Hi Henry and Daph,
Glad dad made it through the surgery, that must be a huge relief!
We are all thinking of you and your family and offering heartfelt prayers.
Stay safe,
Jane...WOW! What a GREAT job you did on that! I can SEE how long it took too...you're a legend! THANKYOU!!!!!
And to all those gals who didn't make the cruise....get your pics up in the user photos so Jane can invite you next time too!
Hi girls,
You can buy mechanisms to do this. I have not tried one myself so don't know how successful they are. They are not real cheap, about $30 AUD for one to fit a 12 inch bear up to $35 AUD for one to fit a 24 inch bear.
You can see from the pic basically how they work so it you have a handyman and plenty of patience you could probably have a go at your own. If not and you'd like to try one of the purchased ones, PM me and I'll order one for you.
Kim,
I always think a bandana around the neck looks good on a boy bear..like Shelli does. Or a key/bell on a leather strip.
Daphne,
I joined up and was all eager to participate...but then I read that you need to by the book..and I just can't stretch my finances to do so at the moment. It's a shame. I do pop my head in now and then but feel I can't contribute when I don't know what the book says.
Jeannie, if she posted them together you may get a very unusual mohair too....naturally dyed and holey to boot!
Kim and Kim I loved your babies too. I have hadfboth micees and ratties over the past few years and only just lost my last rattie before Christmas. I always had girls and they weren't smelly. I loved sitting at the computer with a furry bundle under my jumper or nuzzled into my neck. They used to make that gentle bruxing sound of contentment. I miss them but decided not to get more as they are a lot of work if you don't want their cage to smell (even though mine were kept in a three storey rattie resort!). and my heart broke badly as each one died.....they don't live long enough.
Kim...that rattie lying upside down is the fattest squish I have ever laid eyes on! My ratties would never lay on their back like that but I wish they did...it must be fun to stroke that tummy!~ Adorable!
Amanda..I'm afraid I'm with Judi on the tarantula....my hair stood on end when I saw that picture. I'm sure they are lovely pets, but not for me. I don't mind spiders in general...I will happily pick up the daddy longlegs or even that one in the other pic if it wasn't poisonous...but no way would I go withing 20 feet of your tarantula! (we need a freaked out smiley for sure!)
The biggest spiders we have here in Aussie are Huntsmens and I hate them. Don't mind them outside but if they are inside or in the car SCREAMMMMMMM!!!!!!
Please...no-one feel the need to post a pic of a huntsman!
Heather...I think your mousie is every bit as cute as everyone else's. In fact he looks very cuddleable if that's a word! Isn't it amazing how different they all are and from such a simple pattern.
So sorry Jane. What a shocking day. I feel so badly for you and Phillip, especially him having lost his sister so tragically.
You are most definitely in my thoughts and prayers.
Here's a hug for you from me too.
Winney, I think you'll find someone has been playing around with that giraffe in photoshop.
Thanks everyone and I'm glad you liked it Kim. It wasn't hard work guys..Kim already had the graphics on her website, all I did was bang it all together. She's very talented!
Wanda,
Your bears are truly unique in style and very eye catching. Not every collector wants 'bling' on their bears. The style you have developed is so appealing and I think you should be really proud of the look you have developed..I can pick one  of your bears from a line-up anyday. Most new artists aspire exactly for that. Be proud, your bears are to die for.
Fantastic makeover Yvette! What a cute girlie she is now. I LOVE how you did the wings...very stylish.
Everyone wants a bunny..... but it's against my contract and the copyright to sell bunnies for profit.
Oh well...guess it'll have to be a love job then! Add me to the list!
How cool is that! Daphne when this movie comes out every single child will want one of those bunnies...I can see them being mass produced for all the chain stores now. But they won't be anywhere near as cute as the real one. You did an outstanding job on that bun...he's really cute!!!
Oh and about the disclosure part you only told a few close friends...and we can keep a secret...can't we girls! (says Hayley to the 150 odd members at TT )
Those colours look great Julia....can't wait to see your 'rainbow' bears!
There's a great thread here somewhere on tiny tails with some ingenious trade secrets. Try doing a search on tails. It was only a couple of months ago, maybe not even that.
When things really start getting me down Daphne, I have a little 'mental visualisation' that I use. I sit very quiet and still and close my eyes and picture God in all His warmth, strength and goodness wrapping me in His strong arms and just holding me. It's amazing the feeling of peace that I feel when I do this. Maybe you'd like to try it and even your mum and dad.
It's got to be really tough for you all right now and those trips must be exhausting you.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
I think it's really important too Claire. I feel quite let down when I go to a bear artists website and there is no pic of them. In fact the 'About" page is the first page I visit so I know who I'm 'visiting with'.
I don't think there are many people who love their photo so much that they don't feel awkward about displaying it for all the world to see, but I think it's a necessary evil to make that personal connection with your collectors.
Having said that, what Judi says makes great sense...something that is fairly close and well focussed. There's nothing more annoying than squinting at the screen trying to see what someone REALLY looks like. Do it...you're a pretty girl and have nothing to feel embarassed about anyway. And besides..until I saw your pic, I pictured you as a strawberry blonde...don't ask me why.
If you don't have a pic you are happy with, ask someone you trust to take some for you, preferrably outside in the shade so the lighting is good. Having my pic taken is a pet hate, but I made myself.
Hi Judi,
I missed that you were sick too...so sorry! I have had pleurisy before too and it's very nasty. I'm glad it's sorted now and you are on the right drugs...you should be on the mend faster now. I know how dreadful constant violent coughing can be and have heard of people cracking a ribs from it.
Aleta!

I'll tell ya what..I have never even heard of some of those movies..so I'm taking notes and now I have heaps of recommendations for next time I'm umming and ahhing at the video shop.
I love anything fantasy, hate anything horror (too much bad stuff happening in the world as it is without watching blood and guts for entertainment )but sit me down to a feel good type family/kiddish movie anyday and I'm happy.
Amongst my favourites are Jackie Chan movies...he's so funny and not bad lookin' either!
Thinking of you and your little Midget Tracy..it's so hard when they can't tell us what's wrong isn't it.
Hope you see some improvement soon.

Mindy thanks for that explanation. I'm sure you'll be seeing an increase in pics being submitted...prepare to be mobbed!
There's only one wizard behind this particular curtain, and I can't always pull the levers fast enough.
I LOVE this quote and I'll be using it next time my kids become overly demanding!

And please follow up by sending me pictures for editorial, too. I never have enough pictures. They are always welcome. (That goes for the rest of you, too!)
That's so great to know Mindy! You know I've often thought of sending some pics in but am often put off trying because I thought you would have so many pics to choose from that my chances of getting a pic chosen were slim. I guess you've gotta be in it to win it huh.I will send some pics for the International Edition and an ad for the TT ad too.
Thanks for that list of suggestions Judi...I'm really inspired to make a ....slug!
At least it wouldn't take long!
