Oh Veronica she is wonderful, your artistry in her face is superb!!!...I love cloth dolls and used to make a lot of them before being bitten by the bear bug....
Chris I do the same and because I don't look too far ahead I keep forgetting also.... Oh well I guess we will see....
Thank you everyone...you have restored my confidence in my bears...The lady in question is undecided so she has printed out the photos and hung them on her wall in an effort to make up her mind....
You have done a great job on Dougie!! I love him!!!
Jodi those are great.....My husband has a large collection on old postcards as well, they are wonderful and creative!!!
I had an email from a lady who wanted a bear with a ballet theme for her nieces 18th birthday.....I came up with one, then hubby said she was too skinny
(what would he know???) so I came up with a second bear and sent photos of both, I am waiting to hear back, as this is my first commission I am a little nervous that she won't like either.....
Hi Wendy
I think that all the tips given are great...but your main problem may be the timing....daylight at midday throws a lot of shadow down on to your critters eyes and makes it hard to get a good shot. The best times for photos are early morning (when I take mine) or late afternoon, that way the light is softer and you don't get so many shadows, also take your shots out of the direct sunlight. If you have to take you photos at other times I find a white sheet stretched over the clothesline makes a good light tent that helps block those annoying shadows. Hope this helps
Yep Shelli I would go at least $50.00......You don't want to undersell your work!!!
That's what I did Wendy...I bit the bullet and contacted the magazines by email, then sent in photos....if you send an email first you will get some idea of what they are looking for and how to do your photos.......It's a real thrill seeing your bears in print!!!
Jodi I am sorry to hear about your grandmothers house.....It is really sad that they have to tear down such a sweet house in the name of progress!!
I don't have any advice about the type of camera to buy but when you go along to buy it take one of your bears and get the salesperson to photograph it and put it on to a computer so you can have a look at the clarity.......If you are spending the money to buy a good camera they should be willing to help with this....Good luck shopping.
Sometimes if you google reviews you can find out some good information too....
Best of luck Bobbie....You just can't please some people. I think you are doing the right thing by trying to preserve your feedback but if she does end up leaving you a neg......Don't worry about it all your other positive transactions should offset that!!!
It's great Christine!!!
OMG she is beautiful....You are so talented that base just sets her off perfectly!!!
Awww Shelli, I wouldn't recognise anyone from their email address or their last name either, I don't envy you having to try and get it all sorted out. This type of computer problem is a kind of torture to me!!!
Good luck with getting it sorted...
    It didn"t worry me Sheeli I thought something like that may have happened......You poor thing, what a nightmare...
They have selected 'highlight' as one of their auction options when listing their auction....
Just wanted to say good luck everyone listing on Bid 4 Bears tomorrow....I hope it all goes wonderfully well!!!
Oh Dear Sandra...It does make it much harder when the boys are well intentioned...good luck with it all!!!
Well done Wendy...I just popped in to have a look at Harlequin...he is adorable!!!
Well I have made 33 (I think) + 2 not completed yet.....Like Gemma since January 2007.
I have the same issues with children and internet forums!!!
I am NOT pregnant...but just wanted to wish the very best of luck to all that are and especially to those of you who are trying!!!
Sandra what a terrible situation for your daughter to be in.....I know these boys don't mean any harm but thay must be taught appropriate behaviour even at such a young age. I think all the ideas put forward are good ones, especially the whistle and the self defence. If the principal hasn't been involved up until now then he/she must be bought in to the picture and if they have already been involved then perhaps it's time to go higher and involve the education department. It's amazing how many creative solutions a principal can come up with once the threat of going to the education department has been aired.
I think these boys should be removed from the playground until they can display more appropriate behaviour....is there a playground monitor that your daughter can play near or go to as soon as this starts instead of retreating to the toilets?
It sounds terrible but sometimes getting your husband involved and him going up to the school is often more affective (we tend to be tagged as hysterical or over re-acting) My son was being bullied a couple of years ago and until my husband got involved it just wasn't taken seriously....They can crack down on this behaviour but it sounds like all the teachers are taking the 'soft' options at the moment and not wanting to punish these boys as 'they mean no harm'
And unfortunately I think Sue Ann is correct, if a resolution can't be found quickly perhaps another school is in order?
Thanks Audemesange!!
Jodi he is not at all poopie!!! He is really sweet, Ebay is really quiet at the moment I think people are taking a break from spending. Dilu is right the right person hasn't seen him yet!!!
