Oh Gemma   The pain of bear making!!    Is like Sarah said. After all we are bringing a bear to life!   My mom used to tell me that the seamstress that did not wore a thimble was not a good seamstress.....Well I never was able to used one them and I can't now!! If I put one on, I become all fingers and I just can't do it!! I guess that it will be the best thing to protect your poor fingers and there are many kinds now like some of you said. The way I do it, like many of you do, is with pliers. I have to try the rubber gloves

A question for the dye users......Is there a way to have to stir less?  Does somebody have a way to rinse less? I love to dye Mohair but,
I always end up having lots of pain in my wrist and shoulders for a day or more after I do just a couple of pieces!! Maybe there is no way around it but....I thought I ask just in case.

I check and it is no where to be found   I do not know why neither, it is frustrating. I have the hot mail address but, I do not use it much, if you think it will be fine to have other people addresses you can use that or, like you said , if somebody from TT that is getting E-mails from you could send them to me to see if they get to me. I had gotten E-mails from a few TT members and they did not have any problems...COMPUTERS!!!

Yes it is beautiful but, like you , I do not like cold weather anymore! This year here in S. California have been unusually cold and now they said it is going to be on the 80 on Sunday!! Crazy!! Look what happened in Florida, poor people. I am still waiting to hear from some friends. Hope and pray no members of TT or their families and friends have been affected by the Tornados and storms

It is amazing how different the colors can look! One of my challenge bears,  in one picture it loked gray ( that IS his color ) and in the other ..GREEN!! Funny

Hi you guys.
What an interesting topic this is!  Here is how I attach my Cernit OR Fimo ( clay like compound ) noses. I "cook" different sizes . This is the kind that you put in your regular oven. I attach them with a cotter pin that I bake in the nose and I do attach them like the arms and legs joints. I use a small disk to attach them that way it will not interfere with the shape and look of the muzzle.
Hope my pictures give you an idea.

Well.. Now you got me going!!                    I love your doll Shelli I already told you that. I keep on coming  and looking at her. She makes me smile. Yours is  great too Sheila! I hope and pray very soon you can make  more!  These are a couple of pictures of a soft sculpture grandma I made a "while" ago. Her hands have wire that way she can hold her needles.  Hope that you guys that are so good, like my old lady.
