I have done a stitched nose on real fur Jane and it seems fine but it was really difficult to sew!!!  bear_wacko   I think all the multiple stitches are held in the stuffing so you probably don't have to worry about it falling off!!

sarahjane

Hi Marlys I'm not Shelli but I will try to explain what I do....

When I poke the holes with the awl I try to sort of spread the fibres apart rather that split them so that they can be pushed back together if needed once the cord is through, I am one who actually sews the cording through the head with an 8 inch needle (using pliers for leveredge!!!) as I had your problem where I had trouble getting the cording to go into the head and sit nicely. I use polyfill for stuffing too so that shouldn't be a problem.

The eyes are just your normal glass eyes (as far as I know) which are set as normal before doing your eyelids. Just use a bigger size than you would usually.  bear_original

I hope this helps!!

Krista I can't help with the intermittent auctions....I have had that problem too ..most frustrating!!! All I can offer is that it seems to come right eventually....

The other is easier, with the new sell your item form you have to go to 'show/hide options' (up on the top right hand side. Then go to 'format'   in there you should find a box to check with  'show scheduled listings' or something like that......I can't understand why they don't just have them all showing in the first place!!  :/

I can only see one of your auctions also!!  bear_shocked

Thank you so much Erin...during the week wen the kids are at school and I have more time I'll send you the diagram I drew.. bear_ermm   It would be great to know how to scale things up and down etc!!

sarahjane

Thanks Erin...I might take you up on that. I want my pattern to look pretty professional when I send it in to this magazine and I would only need the diagram done once then I could use it whenever I needed it!!  bear_original

I will send you an email in the next day or two...

sarahjane

Krista does the mohair have to be made up of 2 full fat 1/8th or could it be 4 fat 1/16ths??

sarahjane

Sophie good luck with your show!! I hope you do very well!!!

sarahjane

Heather congratulations for getting this up and running and good luck I hope it is an outstanding success!!!

sarahjane

Oh Catherine...Congratulations!!!

Jane I'm not sure what others do but I cut out a template from card or plastic then trace around this with a fine tipped black marker (pen) then scan them into the computer and use photoshop to add all the writing. Sometimes it helps to photocopy them before you scan them but if you are careful with the tracing it seems to look ok.

sarahjane

Carolyn, Cheryl and Shelli your cards all arrived today...thank you so much  bear_original

sarahjane

How did I miss this????

What wonderful news, such a relief for you and your family I hope everything goes fantastically well from here!!!
