All I can say is "precious".
This guy is awesome! The first name that comes to mind for me is Fairbanks. That name has duel meaning. Of course, Fairbanks, Alaska, but also the actor Douglas Fairbanks who was a very handsome and classy man.
I think she is so cute. I love the big eyes.
A few years ago, we took in a stray kitten. He is also a yellow tabby, and his name is also Skippy because he was such a little clown. He has now calmed down and is a very laid back kind of guy.
She is absolutely beautiful.
Thank you all so much. I really appreciate you. Regarding the colors: this bear is hand dyed with black walnut hulls.
Most of my bears are the "old" style. I'm not sure if I can help, but I am willing to try. I know this style has longer arms and smaller ears. I also use short mohair. Intercal has some really nice stuff that comes in colors like antique gold and antique brown. Nancy Tillberg has some good info in her books also. If you have questions, I can try to get the answers for you.

I love animals of all kinds. I am definitely an animal person (or maybe just an animal). Two of my favorite "strange" animals are skunks and wildebeest. Skunks are just the cutest. They kind of skip along through life with the attitude "you don't bother me, and I won't bother you". The wildebeest amazes me. I think when God was creating the animals, He had pieces left over from some of the other animals (cow, horse etc.) so He put them together and came up with the wildebeest. They are so cool.
I am clueless about this Bid4bears. Who, what, where, when and how?
You do super work. I say keep at it.
What a character! I like him.
Simple, yet elegant.
This is Eliana. I had this bear cut out when my daughter was diagnosed with lymphoma. I never picked her up again until recently (my daughter is healed). Now I have finished her and chosen the name because it is Hebrew meaning "my God has answered". She sits on my desk where I see her everyday. She reminds me of what an awesome, loving God I serve. She also wears a mustard seed of faith pin.
I would like to hear from anyone with suggestions for returning to the selling world. I think you all know that I went through and ordeal with my daughter being diagnosed with lymphoma (she is healed, thank God). In that mess I became so distraught that I just layed everything aside. I literally threw all of my bear supplies etc. into my room and never touched them again until recently. (The picture of my miracle bear is posted in the showcase.) Now I want to return. My website is no longer in existence. I would love any suggestions for web hosting etc. I need all of the help I can get. I am selling some bears on ebay because, frankly, I need the money after all that has happened.
Penelope is precious. If you are anything like I am, you will never want to return to synthetic after using the mohair.
Way to go Hayley!!!! I can see why he won. He is fabulous.
Your bears are super. Your mind must be collecting ideas constantly. Great work!
Helena,
I am so thrilled for you. You were in my prayers yesterday, and I thank God you are OK.
I'm so happy for your bunny. I have 7 rabbits (all are rescues). Believe it or not, rabbits can be a mystery to vets. If you look around, you can find one who is more knowledgeable about rabbits.
Congratulations Helena! I am so happy for you.
Helena,
I assure you that I am praying for you. You must remember that all things are possible with God. He has you in His hands, and there is no better place to be.
I have returned and I must say that things around here sure have changed in the past couple of months. Well, the great news. Most of you know that in December my daughter was diagnosed with lymphoma (I thank you all so much for the prayers). The prayers were answered! God has healed Tiffany. She took one chemo treatment on a Tuesday in January. The following Sunday she was prayed for in a dynamic Sunday service. God healed her. She had a lymph node under her arm that was 10 cm. That's huge. After she was prayed for, it was almost gone. When she seen the doctor on her follow up, the lymph nodes were resolved. She now looks and feels better than she has in a long, long time. The picture of this bear is one that I had cut out before all of this took place. I was so distraught that I never picked it up again, until now. I have finished her and I have named her Eliana which in Hebrew means "my God has answered". She will not be sold. She is our reminder of what God has done. Again, I thank you so much for your prayers and support. You are all wonderful.
Thank you all so much. My daughter's name is Tiffany. I really feel like God is going to see her through all of this and, amazingly, she is holding up better than I am. I just have roller coaster emotions right now. I just want to crawl in bed and stay there until the dream is over. It has been 20 years ago that we lost my mom to cancer and I admit that I'm very scared. I hope God understands my worry.
Again, thank you all so much for your prayers. It really means a lot to me.
We need your prayers here. Yesterday the doctor told us that he is pretty sure that my daughter (22 yr. old) has lymphoma (cancer). I do know that God has everything under control and I believe in miracles, but I feel like everything is just coming in on me. I probably will not post too much for a while.
Jody,
I do have the email and can forward it to you. However, I have not been able to get it to download onto ebay. When I preview my file, it looks fine but it will not show on the ebay page. I'll send it to you and you can let me know if it works for you.
