The British Bear Artist nominees appear to have been notified !!

I am very happy to be nominated in Category 6 Furry friends......... are there any more nominees on TT ?
Here is my entry.

The Rabbit Maker

Well done Kim and congratulations to all the other winners

The Rabbit Maker

Yeah I was wondering as well.... there's  usually a report by someone about the show too ??

The Rabbit Maker

Well I new there must be a way of sending an email to all on my mailing list without sending on their email address as well, because it has always annoyed me when I have found my name on a bulk list.

That's why when I have emailed collectors on my list I end up sending them out individually...... which you can imagine takes a long time !! I don't tend to sell through my website really so it's not too much of a problem.

I did have it happen to me when someone from a business used our email to add to one of these silly 'see how many email addresses you can get'  things . I was straight on the phone.....!!!!

I will look into the bcc thing though.

The Rabbit Maker

What a lovely little show and with the option to vote .....it was a nice little starter to a wet and windy November 1st. Hope it goes well for you.

To 'US' bears.......

Thankyou for clearing that up. bear_grin

You obviously live with very intelligent bears who can use computers. ( I shall have to get my rabbits trained) I hope they help out with the cleaning and cooking !!!!!!

In future therefore I will pay more attention to what the BEAR is saying and listen to the opinions of 'reborning' from THEIR point of view.

I actually think that a lot of bears could be 'reborn'........ by adding a bobtail, long ears and whiskers..........    bear_tongue

...............................I've crossed the line now haven't I ????  bear_grin

Hi

US bears

Sorry to sound confused but are you a 'bear' or a 'human'?  I don't mean to sound cheeky I just want to make sure I am reading your posts correctly.   bear_cry  bear_wacko  bear_thumb

The Rabbit Maker

Congratulations he's wonderful

Cosmetic surgery has finally reached the bear world ???????? bear_grin

The Rabbit Maker

I have seen  examples of this artists work, and this artist seems  more than capable of turning out their own bears  and seems to be very successful with their  bear sales..................so I don't understand why they have the need to re-work someone elses work and offer it for sale.

There is surely more pride involved in selling your own work ??

I would want the credit for all my own work and not share it with someone else.

If you can do noses and trimming and shading and eyes then this is actually some of the more skilled areas of bear artistry and is what makes your bear individual.

Is it just a case of avoiding the sometimes less exciting parts of bearmaking like cutting out, trimming seems, stuffing etc ??

I just don't get it

Teddy-talk.jpgTeddy-talk-1.jpgHi

I thought I would show you something I've been working on. I suppose this is how I originally imagined my rabbits would look like but they have actually developed another way as I couldn't work out how do it.
I think I have worked it out now, so I may run this style as a new range. It is a lot slimmer than my original designs and has armature in the arms and legs.
I would be interested to know what you think. Shelly x

Super job Jane it's great to see everyone, even though I was there, as I only really managed a glance as I was walking past to buy fabrics.    Hope you're feeling better soon  bear_wub
