There is a free pattern lower down the index page here - labelled - Free pattern. It can be downloaded.
It was kindly provided by SueAnn. I don't know how technical or simple your pattern needs are - but looking at the challenge gallery will illustrate how it can be made up.
Just a thought..................
Magical wasn't it - and the photography awesome - with emphasis on the aaghh.
I particularly liked the bit where one bear was laying prone on his back - half propped up - scratching his back. You could almost hear the thought processes - left a bit- up a bit - down a bit - BINGO.
The knowledge that this man had gleaned was incredible- I hope the people of Canada (I believe that's where he called home) listen to him and benefit from it.
Even though I'll never get the opportunity to see these magnificent animals in the wild - I need to know they exist and thrive somewhere on the planet.
Don't you find that the major task is deciding what the flipping problem is to begin with. Then you can research how to fix it.
So often I don't know what's wrong except that it won't do what I want it to do.
Experts laughingly say - follow the on-screen instructions. That's fine - so long as you can make sense of the on-screen stuff in the first place.
These things are sent to try us- and they surely do..............................
its good to know there are others out there that struggle with the computer as I do.
Warmest hugs,
Aleta
Boy - you got that right.
Failing that - borrow the neighbours great grand child - they'll get it without knowing what they're even doing. Its so dispiriting. I do hope you get your problem solved. Pen Pen will know I bet.........
Fine gauge fishing line?
Very fine gauge floristry wire?
Horse hair might be too thick do you think?
Some brilliant person will be on in a minute with a ..........why didn't I think of that answer..........
Thank you for sharing your photos! Blurry or not we all enjoy peeking in on a bear show we're not able to attend in person. It's also great to see faces of TT'ers as well as a view of how everyone sets up their stand.
A real treat!! :)
Warmest bear hugs,
Aleta
Can I echo Aleta's comments. I thought everyone's work looked wonderful. People don't always appreciate the effort and organisation that each artist has to put into these events for the public to enjoy.
Thank you for taking the :photo: and posting them - its really appreciated for people unable to travel like myself.
These Shelties are so realistic they are really amazing...........................
Thank you so much for posting the :photo: .
The handouts on the neck joints are brilliant too.
Thank you for the feedback - its lovely to know what worked and more importantly what didn't. I don't like to reinvent the wheel if I can help it - life is too short to stuff a mushroom....................
Have we got :photo: :photo: :photo:
This is one scrummy bear - I wish you had made him for me
Isn't she a cutie pie...................
Many congratulations. One satisfied customer coming up.....................
I'm sure I read somewhere that wrapping the armature in a length of polyester fibrefill(like rolling a sausage roll) and then covering the whole lot with a layer of non-stretch fabric to give you a sort of lead in a pencil effect. Then place in the limb and fill in the surrounding space.
I haven't done this myself but someone more knowledgeable will be on in a minute I'm sure.
You should be able to find 'clear feet' - in the mean time - if you measure your seam allowance distance from the needle hole and fasten a piece of clear tape onto the base plate in this position - you'll feel the seam allowance with a barrier for your fabric. I used to use this method to help children keep a straight line when learning use the machine.
Hope this helps.
Well - my word! - hasn't she got him just where she wants him?
Both are gorgeous.......................
Someday I hope that will happen to me..........................
SOMEDAY
Please add my link Penny - I'd be honoured.
I'll try to figure out how to reciprocate if you don't mind?
Paula
My sister often tells me I would be unemployable these days because I simply can't manage to do as I'm told!
If everyone did as they were told we'd all be robots and the free spirited people wouldn't be able to invent/develop new ideas.
Grief - don't my posts sound like 'tablet from on high 'today -
I need to go lay down in a darkened room.........................
Good gracious - what a STUNNER............
It's actually pretty easy to set up a Squidoo lens. You just add "modules" from their "add modules" page and then you edit them to customize. Waaaayyyy easier than it looks, just like most blogs are. It's all done for you!
Don't you just love Shelli - she has such faith is us
I bumped into it the other day when I saw 'my squidoo' under your post signature and didn't know what it was. I thought it was great.
I was reading somewhere that someone else had this problem the other day - the answer given to them was to hand paint with black an additional circle around the pupil.(from the back of course).
This would seem to suggest that commercially they might not be available.
I'm sure someone else has the answer though - and PDQ too knowing TTers.
I may have missed a post somewhere (no pun intended) but did your fabric package ever arrive?
How are the dolls coming on?
Where do you manage to find all those scrummy antique fabrics - they are like hen's teeth over here.
Here's where I show my ignorance  what's the significance of 'The Princess and the Pea'? Is it a nursery rhyme or children's story?
Have I had a deprived childhood or am I just thick?
Tracy -I've hod two dogs in my life who have had seizures. One as a result of a bad batch of vaccine and the other due to low blood pressure.
Golly is obviously not like the first one but I assume you've eliminated the blood pressure. Since being prescribed the medication he's not had one single attack.(Touch wood and everything crossed) He was fourteen years old last weekend.
Just thought I'd offer a little encouragement.
Squirrels have an attitude.........
Now you see it ----- Now you don't
A lot of patience needed for those pics - Thank you for posting................
