OMG! Those are soooo beautiful
I am working on a realistic bear right now and truly appreciate the pics!!
PS... The first one is a slight resemblance of myself from behind
Hi ya Miss Ginger,
I like you love to stroll through etsy. I have a shop but don't have bears yet just my felted soaps.
It's www.bearpawsbyroxanne.etsy.com.
Thanks y'all for the lucky vibes.. and hugs
Marlyns asked:
Did your hurt both hands or piled up all the pain in one?
Yeppers, The slammed finger on the left and the puncture on the right....
Heres a little pic of my poor car. You can see the round swirls where the hail got it....
At least the insurance people are acting fast. We replace the window tomorrow and meet with the inspector Sunday. They will probably write the check for the damage then.
Tami,
That looks so calm and peaceful
We are about to blow away here today!!
Your little robin friend is adorable too... I am looking out my window here watching a big ol' black grackle bird steal the dogfood!
Boy what a last few weeks this has been.
First, my husband gets hit by another truck and totals out his new truck of only 3 weeks, and has a fractured shoulder.
Second, 2 weeks ago I slammed my hand in a door and I believe I might have fractured it. I have a bump on my finger that still gives me terrific pain.
Then, a couple days ago I was using a knife to cut out a label from a shirt and the knife slipped and got me on my hand between my thumb and index finger, ya know where that tendon runs along there. It is taking forever to heal because it was a puncture wound.
Then..... Now to the HAIL! We had a hail storm roll through last night that had hail the size of golf balls. I have a hail damaged vehicle in my drive way, plus, our other car has the rear window busted out and heavy hail damage to it!!
It makes a gal want to ask "What's NEXT?"
Can I use wool felt with the trapunto or reverved trapunto instead of ultra-suede?
Thanks!
AAAAHHHHH! ya'll are gonna have to come over and pick me up off of the floor.
That just cracked me up! I had the same experience not to long ago. I had to go to the "misfit" box and find this head that I was trying different techniques on. First I stitched the nose, did not like it, then I needle felted over it, hated it! Took the ol' sissors and cut it all off
Good luck with finding him a new nose!
Mandy Patinkin's voice makes me melt to the floor.........

OOOO! I know this one.
Stronger, faster, longer......A re-mix of Daft Punks.
Born down in a dead-mans town
The first kick I took is when I hit the ground.
End up like a dog thats been beat to much
Till you spend half your life just a coverin' up.
Nancy,
Rainy Days and Mondays by The Carpenters!
How about:
I look at you all see the love there that's sleeping
LA LA LA LA LALA LA
I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping
LA LA LALA LA LA LA
I don't know why nobody told you how to unfold your love
I don't know how someone controlled you
They bought and sold you.
Thanks friends
Here is another one I just finished.
Thanks, But I cant take credit for this idea.
It has been around for some time now. I found the technique while searching on the internet.
Have you used it with the felted wool around it? Just wondering if it turns into a nice soft scrubby.
Yes, as the soap shrinks, the wool around it slightly shrinks down too. When the soap is gone you have a little scrubby to use.
Thank you all for the hugs of encouragement. I truly appreciate it.
I feel as if I owe an apology to you. I kinda went off on a tirade. My emotions were at wits end and I just had to blow off some steam. I know I probably sounded like a whining fool because I am having a slow time right now. But when things are doing well we kinda get a little spoiled and want it to continue. I know that the economy is touchy right now, but guess what, it is finally looking good down here in west texas. The housing is up, wages are up. Businesses around here are begging people on the streets to work for them.
I really have considered doing shows, but like I had said before, being here in west tx I am hundreds of miles from any shows at all. Albuquerque, 406 miles. Dallas, 360 miles. Any which way is quite a distance.
There were a suggestion to make smaller bears. Yes, that is a great idea. I have been working on a idea or two.
I'm not going to give up, I really love doing what I do. Please accept my apology for being such a "wah baby!"
Somebody call the wahm-bulance!!
Thanks again for your heart felt thoughts!
Have you ever heard of it? I used my handmade soap, and covered it with the roving wool. I also too some advise and added it to an Etsy shop. It was a great project and fairly easy to do.
This is my Etsy shop.
Ahhh.... Thanks y'all.
It just really has been a sucky day and I just needed to blow off some steam and TT just seemed to be the place... So sorry to vent like I did.
I guess I will keep on keepin on and maybe in a month or two we will all be so busy we'll be
"panting like a horny toad on a hot rock!" tee hee .....
I flippin give up. My sales are horrible. I have tried bid4bears, my website, even ebay. Absolutely no luck.
A gal from another country gave me a bad feedback last month because of of custom costs or something, it was in another language. Do you think that this has hurt me?
If so, put a fork in me because I am done!!!
Thanks y'all! I really do hope that I will be breaking less needles soon! I dont know why, but when I do break one I let out a yell and then someone comes running to see what had happened.
It's so frustrating when they break.
When you have broken all 8 felting needles you have in the spane of 2 days! This is what I tried, and it works.
I took the broken tip and super glued it into the plastic end of my quilting pins.
It will do the trick for me untill I get to the hobby store to buy some more
Thanks Daphne! Great idea. Yes, the eyes are glass with the white of the eye and the outline is black is felt.
Hello,
I have been working on a needle felting project. It is a little "hip" chick. This is a pick from when I began working on her. I have her face completed excepct for her "eyelashes." Any ideas? Should I paint them on? Is it hard to paint on the wool?
Thanks
Thank you so much Bobbie, I took your advise and went to the drugstore and bought some epsom salts. It really does relieve the soreness!

WOW! You all have such great tips and ideas!! Thanks.
I defiantly would like to check out Judi's class All the added pics are great too
I went to the local Hobby Lobby and found some fiber and needles. I had a little head I had started a while back and did not like the muzzle so I took it and began to add the needlefelting to it. So far so good! Until I broke one needle and it sacred the living tar out of me and with the second needle, well I got a little carried away and it sliced my finger like a paper cut... grrrr I hate when that happens!
Anyway, thanks again for all the info and I will ads this little fella's picture when it is complete.
