I will definitely remember this family and friends in prayer. God can and will comfort the broken heart.
Congratulations! I am happy for you.
What a precious little girl! I have learned from teaching kids in Sunday School for years that parents really should be careful around the kids. They will tell on you.
Patsy is a very talented lady. She makes lovely bears. Although I have never met her, I know from reading about her that she is a very strong, brave woman.
"This is the day which the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it." I have nothing to be negative about and everything to be positive. I have my family (thank God), my friends (human and animal) and I am able to get out and work in the garden now. What a beautiful time of year.
Sue Ann,
Booker is so cute. He does look like a baby that's too young to have already given away his heart.
Eileen,
Pendleton is adorable. He is very life like. He looks very much like my bunny, Edison. The biggest difference being that Edison is a real bunny and does not wear overalls.
Well, well I'm a 5. A nonconformist, me? You bet! I tend to color outside the lines. I loathe confinement.
Webster is so cute. What a lucky friend you have.
Shelli,
You mentioned that you want a mottled look. The last couple of bears that I dyed were done with two shades of Rit liquid dye. I started with dark brown dye in the water and then added a bit of tan. I did not mix the dyes well. My pieces came out a beautiful shade of brown with almost blonde highlights. With these I rinse them very well and air dry them.
Thanks Hayley. I've always said, God can even use animals to teach us humans a lesson.
What a beautiful bunny. I had just heard a few days ago about this big breed. I want one. I have 7 rabbits now which are rescues. After Easter when all the novelty of the bunny wears off, I usually get calls of bunnies needing homes.
I always completely finish the head of the bear first. That way I have this little face looking at me begging for a body to go with the head. I must admit though that it is a little harder to get my bears done this time of year. In springtime I just want to be outside.
Sue Ann,
I also am an animal lover. We live on a small farm and do at times have a varment problem. Coyotes are just beginning to show up in the area. My thought is "I won't bother you if you don't bother me". When the varments begin to come around my chickens, rabbits etc., they have to go. My husband had to shoot a possum last week. If he had been minding his own business, everything would have been fine. However, he was at the chicken house. Also, remember that when a wild animal loses its fear of man, that is when it becomes dangerous.
What a sweetheart.
He is so cute. This bear just looks like he's enjoying life.
What a super bear! Beautiful work.
I'll just jump in here with my 2 cents worth. I lived in Houston for 5 years. My husband is from Houston so we have family there. Texas does grow on you. When we discuss the chance of returning to Texas, we look in the hill country area. I am not a city person and it would be hard to fit my horses and rabbits into the city atmosphere. Texas summers are hot, but spring and fall are absolutely beautiful there. I envy you having such an adventure before you.
I have found that the generic brands of drink mix (Walmart etc.) work just as well as Kool Ade. I don't really have a recipe. I just get in there and go.
What cuties. I agree with you, shading the eyes is much easier and I like the effect.
I love your bear. I see you, like myself, enjoy playing with dye. It is so much fun to see what you come out with, and the color is definitely original.
Please don't hide too long. You're in our prayers.
He is adorable. I know where you're coming from with ebay. I have been listing several bears lately because I need the money to help recover from all we've faced. I have been very happy with some, but not so happy with others.
You can't deny this one. Very cute.
