Ohh Tami, I think I like your dream studio.. heehee. I would love one that has lots of windows, with a walk out screened porch so I can sit outside in the summer and not be annoyed by wasps or mosquitos. I would like one large enough to have my painting and drawing stuff out, my sculpting things. Like you I would like a stove and sink to dye fabric so I don't have to make a mess of everything else. A large cutting table... a BIG shelf where I can keep all my mohair out where I can see it (and stroke it and hug it 
:crackup: ). I would like part of the studio to display my collection... Oh and and place to work on my Doll house and miniatures. A big comfy chair so when people come to visit me they stay for more than 5 mins.. lol. A photo station that I can leave set up.
heehee, this is pretty funny really, I think we all have similar wants. I am happy with my current studio though! it is a million times better since we moved... it would be nice to have some windows though. 
Maybe I'll have to move upstairs after the 3rd floor is done

I do like selling through shops.. unfortunately the few shops that have stocked my bears over the years have closed. But it still gave me great new collectors.. and made me able to get my bears out to people who might never have seen them otherwise. Pricing is always an issue as the shop has to be able to make money.. usually 20-50% depending on the type of shop. They have rent and employees to pay and you have to factor that in to.. Most shops are very good at promoting your work. The shop keepers will tell collectors all about you and get your name out there. Just make sure they pay for the bears up-front. I have done consignments and unless you can go and check on them every few days, it's not a good idea... and getting the money for bears after they are sold can sometimes be a pain.... never mind when one goes "missing" lol.
You kind of have to factor that you will not make as much off the bears when you are selling to a shop... but then they do all the "work" of selling. Just depends what you are willing to make off your work. It is never easy!

I really don't know why we live here when it gets this cold.. lol. Brad drove me to work today, which I was not going to complain about because I really didn't want to drive.. and he has heated seats!

I hear ya Cheryl... for lack of a better term this sucks! My Parents said the roads are horrible.. I am not looking forward to the drive to work in the morning.. my 4wd is giving me problems too... bllaahhh. Keep warm!!!

Yummmm, new mohair is always so much fun! I have not ordered in ages.. I have enough mohair to last me 5 years at the rate I am going! Doesn't stop me from filling a shopping cart full of yummy mohairs I would like to have and having a little dream heehee. Yay for mohair!

*kicks Jane in Butt* heehee. I don't know, what I always do before a show is pick 5 or 6 things that I know I can get done without a great amount of stress.. Work on those then, if I manage to get those done.. I will start something else. It's too easy to get overwhelmed before a show.
I agree though, take a day off and start fresh that sometimes helps
