A NICe day for a change - Melody Puddle arrived - the most gorgeous, funny little creature - huge thanks, Wendy
and the new TBS... A big 3-page article on Krista's "canine crackers" , a page on "Nursery Rhyme Time (Catherine - Bumpkin bears) and pics of Marion Fraile's Candice, a couple of adorable pink bears from Samantha...I've only quickly flicked thru' so if i missed anyone - apologies...

Jodi - I read your initial mail last night just as I was on my way out for the evening - and I really felt for you! It HURTS to come across the few mean people who try to inhabit our wonderful bear world - a couple of years back I experienced what felt like a physical kick in the stomach when faced with a blatant rip-off of one of my pieces...
We have been and still are going thru' a rough time, when the whole world seems indifferent or against us...but the bears keep me going, even if, at times it's just mindless sewing.........and then nice things happen to bring back a smile. I stayed up into the wee small hours on Sat, determined to bag one of Wendy's Puddles from the BAO show - SUCCESS!!! And then Sat night came the first in a series of wildy enthusiastic mails from an american bear collector, which resulted in an order for five bears
So we CAN'T give up! I feel enormously privileged to be part of the bear world which is full of the most wonderful people

big sympathies over the storms - the bad ones are really scarey! And as for lightening...my neighbour's son-in -law actually got struck by lightening recently.  Fortunately, he and another person were only knocked out cold - rushed to hospital, but suffered no real damage.....but it makes you nervous!!!!
Glad to hear you are posting off the Puddles - can't wait for mine!!!!!

I've said it before, but I can't repeat it often enough - you are such a wonderful person  - it's almost as if distressed animals KNOW to come to you...
Winnie looks such a sweetie, and is obviously a wonderful mum - and the kittens??? Just as well we don't live near you - things are in a state of upheaval here, and adopting new kitties will just have to wait a while....

Good on ya, Eliza - I hope the babies will be O.k. It's always lovely to be able to rescue some little wild animal - my best so far have been a couple of bats - and i am consumed with jealousy when I read of someone rescuing a bear cub - but we don't have any here.....

Yes - we saw it here too, on last night's news - a scene of UTTER devastation- I hope everyone here is O.k. - no.... I hope EVERYONE is O.K. - I can't even begin to imagine what it must have been like
