All mine fit perfectly. I am too picky to have to fuss each time. I do leave my gusset a tad longer, 1/2 an inch. I like having the wiggle room there. the rest should fit if the same seam allowance is used all over.
I buy my teddy bear reviews on Ebay, nice lady sells them and will hold onto one months, so I can get 2 months at a time, less shipping!! I only buy them when you all say they are good!
Maybe it should be on the East coast for those in the European countries.... Or we can have it in Texas at Sue Anns!!
Millinery flowers can be velvet. These are the flowers that use to be used on fancy women's hats.

Well, they may be a tad bad..
But bailey does all my emailing.
Such naughtie kitties!! Mine would never be that bad......
Yes her bow is more of a rust color with fall flowers and leaves. I might just switch some holly in there and call her Holly, or Merry, or add jingle bells and call her Jingles, or Noel, or gosh I don't know!!
Hey, since my auction won't be on until Dec 4 , do you think I can change it to be more Christmas-y? Add a red bow and some holly perhaps? I think Autumn will be over and it should be more wintery to attract that market.
Okay, this pic is from 4 years ago, but totally represents me and my attitude.
the 2nd one is from the spring.
I have a silly photo of me. My students love to check out my bear site and love the pic, totally what they see daily in the classroom!! My Mom doesn't like it! Oh well, too bad! I'll post it in the other thread..
I like to do the gusset with the nap forward, so there are bangs puffy over the bears little eyes. A whole different look and fun to do!!
I like nutella sandwiches. Like having chocolate for lunch!! My first classroom TA 5 years ago would eat one everyday, so I asked for a bite. LOVED IT!!!!
Sorry, I think I won't do this swap. :/
I had such a hard time trying to do this charity bear for children with cancer, I can't possibly make a bear for my mother in law, nephew and my own child by Feb. let alone make one for fun. Next time I'll be part of this, but this time I will live through your experiences... :)
Sorry guys, sounds like fun....
Just wondering... why are cotterpins not considered safe. I thought all I needed to get was some safety eyes so I can make my bambino a bear. I can use my mohair for it can't I??
I mix cotton fibre and polyfibre. I take the "slippery" stuff and mix it with the cotton stuff and use that combo for the head. I found that the cotton stuffed to clumpy and not uniform, and the polyfiber wasn't hard enoght for me.... So that was my solution. Mix them beforehand..
I use to love the snorks. how cool to live underwater and have your own snorkle!!
I don't like my bears that I buy to have tags, I feel they are more like manufactured bears. I like hang tags...
I guess soft suede would be okay..
Hi all! Well, gosh it takes me longer than I thought to finish a bear these days!!
Can't seem to stay awake or sit that long. Oh well, my little Charity bear is done and the auctions aren't over with yet!!
Let me introduce Autumn. She is 12" tall in a crisp white mohair. I did my usual painted footpads and added that touch to the pawpads as well. Autumn also has sparkly green eyes to go with her Fall inspired bow and flowers.
I know a lot of people and can socialize well, but truly don't have very many close friends. I'm more of a hermit and keep to myself and hang out with honey hubby. You all are my friends!
oh..... I wann play, but I'm not reliable enough for this.. With baby on the way, I'm lucky to get a few bears done.... Baby stll neds its own. i will say that I want a Daphne bear (avatar!!)
I'm carrot cake!!!
I have an awl like Clare's and one that is smaller. Can't live without it!!
I think it is very nice looking
My fave is 370 s/c - of course it is now their pre-pak deal for the week. Arrgh! I have to buy it!!!! :D
I also like the longer fur Quality 610S/C - I used color 388SD for Oliver.
I'm also partial to their tie-dyed fabrics, http://www.intercaltg.com/catalog2/tiedyes.html I've used the 370 S/CTY and the 785 H/TY. They are very lush!
Peta and Matilda - HI!
A lot of us just took time to sit down with our photosoftware and figured out what we liked. I use Jasc Paint shop Pro. It has a free demo, google it. I'd also be willing to help you as you try it, just email or PM me!!
