Thank you Ali and Joanne for your kind comments and encouragement. I'm really enjoying my bearmaking. It just has to be one of the most engrossing, endlessly fascinating and CHALLENGING occupations, ever. I go to sleep thinking about my next project.

Thanks, Peter. My obsession with making polar bears continues! My husband thinks I am obsessed with polar bears. I have always loved white animals. I have two white Maltese dogs and a white Westie. There is something SO appealing about white fur and dark eyes.
Just to prove my husband wrong, I am going to try a panda next!

I have just finished Sasha, a little polar cub. He is made from a very soft, ivory Shulte alpaca with glass eyes, black perle nose and soft, black leather pads. He is softly stuffed with polyfill and weighted with plastic beads. His nose, mouth, eyes and ears are lightly shaded. His claws are made from epoxy clay. He is 13 inches tall, but has bent legs, so is designed to sit. He is 9 inches sitting.

As the happy owner of one of your lovely pandas, I am SO sorry to hear you are thinking of giving up. Good luck with whatever you do in the future!

What a darling piglet. You have really captured the character of a piglet. Love him!
Hi Thomas
I am SO pleased that Royal Mail managed to get him to you and he appears to have made friends.

Lovely. I love all the wonderful deatails you add to your doogles.
What a darling poppet! Just the sweetest expression!
His eyes are mesmerising! Amazing. His fur looks so lovely and soft.
Absolutely stunning. Too cute for words.
Many thanks everyone
Thanks Joanne. I've been having great fun creating different permutations of my original pattern. I need to spend some time improving my photography. Up until now, I have just been taking snaps and not really showing my bears to their best advantage. I think they are better 'in the fur'. Problem is...I'd rather spend my limited time making another little character!
Good to hear from you Peter. Glad to hear Bashful likes life in Belgium.

What a wonderful stand and fabulous, fabulous bunnies. I don't know how you can part with them. They all look so jolly, so I gather there weren't any foxes at the show.
Hi Jane
SO sorry to hear you have given up making bears. I own a gorgeous little bear of yours (purchased from Abracadabra in the Uk). As well as being a lovely bear, she is so beautifully made. Good luck in your new venture.

Thank you, ladies. He was my first effort at this type of open mouth. Many thanks to Monica Spicer for her online tutorial!
Great bears. They look SOOOO cuddly!
Fabulous little bear. Such attention to detail! Just wonderful!
Dear, sweet face. Love his quiff!!!
What gorgeous eyes. I live the matching fur and eye colour. Super!
Please say hi to Cheeky. He is made from my favourite cream alpaca/mohair mix that is really, really soft. He is a cheerful, chubby little fellow, about 13inches tall, 10 inches sitting. He has black glass eyes and appliqued and stuffed black leather paw pads. He has been softly stuffed with polyfill and plastic pellets so he can give you a lovely, soft cuddle. He has a gentle smile and his face has been scissor sculpted.
I hope you like him.
Regards
Sue
