Thanks Shelli. Thanks Dilu.. i hope my aunt likes it when she opens it up on xmas day. she collects bears.. Steiif bears.. and only the white button eared ones.. the limited editions.. so im gonna have to make this girl special !!

I'm going to get a nice glittery box and nestle her inside with some white tissue paper and hopefully when she opens it on xmas day the bear will be siting the way i put her and not all messed up lol, i will have to tell her not to shake the box.. whenever we give her a xmas present she will say "has it got 4 paws?" and shake the box hehehe

or bear face painting 
paint faces on the children as bears using face paints of course he he

what about a general knowledge quiz ?? they could work in pairs and whoever gets the most correct wins a prize ? a sweeties goodie bag or something

:hug: Aww Daphne soo sorry to hear abotu your hand. the time will fly by quickly. dont make it worse by starting sewing too soon, i know all too well how you feel, i am waiting to see a wrist consultant about my wrist. I've been to so many different Dr's over this last year and still have no treatment for it, they told me my ulnar is out of alignments in my wrist (i have a hard lump on the side of my wrist you can see & feel. which is actually the bone) aswell as ligament sprains in the wrist so i know how frustratig it is not being able to sew,i go through times where i cant pick up my needle and go weeks and weeks without sewing a thing it is MOSt annoying and it makes me feel so hopeless because sometiems i cant even lift a dinner plate with that arm it sure doe sget you down at times !!

BIG HUGS, i hope you recover real soon hang in there and use these few weeks to relax and just enjoy something else (is there anything else to enjoy but bears? hehe)  :hug:

Danni i just went through my Nov issue of Teddy Bear Club International and can't see anything in there (i might've missed it tho but i had a good look).. i was really dissspointed with this months issue of TBCI.. it didn't seem to be it's usual cheery self this issue.

Danni i just got my copy of TBCI  (The november issue) is that the one your bears are in ? hang on lemmie go look

oh gosh i cant really think of anything apart from maybe printing out some black outlines of bears and letting the younger ones colour them in..

sorry it's not much help my brain has gone BLANK !

Thanks everyone for the input. i always have trouble picking matching colours that suit best, I've already embroidered the footpad altho i haven't stitched it in, I don't think she will mind having a christmas bear all year round though, i made her a miniature last year which wears a santa hat, i do hope she likes it, She really wanted this other white bear of mine (who wears a blue velvet winter coat) but i cant part with her so i thought i would make one similar, she's gonna be about 12 inches tall. hold on.. let me try take a pic of the footpad...
it's actually a more off white than pure white and the colour of it matches the colour of the back of the fur, it will look really nice when it's done i think !

here's a pic. it's not that great on the photo it looks ALOt better for real an the colour isn't as white as that, when the bear is finished i will get a proper photo of her all complete and it will give yo an overall better look of it, my camera is useless indoors honesty LOL

Eileen - 3:30am ? LOL i thought i was bad staying up till after 1am.. me and a couple of friends stayed up all night once. didnt bother going to bed playing this online game

i saw one mother on supernanny who sat and watched tv all day and her little boy  was always  trying to get her attention and she told him off constantly for getting in the way of the Tv.. thats quite bad, if a tv comes before your child...

now if it wa a computer that'd be a different story...   (just kidding)

i watch Supernnany and i've also seen Nanny911.. i know what you mean about the kids, we were never behaved like that when we were kids. they do say tho all these additives kids eat in food make them hyperactive 

I have deb LOL I've cut 1 foot pad out and emboirdered it with holly & berries. i tried to take a pic but it came out overexposed. it's 1am almost here so i need properlight, will try again in the morning with daylight

Stone me ! i just embroidered the holly leaf and it looks pretty amazing even if i do say so myself hehehe i had to go freehand because my outline was making me go in the wrong shape funnily enough lol i will post a pic of this footpad when ive done the berries
