment and mess up plenty!
Keep experimenting; don't ever stop! And if you need input again, post it and don't worry! That's what we're here for!

Oh whew.... it had fallen down behind the computer desk... I had it in one of those tiny ziploc bags, and it's easy to lose! Won't let that happen again!

GAAAAAA! I have lost my pattern for my minis!
I KNOW it's somewhere in this MESSY DARN HOUSE but I can't find it anywhere!!! I have completely retraced my steps. It's my own pattern, so if I can't find it, I can't make my little ones just like they were!
AAAGH! OK, I am off to SCOUR MY HOUSE.
Let me tell you, if and when I finally find it (I HOPE I HOPE) I will be making an exact copy and putting it in a safe place!

I love love love this bear and her expression! She is TOO darling! Do let us know how your sister reacted!
Kimberly W.
Thanks so much for the info, all! Now I know I can go ahead and wash!
Kimberly W.
Kim Bee,
Yes, he is. I just shipped him out today, so he should get there soon!!
Thank you, all, for the compliments on the last picture; I couldn't resist taking that one! I sure love this little guy she made me; now he's cozied right in with my bear from Kim Bee and Winnie! Uh oh... my 'collection' is growing, and I'm not even a collector!!
Kimberly W.
Thank you all; I am sooooo happy with my little swap bear! But don't expect a reply from Stephanie until she gets my bear, as she does not want to see her bear til she gets him and is not going to look at this post!
Kim Bee,
You're all too right,
you rhymed so swell
but that bear's a boy,
a bit hard to tell
Do not fret,
offense not taken
you're not the first
to be mistaken!
Kimberly W.
Awwwww, Samuel's little brother... he is, isn't he? I still do and always will miss Samuel.... So I gues this little guy (who is going to watch over a baby boy) Jacob, is brother to Samuel....
Thanks for noticing. Samuel was my favorite bear....
Kimberly W.
OMIGOSH!!!!!!! I almost choked on my tea! They are SO SO SO SO SO SO SO cute!!! Did I mention they're cute???????? I want each and every one.... and then another each and every one for my sister, the lover of monkeys....
Kimberly W.
Hi all! I received my swap bear from Stephanie of Sassy Bears! Isn't he cute?! His little toes are just perfect, and he's so soft and scrubby! I named him James (I guess I was supposed to name him!) I haven't shipped out her little guy yet (he'll be going out tomorrow) so I got to have a little fun letting them play together before he left!
There's always a little time for piggy back!
Kimberly W.
Hey all,
Thnk you very much for saying I did a good job on my first try. I will certainly be doing the airbrushing more and more in the future. Thank you, Judi for the tips on layering; as I get more comfortable with the airbrush, I'll definitely give that a try! I didn't want to get too froggy this time around! ha! And no, I didn't take any offense to your tips... they are great! Thank you!
Kimberly W.
Hi Dapne, Thank you for the compliments... Yes, I did hand paint the eyes... and you are right, I can hardly see the shading around the eyes, too... I was so afraid of going overboard! No whites under the eyes....
Sue Ann,
Thank you also!! (and for being honest as well! )
Kimberly W.
So, I've read all about washing mohair to make it nice and soft, but I 'don't think' I've read anything on washing Alpaca.... Does everyone wash their alpaca just the same as mohair, or no, don't wash alpaca?
Please let me know, as I'm thinking on an alpaca bear!
Thank you all so much in advance!
Kimberly W.
Well, here he is! Sorry for the delay, all; I've been really busy! Haven't even gotten a chance to get on and take a look at new bears!
As I said, he's been very lightly shaded... I shaded around his eyes, gave him some inside corners to his eyes, shaded his mouth, the upper lip, around the nose, and between the toes.... So how is it for a first timer? Be HONEST, please! No froo froo just-to-be-nice comments, OK??
