Shelli -
Well, I don't laugh at PC users...but I do love my mac! It was sooo easy to learn. I do also use a PC, mostly just when I'm on the net, but I'm trying to get more acquainted with it. As a former designer myself, I do prefer my Mac for design applications.

Sandi.S.

Jenn, I hope you've found something useful here!

Sandi.S.

I haven't had any eyes pop off yet. I guess if you have 20 pairs, it wouldn't hurt to give it another go!

Sandi.S.

I checked out the global express mail. I was just curious about what it would've cost me. They have package restrictions though. I think it said a minimum 9" high and 12" wide. That'd be an awful big box for a 3" bear.  bear_grin

Sandi.S.

Oh, that's too bad Kirsten. I always drink a big 'ol glass of milk first thing in the morning, but after I got pregnant I got the most horrible stomach pains if I drank it before any food. Even three years later, I still have trouble with it. Darn kids!

Sandi.S.

Hmmm...just trying to figure what I used to eat when I was a vegetarian. No meat, no chocolate????  bear_grin

Sandi.S.

It doesn't offend me at all. We're all entitled to our own opinions and if it is something very dear to your heart, by all means express it!

I'm in the same boat as Helena. I was a vegetarian for 5 years. Never once craved it, til I was pregnant. About 3 months in, I started craving it which led me to stealing my fiancee's chicken sandwich at lunch!

Sandi.S.

Thanks for the input, girls! I didn't make her pay the difference, because I had already given her the quote. My fault. When I checked on USPS for cost though it didn't say I couldn't purchase the insurance with the Air Letter Mail. After I selected this shipping option it actually gave me some options that I could add on, and insurance was on the list! Well, now I know better!

Kathy-your tins are a great idea for the small bears! May I ask where you get the tins?  bear_wub

Sandi.S.

The last bear I sold went to Australia. I have a scale at home so I weighed him and checked USPS website for shipping cost. I charged the lady $6.20 for Airmail Letter Post. Only supposed to take 4-7 days. Well, when I went to the post office, they wouldn't let me ship him that way because I wanted insurance. In order to get insurance I had to send him Airmail Parcel Post which takes 4-10 days and wound up costing over $14, not including insurance. With insurance it was $18.10. Does anyone use UPS or Fedex? Any better choices out there?

Sandi.S.

I made a brownie bottom cheesecake once. Everyone else loved it, but I just stuck with the plain one.

Okay, I do like chocolate ice cream. Actually I really like that. And if I make choc. chip cookies I can eat one. My fiancee loves chocolate. He's always making me try stuff.  He's from Europe so he doesn't like hersheys and things here in US, but whenever his mom comes she brings a whole grocery bag full of chocolate bars and candies and cookies. He'll eat that stuff for breakfast. But I don't like any of the "good chocolate" (as he calls it) either.

I don't know what's wrong with me.  bear_sad

Sandi.S.

Kathy, I have some eyes with straight wires. I use round nose pliers to form a loop out of the straight wire. I roll it around a couple times. Crimp the loop, thread, stick the needle in the head.

Sandi.S.

bear_laugh I'm still laughing

My butt won't get up to do anything...my house is a mess, I need to go to the bank, grocery store...etc

Is that also cake glue?

Please say yes, so I can tell fiancee it's not my fault. He's the one who asks me to make the cakes and cookies and brownies.

Sandi.S.

mmmm...cheesecake!
This is my all-time favorite. And my fiancee's. In fact, he just asked me yesterday to make one. Except I was too lazy to go to the store for missing ingredients.

I have something to tell you all but I'm scared.  bear_cry I so enjoy this forum but I think you all might decide to kick me out if I tell.  :(

Okay, here goes (me being brave right now)...

I don't like chocolate.

Sandi.S.

Woohoo! I didn't screw it up!

Sandi.S.

Thanks Shelli!
Now let's see if I did this right!

Sandi.S.

Best of luck at the fair!
I was thinking the same thing as Donna. I get my regular film developed at Walmart and I know they do cd's. Probably lots of developers do it nowdays. So go take some pics so we can see your bears!  bear_grin

Sandi.S.

Good question, Shelli...but what does free range mean?  Does that mean cage free?

Sandi.S.

Matilda, maybe that'll be my specialty! And I'll have you to thank.  bear_grin

Sandi.S.

Congrats, Laura!

Good luck with selling your house. Hope all goes well for you.

Sandi.S.

I haven't ordered any yet, but Melissa referred me to www.sassybearsandfabrics.com for mini fabric. They have a lot to choose from.

Sandi.S.

Dilu, what a clever idea! I have a spice rack the revolves...hmmm.  bear_grin Maybe when I have a larger assortment.
I wish I was organized! I'd lose my head if it weren't stuck on so tight.

Sandi.S.

Check out www.edinburghimports.com
There's a pretty good assortment of smaller eyes on their site.

Sandi.S.

Right now all I have are 2mm onyx beads which I got from ebay. Those are relatively easy to find on ebay or a bear supply company. I also have some glass eyes on wire. I got these on ebay as well although don't recommend them. They are the ones that mention "decoy" in the title. I've bought 2 sizes, 2mm & 4mm. I personally haven't had any trouble with them breaking but they are really hard to match up. I got 12 pair in a lot and I'll be lucky to use 2 pair! So while they're cheaper as a lot, they are actually costing about $4.00/pair since I can't use the others. ARGHHHH!

Sandi.S.

Very funny Jenny!  bear_grin It's nice to start the day with a good giggle!
