What a lovely idea, you have done a great job!
Just added yours, can you add mine? pandypotter.blogspot.com Blogger is great. If you go onto mine, give cutest blogs a click, they are in the top lefthand corner of my blog. I love those designs. Happy blogging!
I know another pink ellie, but I do love em! This time it was'nt the wine sending me off on a pink ellie trip, it was a bag of marshmallows.
I looked like this in the morning, too much fake tan! I'm now scrubbed down to a pale apricot shade LOL Lovely little bear, makes you smile and think of summer.
Just delightful and a good cause too.
Lovely idea, thank you.
We used to have a menswear shop and a bear shop at one time. I did get used to shop lifters, mainly druggies, I even had a Steiff panda stolen, but this? Different league as its so much more personal. I can't see how they could enjoy the mouse knowing what they did so I would say maybe its someone staeling to sell on to get money. Keep an eye on ebay, but try not to let it get you down. Two years ago some yobs tried to steal a cash box, they were coming out of the door with it, I managed to grab it, have a bit of a grapple then luckily fell over with it in my hands! After all these incidents, we got cars driven through the shop window a few times , I felt low, but its the world we live in, mainly good but with a few bad people just to remind us how good others really are! Sending bad vibes to who ever did it!!!!
Thanks everyone Bubbles is off up the M6 tomorrow to Manchester.
I gave a lady a discount when she asked the other week. If you don't ask and all that. I was happy with the price, nice lady actually. I think it all depends, no hard and fast rules. I'm quite loathe to ask to be honest but hubby was brought up to barter. His dad worked in the scrap metal trade, very much a bartering business. Hubs always has the gift of the gab and gets discounts, but never takes or makes offence if declined.
I managed to get photos done today of Bubbles, on ebay at the moment!
Hes got a lovely cheeky smile!
Lovely idea and bear. Well done!
Fantastic!!!!!!
Thanks everyone, Orlando has been lucky and is off on his travels.
I got my bear off Kerrilyn today. I'm so pleased. She has taken a picture of ours together so will hopefully post when she gets chance.
Hi everyone. This is Orlando my first attempt at kool aid dying, well part dyed. I hope you like him.
This is really cheeky. Don't worry Ali, you did the right thing by contacting the original pattern maker. I've seen all sorts over the years, a woman buying a bear to take apart for the pattern! She openly admitted it!!!! People saying they make their own patterns then there it is in their feedback, bought patterns. I started out by buying a pattern and a book but its not until you sit there with just a pencil and paper, nothing else and draw, thats when they are yours. Its such a shame, she is robbing artists in a very mean way.
He looks nice in the top picture!
Well january is a month that seems to want to be got out of the way. I know I should'nt think like that but.....roll on spring! Glad you are back.
I keep a file, on my computer. It can be anything I see, colours, pictures. I've got one of cupcakes, it really makes me want to do candy coloured sweet bears. I found lots of vintage inspired Blogs over Christmas and that has swung what I would like to do bear wise in another direction. Paula commented on her blog about mixing styles or adding a twist to her bears. I like that idea, as I don't think it hurts to mix styles or add a pinch of something to spice it up, fusion bearmaking!
He looks like my daughter when she gets annoyed because she can't do something first time. Lovely design and loads of expression.
I love the funny bits at the end too, reminds you to laugh at life! I'm lucky that in my 'real life' job I meet some real characters, I always have a laugh with.
I know what you mean. I think if I did'nt have radio, TV or newspapers, do you know, I'd consider myself better off than last year. Mad, but it can be a frame of mind too, well for me. I just think its the empathy with fellow people, you can't help it. Thousands of jobs lost in my small city. Just keep going, thats what I'm doing, but its hard when so many people are struggling. The California news made for a grim situation, we had the same thing happen last year, a whole family wiped out, ready for the bailiffs to find the burnt out house and what lay within.
Lifes not all easy, but I'm glad of my little creations and bear friends, it all helps.
I must say I've read some Blogs that I did'nt know about. Blogging has really helped me to stay connected and advertise my bears. I also just enjoy yacking! Its a bit of a hobby/pastime now, not just my beary friends but others like the Annies and vintage Blogs. Pure indulgence, its like a cup of cocoa for the eyes. I check in to see whos who, good fun. http://bestbearartistblogs.gotop100.com/
Very regal! Look at those eyes too. It really does stand out, very brave, but you've really pulled it off!
