I'm torn!
In the past I attended shows where it was best to have the option of a credit card payment, I originally started my dolls/teddy bear sharing on eBay and was one of the first ebayers to offering PayPal. I had my concerns at first with Paypal due to it being a new payment process, but do I like it now. Due to circumstances, I have not been able to share my creations at shows over the past few years. I have the desire but did not have the time to get to shows. Long story short, I have long ago met my obligation of the contract for credit card service, yet am paying monthly fees until I send the equipment back or get back to sharing at shows. The question is would you continue to hang on to the equipment or are other options available?
It has been awhile since I've posted on teddy talk and have missed the chat.
Rose Bear Cottage Creation by Debbie
It's been a ruff few days here in the San Bernardino Mountains, but better tonight without the winds. I have stayed with many others that work with the school district here on the mountain to help with emergency efforts. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the communties in Southern California effected by these disasters.
Your creation well deserve such an honor.
OOOOOccchhh!
Great site Denise. ((((Hugs)))) Debbie
Mine went out this morning also. Thanks Samantha.
I agree with your comments. Even if I haven't made what I believe should have been the lowest acceptable dollar, I fell so good knowing someone is very happy to collect one of my creations. It all balances out in the end.
He's wonderful Denise. ![]()
TT has been encouraging and inspiring for myself also. My post may not be often, but I come here regularly to get a boost. ![]()
O.K. Jennifer, this post was what I needed.   I have been in a slump creative wise for a few years now, or should I say five or six years. Just when I think I have the time.....    I get a few bears created to list and bam!!! My day job takes all my energy away. When I began creating bears it was my full-time passion. eBay was my first avenue of showing my creations with excellent results and many collectors and shows were fantastic....then came the unexpected life changes.
Needless to say full-time work other then my passion of teddy creating took first place and has been ever since. I have had a real hard time lately with brain fry after a long day of my day job being able to create. (I'm on call 24/7) Thank you for your post. Many of us are in the same uncreative mood due to lack of time with such busy schedules to juggle. It's great to encourge one another.
Wally will be missed very much by many. In the past years participating in Linda's show's, Wally was always by her side and offering welcome to us all. Linda's bear love began by Wally giving her a wonderful teddy as an anniversary gift years ago.
Debbie, I am so sorry to here about your Broody Broomhilde. When my children wer young they both had red hens from chicks. They make the most wonderful pets. My daughter was only three and she would get her hen to lay the eggs in her hand. She thought that was the greatest.
Oh my. I laughed so hard I'm crying.
Oh Sonya, they are adorable.
So Sweet!
How wonderful Sonya.
I in the past always listed on Monday evening with a three day auction. I recall a few who were working that would bid due to no internet access at home. Clare, I'm with you on the tourist. Our town gets very busy and I'm always thinking about traffic if I do go somewhere on a holiday weekend. I try to aviod it and stay home. Michelle, eBay is a fickle thing. You never know. I am going to try my next auction to end during the week. It's not that I haven't had success to auctions ending Sunday evening, it just seems that I have had more interest.
I've often wondered if listing auctions to end on a holiday weekend is a good idea or not. With so many busy traveling or preparing for family gatherings it would seem many do not find the time to review auctions. What are your takes on listing an auction to end on a holiday weekend?
Sounds tasty Jodi.
You never know with shows. I have sold out on shows that are known not to be much. And then the next time around sell only a few.
Sounds like a blast.
I'm going to see what I am able arrange to get to Vegas.
Tami it sound wonderful. I'm adding the recipe to my colllection. Thank you.
It took hours for my listing to index two weeks ago. The relisting this last weekend was a bit faster. I didn't realize until I read another post that the old form was still available.
