Chrissie, I'm so sorry about your grandfather. I hope you have a wonderful holiday as I'm sure your grandfather is wishing you the same.

Sandi.S.

Ooh, Kathy, she is adorable. What a sweet surprise she must've been after your meeting!

Sandi.S.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday with your family! Have a safe trip and enjoy!!

Sandi.S.

Glad to hear you had a good time at the party!

And I say, anyone that's receiving one of your bears as a gift won't mind receiving it a little late!

Sandi.S.

Amen to that! I can relate with a lot of those wishes, and yet, I would trade it all in to keep my daughter young and innocent for just a couple extra years! She's only going on 3, but I do so love this age. She's old enough to talk to and understand, yet young enough to be so sweet and cuddly. I've made her promise to snuggle with me and sit on my lap even when she turns into a big girl! She's agreed, I just hope she won't change her mind!

Sandi.S.

Jane, truly wonderful and exciting news! Congrats to Sarah!

Sandi.S.

Oops...I haven't been on as much lately and it's hard trying to catch up! I just found him and I think he's wonderful! I'm sure she will love him!

Sandi.S.

Great job, Estelle! He's wonderful! I'm sure his new owner will love him!

Sandi.S.

My fiancee is from Poland and he wants a replica of the fabulous dinners his grandmother used to make. HA! I think I'll have to start the drinking at 8:00 a.m. so by the time dinner is finished, I won't give a crap if I've ruined it all!

Sandi.S.

I'm sure crossed fingers aren't necessary! When do we get to see him?  bear_grin  hehe

Sandi.S.

Hee Hee...I was just thinking the same thing. On top of all the Christmas stuff going on, I need to clean my house for an appraiser to come in a couple days. No time for that, but plenty of time for this! I hope your sewing in between typing!  bear_grin

Sandi.S.

And I thought I was doing good until last night. Usually we go to my fiancee's house for Christmas Eve and my mom's for Christmas Day. Well, we can't make the trip to his folks this year. Last night he informed me that I have to make a dinner Christmas Eve. And there have to be 12 dishes, and he's choosing them. He's from Europe and wants his traditional Christmas Eve dinner. So...I have a few days to learn how to cook dishes I cannot even pronounce!

Sandi.S.

I know what you mean, Helena. Just when you think you're doing good, all those little things surface and can really add up! Is there anyone who can watch your daughter while you do the "secret" stuff? My daughter isn't in school yet so I had to send her to Grandma's house so I could do my "secret" stuff. I was trying to do a little at a time after she went to bed, but by the time I got things out and managed to wrap two presents...I was ready for bed!!

Sandi.S.

Oh, Deb, good luck tonight with your bear. I hope he gets done without staying up too late! I have no idea if it's do-able since I don't make those kind of bears yet...but for me, I work great under pressure. I am terrible about leaving things til the last minute; that's how I work...but it always gets done!

Sandi.S.

Jane, thank you so much for sharing the photos of the Christmas party! They are really great! Unfortunately, I couldn't be at the party either. Hopefully I'll be able to join in the fun next year. Looks like everyone had a fabulous time!

Sandi.S.

This year will be a little different. We usually drive 4 hours to Chicago to be with my fiancee's parents on Christmas Eve and then back home on Christmas day. But we can't make it this year and they can't make it down here either.  bear_sad  So, we'll stay home on Christmas Eve with our daughter. Hmm, I wonder if I'm expected to make a huge meal as Christmas Eve is the "big day" in my fiancee's traditions. Anyway, my daughter will open presents from Mommy & Daddy; and Daniel and I will exchange our gifts. Then on Christmas morning, my daughter will open presents from Santa. In the early afternoon we'll head over to my parents' house. All of my brothers and sisters and their families will be there. We'll have an early dinner, then more gift opening! In the evening the kids will be playing with all their new toys and destroying grandma's house! While they're busy, the adults usually play cards...which means the men usually drink too much and the women end up driving home!

We always have a big party at my aunt's house too. It was just this past Saturday. It's pretty big with all of my mom's family. She has eight brothers & sisters and they all have lots of kids and now those kids are starting families. There must've been a good 40-50 people there!

Sandi.S.

Clare, you lucky girl! What an wonderful, beautiful bear! She's awesome, Aleta!!

Sandi.S.

Thank you so much for the warm wishes! Happy Holidays to all of you as well!  bear_wub

Sandi.S.

I always wait til the last seconds to bid on something. I've gotten very good at it so I usually win! I've never tried Penny's idea though. When I first started sniping my fiancee helped me. In the early days I even used a stop watch to track my timing. I don't have to use it anymore though...hee hee.  Also, have you noticed when you refresh the page the counter doesn't change. So towards the end of an auction check the counter and when you refresh the page and the counter does change...you know you've got company there waiting for those last seconds!

Sandi.S.

BRAVO, DILU!!!

Sandi.S.

What a great idea, Kim! Thanks for all the hard work in putting this together!  bear_thumb

Although, probably not exactly the work you're supposed to be doing right now!  bear_whistle

Sandi.S.

Scott's bear is beautiful. I hope his auction goes well.

Sandi.S.

Wow, Danni, you have been very busy! The website looks great!

Sandi.S.

Well, Deb, I'm sorry I don't have any original ideas for you. I went through this same thing recently. I wanted to get a website which meant I needed a name! I brainstormed (HA!) for about a week or so when I finally came up with it. It kinda just popped into my head when I wasn't really thinking about it. I had even asked my fiancee for help...yeah, that was pretty funny!

I really like Shelli's idea...The Bear Smith

Good luck!

Shantell...I really like Apple Dumpling Bears!

Sandi.S.

Your hubby sounds so cute and sweet, Dilu! I love your stories! You have everyone here just as excited about your surprise as you are! Hint, hint...someone please tell me!
