Thanks everyone ! ! ! We're all thrilled with the latest test results. And, yes, I admit it, Sullivan is the cutest baby around. (Proud and prejudiced Nana speaking here.)
In case you hadn't seen my earlier posts about my grandson, Sullivan, he was diagnosed with infant glaucoma at 3 months. He's had two surgeries. His recent pressure tests were excellent.
There was a good possibility that he would be nearsighted and need glasses. At 6 months old now, he had his appointment with the opthomoligist last week. The doctor told Tracy that if he hadn't read about Sullivan's glaucoma in his chart, he wouldn't have believed it. Sullivan's eye tests were PERFECT ! ! !
Here's the happy boy:
Yes, it seemed negative to me too. They could have said something like,
"We're sorry to hear that the only other magazine dedicated to bear lovers in the UK has stopped publishing. We are happy to say that we are still going strong and appreciate your support."
Bear lovers are a warm fuzzy bunch, afterall. It would have seemed a kinder way to put it.
We found a home, made an offer and will enter escrow tomorrow. Yeaaaaaaaaay. We'll be able to have a quick escrow so that we can move from one house to the other and not have to put our belongings in storage. The first house we liked was tiny house, big property (5 acres). This one is big house, small property and in Yuba City, CA where it gets reeeeaaaaalllly hot in the summer. Fortunately this house has a pool to help tolerate the heat. So for now, I must get packing.
Hope to see you at the shows, Susie.
Jane, you are such a sweetie ! ! ! Great banner ! ! !
Great story ! ! ! I know I have been blessed by the kindness of strangers. How sweet of your friend to help the poor doggie have a respite from the chaos.

We aren't moving far away. We were going to move to Tennessee but we changed our mind. I always thought I'd get my younger daughter to go with us, but since she started dating a new guy, and it looks a little serious, I'm convinced she won't be going with us. I can't leave her behind. So, we're staying in this area.
We decided not to buy the house with the beautiful grounds because I don't want to put up with remodeling and building (been there, done that). So, we're on the search for something else. Wish us luck on that one.
Thanks Sue and Janice.
We actually found a home we like. It has 5 acres, a meadow, weeping willow trees (my favorite) a little vinyard, a huge green lawn and fruit trees. It has a detached 400 sq ft office that would make a perfect studio for me and a 700 sq ft office next to the garage. I told the hubster he could make it a "man room" with his big TV, a fridge full of beer and a recliner chair (man heaven, right?). He really liked that idea. So . . . we'll see.
We've had our house on the market for less than 3 months. Friday, we got a good offer and SOLD ! ! ! Yay ! ! ! And, the buyer is paying cash, so no worries about the buyers having loan problems. Many homes in our community are sitting on the market for over a year. We've been praying like crazy for a buyer and the icing on the cake was that we got very close to our asking price.
The buyer has asked for a 30 day escrow which means that as of today, we have 27 days to find a home to buy, pack and move out. Even then, we'll have a 30 to 45 (or even 60) day escrow. So, we'll have to put our belongings in storage and stay in my parents' 500 sq foot apartment over their barn until we can move into a new home (wherever that might be).
Yep, I measure the way Sue Ann measures. Kind of the same way we measured our kids and marked their progress on the wall. For bent leg bears, I lay him/her on the ruler.
Wow, I like her, she's beautiful. How big is she?
One . . . if you like to pop the bubbles on the bubble wrap, check out the widget on my blog. When you pop enough bubbles, click "fresh sheet" under the sheet of bubble wrap and turn up the volume on your speakers. http://www.swanvalleybears.blogspot.com/
Two . . . I had to share this. It's about the cutest thing I've ever seen:
If you do accept credit cards, I'd find a way to do it over the phone or on a laptop. I've had three transcations declined when I got home and input them into the computer. The first two came through with new cards. I'm still waiting on the third. I had to write her a letter.
I'll post anything I hear. Here's the "Dolls4All" website. http://www.dolls4all.com/
You can sign up for her mailing list for news from Dorothy.
I hope I'm not premature in saying this, but, I spoke to Dorothy Drake today (she does the Crossroads Doll and Bear Shows). She says she is in the process of purchasing the San Diego show. She didn't have enough information to give right now but should have more info after a visit to San Diego later. I can't wait to hear ! ! ! I hope to be there next January.
Cute, cute, cute, Shantell. I love the name too "Apple Dumpling Annies".
They're so sweet when they are babies. But, when they're adults, I find myself shooing them away.
There's no landscaping in the back yard as we live on a downhill slope and have decks on the back. But in the front yard, they try to eat whatever we plant. I walk right up to them shouting "shoo". They don't leave until I smack a boulder with rolled up newspaper making a loud noise. The hubster sprays the plants with Liquid Fence. I stinks to high heaven but it seems to work. I think it's mountain lion urine.
I have to be careful with them when my dogs are out as they have been known to attack dogs here.
There are hundreds of deer who live in our community and a gang of 8 or 10 that live on our street. I took these pictures this morning from our deck. These babes are probably only a day or two old. They almost blend into the background.
What is they say in their commercials? "What's in your wallet?" Whoops for them.
Hi Debora and Nancy. I've added you both to my web site links and my blog. Thanks ! ! !
