Sue Ann, I'm in too!!!  I need to lose ?*&%# pounds and I'm feeling crappy because of it.  My knee will prevent running, but I'm determined to walk and use the exercise equipment that currently has mohair hanging over it bear_grin   bear_grin  bear_grin

Pansy-close.jpgI'll tell you what I've done that seems to work.  I don't know what its called in USA but we call it 'Nappysan' powder for soaking diapers. I put the specified amount in a bucket with warm water and soak for a few minutes, or until the right colour.(it seems to take out a bit of orange)  I then rinse with some hair conditioner and tumble dry to fluff it up.  Having bleached and dyed ALOT of dogs over the years for showing(oops I didn't say that!!) I've found the secret to lessening damage to the hair is in the conditioning and I bath, condition and tumble dry all my intercal mohair, particularly the 370s/c...brings it up a treat.(Thickens, shines and softens).  I've attached a pic of 370s/c pale apricot(It isn't pale!!) after doing this and you can see how it brings it up.

The 'gal' who put the website together is a fellow dog judge who is a retired computer whiz and makes websites as a hobby now.

I'd love to link with some of my TT friends, Jane and Karen, problem is I don't know how to do it, but I'm sure I'll learn bear_grin  bear_grin  bear_grin

Jane, I've changed my mind...I don't want Hugh Jackman anymore, I want Ewan MacGregor, so if you see him hangin' around you can give him the message bear_grin  bear_grin

I love hearing how each and everyone of you will be spending Christmas, its so interesting, especially the Kahlua chocolate pecan pie...RECIPE PLEASE?

Christmas eve is a tradition in our home, and the only time I insist the boys stay home, and we watch Carols by Candlelight on TV(its held every year in Melbourne and televised nationwide)with plenty of nibbles and chocolates to eat.

Christmas Day mum and dad, Aunty Ev (mom's cousin who has spent every Christmas with us since I was a child), my boys and Lucas' wife Bec, my brother and his girlfriend and I will all go to my youngest brother's house (He is married with 2 small children) and sit around the Christmas tree and hand out gifts.  Then we'll all go out to the big back veranda and have Christmas dinner (spit roast pork and chicken, cooked and eaten outdoors because of the summer weather).

Then us girls will do the clean up in the kitchen while the menfolk clean the spit, then dad will lay on the couch and snore for a while and I'll leave late afternoon to have dinner at a friends place (probably prawns, crabs and lobster...yum)

Then we spend Boxing day getting over all the food we've eaten and just lazing around bear_grin  bear_grin  bear_grin

YEP, I love it when I get a card in the letterbox and I drive to the post office and they hand over the box.....my last shipment was kid mohair and I've got to say its the softest I've ever felt (my avatar bear) and the best to work with!!

Gatehouse Bears

I'm so glad you got your heart's desire for Christmas....clever hubby you got there bear_grin

Gatehouse Bears

ROTFLMAO.....Daphne, just be patient....and don't trick poor hubby....thats not fair....us girls know we're smarter than them, so its an advantage we should save for the important stuff.....well You think this is important, but what about the magic of opening it on Christmas day.....won't that be better?

Gatehouse Bears

Thanks everyone, I'm writing a list and checking it twice.....oops, thats someone else isn't it....I'd love to link with you Nanc......and I'll be checking out you website too Laura.  I knew I'd get good answers from TT. bear_thumb  bear_thumb

Gatehouse Bears

Oh Girls and guys, its so interesting reading this thread.....I'd forgotten what I used to do......I got rid of my PROBLEM 15 years ago.....rang his GIRLFRIEND and told her if she wanted him she better come get him.....and my life has been wonderful since.(well, if you don't count the few years my sons and I lived without any money til I took him to the cleaners in court  )

I'm with Pen Pen, I don't do nufin....well not much anyway.  I gave the boys a hamper each when they were 12 and told them if they didn't do their washing they would go to school naked....I did cook for them and we shared the vacuum and bathroom cleaning.  But they each looked after their own dogs.  Now I only have the youngest at home, Clinton 22, and he's not home for dinner often, so I eat alot of salads and only cook when he's home.  The Doberman is Clinton's responsibility and the whippet (I've got whippet too Laura) is all mine...love that dog bear_wub
The Pug lives with my friend (my showing partner) and is only mine at shows when I take her in the ring, so no responsibility there either.
Well what do you know that gives me LOTS of clear time to make bears.....and talk on the puter.

Gatehouse Bears

I try to do a photo shoot like a fashion photographer would...lots of different poses, body angles, looking down, up, head tilt(that's really good for grabbing hearts) but most of all eyes, eyes, eyes!  Always remember the eyes are the window to the soul and you've got to get that lookin into the eye shot. Don't be afraid to use the macro and get close ups....do people generally fall in love with a bear because the body or arms and legs 'speak' to them.....NO.....usually its the face.

Oops...I'll get off my soapbox now bear_grin  bear_grin  bear_grin

Gatehouse Bears

Please help a computer illiterate????
I'm having a new website made (the first one was put together by my son and was done badly and quickly) and I need to tell the put-er-together-er who I want to have on the links page.

Well I've thought of the obvious; Intercal, edinburgh, bearycheap, Gerrys....and then I can't think.....I know all you web savvy girls and guys will be able to come up with some answers for me PLEASE??!!
