Could someone please tell me what you use to "wire' the arms of mini bears(say 4-6 inches) Do you fasten the wire to your joint in some way?I know that you stuff less but I need to know what wire works best and how to attach.I'm making two little bears and I want them to be able to "hug" and cuddle.Thanks so much for your help and advice.

Well,I don't know if I was a trouble maker,I tried to be the best behaved child,I was the dreamer,couldn't follow the directions because I didn't hear them or understand them yes poor Shari was not too bright

I actually have had two of my kids tested for ADD/ADHD and yes we have it but we do not take the meds,we learn to cope.The doctor testing actually pointed out that I have "the problem" and asked how I managed to get through school and then get through Teachers College and go on to get my B.ed. I don't know,it wasn't easy I said but I learned to cope(even though I just always thought I was stupid)
  So I guess Dilu the point is that we creative people are blessed in some areas and lacking in others(like following directions because I can't stay with it long enough to finish reading so I make up my own method) but yes,I love to look at the pictures and eventually my brain will tell me how to do it.

  Funny you posted this Dilu,I have been debating on either getting therapy or medication to help me concentrate and get more done,I seem to be getting worse instead of better.

Well ,now that I've ripped open my heart and shown some of my deepest darkest secrets,my head hurts and I think I'll go throw-up.

Thanks Dilu I have tried and had read up on Shelli's post but did not have as nice a result as you have.I didn't know about the sharpie pen.What about enamel paint for glass and ceramic?You bake it in the oven to seal it after.

Irene,I noticed on another thread that you make soft sculpture dolls so I browsed your sight.They are wonderful.I started making cloth dolls the same time as bears but I spent more time on bears and don't have any cloth dolls to show right now.I was very excited when I saw your posting about the book.I just bought the book this past week,I love your doll. I am inspired to work on my dolls again.

Hayley,the mouth is not applied ,it's a slit.
Clare,Nancy Tillberg has info in her latest book and I also bought a few open mouth patterns.Then I played around with my own patterns until I found something that worked.
Eileen,I work for a fabric store that imports some fancy faux furs but I'm not sure where they come from.
