Tammy, the tree looks fabulous! I can't wait to see it completely decorated.
Hey, that looks like my cat's rear end!

Oh, Krista, how awful. Just a few weeks ago we lost our power for 8 days! And I'll tell you it really sucked seeing all the neighbors with lights on! We were literally the last house in our town to get their power restored. The insurance adjustor finally came today to assess all the damages and give us a check. We were able to claim all the food in the fridge as well. I'm glad you're back and all is well!
I received my secret swap ornament on Saturday. I was like a little kid ripping into the box. My daughter, of course, had to help and was just as excited as I was! Here's the ornament I received from Lynn. It is absolutely beautiful and the red accents work wonderfully with my tree! Thank you so much, Lynn!
I have also sent out my ornament. I'm sorry it was a little on the late side, but it should still be received before Christmas. They said only 2-3 days.
Yep, that one looks familiar. I'm sorry this happened to you, Jared.
I honestly just can't wait for the ultrasound!
Aren't they just amazing? It seems to make it "real." I've actually had 2 ultrasounds already! The first one was "in-house" by my doctor. She seemed to think I was further along than what I was. (I knew I wasn't.) Then the regular one at the imaging center at 20 weeks. I think 20 weeks is about average for most doctors to schedule them, so only about 8 more weeks for you!
Sounds fun! I'll try to make it if Daniel isn't hogging the computer!
10 hours with 4 girls? I must say, I don't envy you! Best wishes, Bronwen, for a safe and fun trip!
Kerren, they are beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing a pic with us.
I can't wait to take my daughter to see Mimzy! You must be over the moon right now, Daphne! I can only imagine how excited you must be. Huge congratulations, we're so proud of you!
I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling the best, but most of those symptoms usually fade after 3 months. I never felt any nausea, but I had heartburn on a daily basis and was very tired for the first trimester. At 5 months now, I feel GREAT! Well, besides getting fat!
YAY! Congratulations, Kimberly, to you and your family! Best wishes that you'll have an easy pregnancy and of course a beautiful, healthy baby!
I got my first card today! Thank you, Patty!
Mine will be going out tomorrow. I wasn't able to get my list until this past Saturday as my power was out so long. I do hope everyone will receive them in time for Christmas.
Thanks, Shelli, for organizing this for us!
Oh, wow! Roxanne, they look fabulous and yummy! Good luck in the competition!
Congratulations, Marion, on becoming a grandmother. You must be thrilled! I hope you'll share pics of all the cute things you make!
YAY, Gemma! Congratulations on both wins! I'm glad to hear you had such a fantastic day.
My first post was Nov. 3, 2005. Wow, over a year now. I'm truly glad I found this place and have gotten to know all the wonderful people here. This is the first thing I do as soon as I get Daniel out the door and off to work!
Pam, I'm sorry to hear about your tree loss. It's terribly sad, isn't it? We'll probably cut down our tree as there's not much left. I imagine I'd be a lot sadder if they were fruit trees. I'm glad to hear you're safe and warm now.
Michelle, I can't blame you for worrying about your parents safety down there. I'm thankful most of my family is very close to me...very easy to keep tabs on them.
Oh, Sandra, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how hard this must be for your family.  I'll keep you in my prayers.
We fortunately do have a gas hot water heater so I was able to take hot showers. Before we had the furnace going, I had my daughter sit and play in the bathroom while I was taking a shower so she could warm up a little.
Wow, all of the ornaments are so pretty! This was a truly wonderful idea, Tami! Thank you!
I hope the person awaiting an ornament from me can be patient just a bit longer! This past week has been pretty hectic and I wasn't able to work on it as much as I would have liked. The good news is that it doesn't have to leave the US so it should be no problem getting it there before Christmas!
 Please forgive me, secret swap person!
I truly did feel like we were living in the dark ages! And dark comes so early now, about 5:00 p.m. I think the most frustrating part was seeing all our neighbors lights on! We were the only ones on our block to lose power. I think there were a total of 4,500 in our town. We were literally the last house in town to get power back on! It was a real treat to go to Walmart or dine in at a fast food joint!
Our losses will be covered by the insurance, but since the rest of the damages aren't crucial we have to wait for the adjustor to come. She can't get here til the 18th because they are so swamped.
Wanda, I'm sorry your daughter had to go through this too. I'm happy they found a vacant room and how nice for the kids to be able to swim in the wintertime!
What a great achievement for Noah and such a wonderful day for all of you! And so nice for Noah to be able to share it with both parents. I personally know how important that is for a kid.
Way to go, Noah, and you too, Shelli, for breeding such a smart little guy!
Wonderful news, Gemma! How excited you must be! Congrats!
