Beautiful, but i'm one of those going 'so what?' We have 14 inches (35 cm) of snow and tonight we expect minus 20-25 C (whatever that's in Fahrenheit), which is really cold and not common in Stockholm.
Stay warm everybody.
Congratulations! Well deserved Sophie.
Welcome Kerrie! I can't open your website either and I tried Netscape and Camino in addition to those that Sophie tried.
Yeeeeaaahh! Go Peter go!
I'm so relieved to read this.
Kassie hang in there. I had a dwarf rabbit for ten years and understand what you feel. They are such lovely creatures. Mine hardly drank any water at all though. She had an upside down water bottle for rabbits on her cage and and a bowl in the room where she was allowed to run, but I rarely noticed a decrease and almost never saw her drink. Rabbits get much of their moisture from fresh food such as carrots, carrot leaves, apples, potatoes, parsley, hazel leaves (no salad though!). She also loved raisins. Not much water in those, but lots of energy. Maybe you can tempt Peter with some of these delicacies?
I'm thinking of you both. Please, keep us updated.
Aw Sandy, I'm so sorry.
I hoped Magic would survive. It is so hard to lose a pet. Very big huge hugs to you
We just agreed to ship next Monday as we both find it hard to part with our darlings
I'm so excited and nervous. Will she like my bear?
Looking forward to seeing everybody's bears.
Bear hugs
Poor Holly! I am so sorry Jane. I hope she will recover quickly.
He looks like a William to me, no idea why. Gorgeous bear Judi.
Awwww, Jamie that is an adorable bear. I love her innocent face and the cute tootsies.
Welcome to TT!
Yeeaaah! Matilda, you know I love your critters. I am the proud owner of two of them no less ('roo with baby) so I know what I'm talking about. Do show the magazine article when you get it.
Paula, did you check Christie Bears? They have a few pinks http://www.christiebears.co.uk/acatalog/Ultrasuede.html
Bear Country has beige pink and salmon http://www.bearcountryuk.com/index.php/ … /2a/page/3
I guess you knew that, but thought I'd tell you just in case.
Welcome home Shari! We worried about you. Get well soon.
Matilda, I am happy that you still love your little Sammy. It is good to know my darling has found a loving home. Wanda and her baby say hi!
Thank you my friends. I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy inside now.
Thank you everybody for the encouraging words.
What looks like snow is actually white lichen (the kind we put on grave decorations also called white 'moss'), but it works so well.
I think you may have to delete the cache in your web browser to see new avatars. I had to. Didn't think about that, so I am inserting it here for all to see.
Deborah, he is gorgeous. A little sad and bedroom eyes, but so beautiful. The George C. of bears
Shyly I present my new avatar. With more and more pretty avatars popping up I finally mustered the courage to tinker with some of my photos and Photoshop. I am rather pleased. Blue is my favourite colour and I wanted to convey the image of an arctic country.
Do you still recognize me?
Laraine, we haven't met. Glad you joined us. Fabulous bears and I love the hats.
Kim, I think he is my favourite of yours so far. Oh wait, maybe your avatar bear is my favourite. Can't decide, both are gorgeous.
Did you thread joint the head? Or did you find a way of using a cotter pin and discs?
Thank you guys. So nice of you to take the time and comment on my pig.
I have my first teddy, stuffed away though. He is a sleeping bear lying on his belly and his back is all bear, rubbed off by my baby hands. This reminds me, I should take him out now that I have a teddy bear habit.
Bronwen - your bear has become an heirloom, it went from mother to daughter. That's lovely. I got my mother's first bear too. He is all soft and collapsing now, because his wood wool filling has crumbled and turned to sawdust. She doesn't want him back, but then she has my old dolls.
You asked for it Jeannie. Here's the piggie tail. Not the most flattering pics though.
Awww, thank you everybody. It feels so good to get some compliments from friends.
Dilu - this was pearl cotton size 12, which is quite thin. Its what I had, but I don't like to work smaller than this, so I ended up making very many stitches She wasn't hard otherwise, just a lot of work. Its a struggle each time though to make them anime. My hands and eyes always want to make more 'appropriate' proportions.
Sheila - shhhh, don't use that term I love your avatar bear and I had a quick look at your website. Adorable bears, both the sewn and crochet ones. So you did that seahorse carousel piece that I have seen on the auction parade site.
Hugs to everyone.
