CONGRATULATIONS   :bday:

Well Done Wonky Woo!!!
Not that anyone should be surprised - you make such wonderful individual gollies and like no-one else could. Your eye for delicious delightful naughtyness is evident in each Gollywoggle you make Wonks.
My two Gollywoggles are sitting on the Christmas tree again this year - which could be the reason the bulbs keep blowing on the lights and the chocolate reindeer are disappearing like they were becoming extinct due to global warming.
You deserve this Dilu and are the best contemporary Gollywoggle maker today. You capture the true spirit of the Gollywoggle.

Well, i would never have believed it but i just checked and apparently i have been here since May 12th 2005 - Blimey O'Reilly!!!!!!
I'm getting too too old ha ha ha
Penny
How excellent Tami!
My favourite is the gymnast - i feel like that most of the time lately, headless but running full speed ha ha ha
Thanks for these pics.
Penny
What a bunch of idiots Tiffany size should make no difference - if your daughter can play well enough that should be enough.
Teachers can be an odd bunch (not all of them, some are brilliant) but they do tend to get cliquey with some kids and their parents and their decisions are'nt always made on a fair basis.
I hope you get everything sorted out and that your daughter is'nt disheartened with all this nonsense - big hugs to her
Penny
Thanks Shelli i have written them and sent them off - hope they all arrive in time!

These are really lovely Clare........you've been a busy bee!
They will look lovely in bear pics Clare, are you going to use them for that too?
I bet your house is going to look wonderful this Christmas - it reminds me i need to buy some new decorations, mine are sooo old and i can never quite get all the dust off them from the previous years use ha ha ha i just hope they look 'vintage'
Beautiful work dear thing

I've just found the images I've wanted on Google and saved them to my computer. Those who want you to PAY for their images usually have a watermark across the image so you can't use it. There are some great FREE clip art sites out there too.
I don't think that by not having a watermark on an image it nesessarily means it is copyright free Daphne. A lot of girls here including myself don't add watermarks to the pics of our bears - it just gets in the way sometimes. You have to remember that the images are on Google because the search engine throws them up and not because individuals have posted them on the web as copyright free images. Just to be on the safe side Sandi buy some.....there are some great image discs available and they are pretty cheap - just buy one every now and again and you'll get a great library of images that you know are copyright free. Ebay always has some on offer. Many websites offer a download of a huge library of images for about $20 or similar. Have a look around.

What a damn shame Clare.............i have a couple of old Merrythought bears and they are lovely - i have to admit to not owning a modern Merrythought bear so i guess i am partly responsible for them going out of business. I always meant to buy a new one but just never got around to it.
How sad that another bit of British history has gone down the drain
Sad Now
I have to hold up my hands here Penny-it was me who left you the little message from G.Clooney.The temptation was just too great and I know you like to have a laugh - I hope your not too annoyed with me.

Thanks to G.Clooney for taking the time to leave a message for me - who would have thought GC was an avid lover of bears huh?
Penny

Ha Ha Ha - very funny - love it
What if it was from the real G.C?
Penny
Your design for the front page looks far far better than the one your web guy produced Bobbie.......go for it!
Ahhhhh HTML.............what a delight, what a joy to use, what a way to end up in the nuthouse  I still use good old 'notepad' for my html coding - i must drag myself into the 21st century ha ha ha - hate Dreamweaver, by the time i learned to use it i would be old and grey.........oh hang on a minute, i am!
Penny
ooooooh i thought this thread had disappeared - i am glad to see that it is still here. Where did it go?
I love all the pics and i would like to see a.............realistic artist bear

