Hi Sheila,
If you use a good spot on treatment (ie. Advantage, Frontline etc...), usually given monthly you should avoid having fleas.
I used to breed Himalayans they are a wonderful breed,  they are very affectionate and have great personalities!  :love:

I have recently started using Gerry's Premium Polyester Stuffing http://www.gerrys.com.au/product.php?pr … 1&featured on my 5, 7 and 12 inch bears and have been really happy with the results, it's not springy like normal polyester.

I find that most of my bears are free-standing. Their joints are placed low in the body towards the centre and to need be quite firm so they can hold their position, the legs will also need to be reasonably short to support the weight.

This is my latest creation - Simba . My mum fell in love with this little guy so I gave him to her as a belated Birthday Gift   We decided to name him after a beautiful dog who passed away last week.
He is made from a beige Alpaca, Ultrasuede, 5-way cotter pin joints, needle sculpted face, wired tail, embroidered and waxed nose, shading and is stuffed with polyester and glass beads and stands aprox 7 inches.

My dream creation for this year is a realistic style American Black Bear. But to add to my collection I would love any of the following...
  *One of Judi's Big cats
  * A Kelly Dean Bear
  *A Thimblebeary Bear
  * And a Rabbit by Mary Wimberly
