Ok before I get too big to fit into my shoes with all these compliments, I always belive in life that we can always help each other in some way, I was able to help Shel( actually I did not realize it was your birthday when I added the few little extras) and what a coincidence that the parcel arrived when it did- destiny !!!
As you will all notice Shelli has done my Vendor poster, my new avatar something that would have had me spending hours at my computer, even then I am not sure if I would have got the professional look that Shel achieved.

The Lion King is a fantastic show, I can see Judi's head buzzing with some new ideas- A simba perhaps ?????

Mohair fabrics, South Sea quilting fabrics, all my travelling which allows me to see such a variety of bears, and then of course just to be caught up in the wonderful world of TeddyTalk , being able to share not just teddy bear related items, but other things that touch the heart.

hahah Daphne, I am keeping my daughter company, we both 3 months pregnant now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ahh well, any excuse, but I do need and want to do something, the mad thing is that I actually do not have much to loose. I gave up with the walk/running, as my brain was wobbling too much like jelly. Saw the Dr today and she said that with my medication I have to drink water, which is something I do not do. Also she made me promise that I have to see another Dr. for tests, not related to weight but something else, so I now must go in for these tests, I have to go on a liquid diet for 3 days before the tests, which are then done under anaesthetic. She has also suggested that I write a book, which she will edit about my life/ experiences , so its been an eventfull day with one thing and another.
Much easier just to make teddy bears !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On my travels I would collect a small charm teddy bear, then decided to add them all to a charm bracelet. It is always something to talk about at the fairs as people are drawn to the charm bracelet. (Picture will follow). I have said that it will always go to my first grand daughter when she is old enought to wear it one day.My husband in Korea placed a bid on a 22 gold carat teddy bear made by a Japanese artist, in an auction to raise funds for the Tsunami victims in conjunction with Linda Mullins and he won the bid. I will collect the bear when in Japan, something I am excited about. My late 35th wedding aniversary and late Christmas present.
My other collection is the Swarovski crystal teddy bears( Picture will follow).

hah, I also ordered, just waiting for PayPal to set my limit a bit higher, see what you girls are getting me up too, as if I do not have enough mohair in the cupboard, but Daphne, thanks for sharing that picture, it does look stunning.
Marie, I will make one or two to take with me to Japan now in March. I have already made two with Japanese Alpaca that look very cute, they just need a few things finished off, ( something keeps me away from working on them- now I wonder what that could be?????) Marie have you tried the alpaca that is available in Japan? it is oh so soft.

I have just set up a PayPal account ,because I want to get something on the internet and the supplier will only let me pay this way, so I thought wel,l might as well do it then if someone wants to pay me I can use this option, as I do not have any other credit card facilities for internet purchases on my website. When I travel normally I get paid in cash, in UK, I can bank cheques as I have an account there. Credit cards when travelling can be a problem, normally another artist will cash them for me taking off the charges the credit company charge them, with the understanding that I take the risk if the card is stolen, which I am prepared to do. Sometimes the organisers will also accept the credit cards on your behalf and give you back the cash less the credit card percentage, all in all a plan can always be made.
It is always better to separate your business from your personal side of things, if you are using one bank account, then keep a record in a book where you show a break down of what is personal and what is business.
In the beginning it might be very little but it all adds up.
Another thing is to also keep a record of cash that you spend, all this can purely be for your own interest and for your  own eyes.

Ok guys and gals I have some information for you, straight from the horses mouth,
I know Hans at probaer, so I called him and I can tell you this,
the Schulte curly alpaca is the latest alpaca to be introduced and is only available in a 10mm length. The colours are on the website, and are the numbers 5470-5477.
It is sold from 15cm, then up by 5cm, so next would be 20cm, 25, 30cm and so on, the width is 140cm.
Jared has given you the conversion from yards to metric, you get more when buying in metric. Fat quaters work the same way, but your metric fat quater will be slightly bigger.
It sells for 93.00 euro a metre which is approx 112.00 US $.
They do ship worldwide, but he mentioned that shipping 5kilo will cost 35.00 euros, he suggests thou, if you placed a bigger order, perhaps you clubbed together with an order, then the shipping costs get reduced.
They accept all kinds of credit cards and of course Paypal.
They also have a straight alpaca, which is a 11mm pile, but he says because it is dense it give the appearance of a much longer looking pile, on the website it is colours 5487-5491.
The other way to go is to contact Edinburgh Import the official agent for Schulte and ask them t get it in for you, or even to ask Intercal if they can get it for you.
Hans said this is a fantastic fabric to work with.
Daphne, you can always email them with any requests, they do speak English and I am sure they will help you out.      http://www.probaer.de The main site gives you an English, French version for you to look at.
I hope that this has helped you out a bit,

I have string mohair, sitting in the cupboard, hah, you will hear lots of this, I have it  sitting in the cupboard- I was going to do patchwork, quilting , teddy bears and cross stitch, when I sold my one business and down scaled and opened my other shop, then patchwork took over and I brought home all the mohair, x/stitch stock) , the backing is the same as any of the other mohairs, and I was told that it dyes very well, also that it does fluff up when washed, but never tried it. I think I have about 4 metres of it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has worked so well for me, I thought I would share it.

I've found a great new diet and exercise routine!

Take one Weetbix. Take a large  Aero chocolate bar.
Crumble the whole Aero over the Weetbix.

Voila!

Aerobix