What do you think of Guestbooks on websites girls?
I have added one to my site if anyone would like to go sign it (and i guess to see if it works too ha ha) but i also wondered if you liked them or not.
I know that many of you have them on your own websites - do you ever get rude messages left? Do you think that visitors like to be able to comment on your bears or are they just a waste of time (the guestbooks not the visitors)?
If you should want to sign my guestbook that would be great and if there are any problems with it could you let me know? - i guess i would have to start all over again!
Thanks Duckies
Penny
Hi Bobbie,
I don't like any clutter on my intro page as i think it is important to make visitors want to go further - i have visited so many sites that have their page so full of stuff that i really can't be bothered to look as other pages.
I think, and this is just my opinion Bobbie, that your page is way too cluttered. The way i get around the search engine thing is to add a small portion of text describing the latest additions to my site - apparently search engines love new content, if you keep your page static the search engines get fed up with it and pass you over. You know, you are never going to be big on the search engines no matter how you try, there is simply too much on the web...............just do enough so that you do show up in searches Bobbie.
This is my 'front page' click here and it is as plain as i can get it but with enough graphic content to set the tone for the rest of the site.
If you are seriously not happy with your page as it is don't accept it - it's your site and it represents you Bobbie - get the guy to change it until you are happy with it.
Let us know how you get on
Penny
THE POLAR BEAR! Everyone loves a polar bear don't they, and this one of yours is just so sweet Krista - his face is very full of character. I love the other bear too.........he is very appealing but his features don't show as well as the polar bear.
Good Luck with whatever you decide Krista
Penny
Well here she is, all finished and a purrfect dancing queen
I am pretty pleased with her ears now - i used the second pair i made and have two pairs ready for other cats, that's if i can get the energy together to make them.
Thanks for all the comments and advice - i do take others opinions on board you know, it helps a lot to get second opinions.
Penny
HAPPY THANKSGIVING GIRLS & BOYS
I am thankful for... the fact that my butt is'nt yet dragging on the floor... i can still run upstairs without the need for oxygen... my cats use the litter trays... my postman thinks i work nights so is'nt disgusted that i open the door to him in my dressing gown at 2pm... my new knickers did'nt get dyed a nasty grey colour when i put them in with the coloured wash this morning... i have an electric blanket... my fridge defrosts itself... the paper boy has finally discovered that the morning paper goes though the letter box instead of on the doorstep... Christmas is coming... the house does'nt need redecorating yet... El Tel thinks i'm the bees knees even though i am a pain in the arse... my sons love me... my sons have left home... my sons now have thier own washing machines and know how to use them... the money i found down the back of the sofa is unclaimed so i spent it on booze... that hair i plucked out of my ear has'nt grown back... my grandson thinks i'm wonderful and kisses my ears... all the bills are paid and i did'nt have to pay 'em... i checked my boots before putting them on last Sunday as there was a big mother of a spider in them... El Tel is'nt scared of spiders... i can finally make cats... i have an absolutely bloody wonderful life and am a weirdo but know it and still don't give a hoot

I have made a slighly smaller pair of lugs for the kitty and have used a lighter inner ear colour too - i think that makes a difference.
Amelia - i think you may be right, they need tufts. here i go again, more ears!
Thanks for the comments girls - i actually think you are ALL right, the ears can either look too large or just right depending on what angle you you look at them. As i am a terrible photographer i have to bear this in mind for when i take her auction pics..............she could look just like a bat if i am not careful ha ha ha
Here's a close-up pic of her anyway, i do quite like her. I will continue to try out ears and post pics for your delectation and perusal. sorry, i think i ate a dictionary today.
Thanks for the gorgeous cat pics - i wuv them all
Penny
He is fabulous Kim - you can tell you are an artist, you have the 'eye'
I love all your stuff
Penny
HI girls - can i have some opinions on these cats ears? I have used a different method to make them and although the pic is'nt that great i think you will be able to see them OK. They look great from the back - very catty. It's the front that i am not sure about.
I prefer smaller ears for my cats but thought i would try some larger and more catlike ones out before making my decision...........i don't know if i like these or not, maybe i should save them for a bigger cat? This one is only 8 1/2" high.
help me out my dears
Penny
So, I had a dream last night.... I was at a christmas party and all these movie stars were there, looking just like they do in all the pictures you guys have posted in this thread! Pen Pen was there with a carving knife stabbing her way through them all to get to George. It was a bloody mess. Then I awoke to the alarm clock telling me to get up and put the turkey in the oven for Thanksgiving Dinner today! Wonder if the turkey will look like George or Johnny or maybe Mel!?!?!
Oh Yeah - that would be me Daff, there's no stopping this girl once the old knives are out!
Did i get him?
I am LOVING all the crumpet pics girls
Penny
