If the body is as beautiful as the head, your bear will be gorgeous!
Well done, Laurie!
What is exactly his colour. It is very dark: looks like very dark mauve...

Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Oh, poor darling kitty! This must be soo hard for you, Judi! That is so unfair to see a darling pet go.

Weel, if I had children i guess I would say them that there was no hope in saving the poor kitty, and at least now she is not in pain anymore.
You should suggest your children to choose a new kitty without waiting too long. this kitty won't replace the poor one but at least, you will all have new things to keep your attention and this will avoid all of you to feel too sad...

With all my love,
Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Anne, you don't have to feel guilty!
You are forgiven!
I don't think we can find perfect automatic translators. that is why we still need humans for the job!!!

Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Well, i am happy to be good enough in English to be able to manually translate my website.

I wanted to have fun and show you an example of what can this translator do with the description of my bear Pipin:

Just enjoy:

http://babelfish.altavista.com/
Here Pipin. It is in German mohair. It is a mohair gilded with the short hair (5 mm) and scattered. Its bearings are in ultra-Sweden. I embroidered his nose and his mouth with maroon twisted cotton. I made him claws as logists black pearls of rubble. It entirely is articulated using joints of sureté. It has eyes of sureté black. It is stuffed of buckled dense polyester. It measures 32 cm. I have it vêtu of a green baize kilt, of a doubled matched suedine chestnut cape just as his hat. I bent on the kilt and the cape of the yellow and maroon baize reasons. I attached a small suedine purse to him to his kilt. It has a collar with its first name. It has grelots in its ears.

Are these translators really doing a good translation?... i am curious...
Matilda, I did not go to Oxford for studies but to work as a Senior Scientist at the Center for Ecology and Hydrology. I was doing environmental microbiology. i have finished my studies and got my PhD in 2003... not really useful for my teddy bear making!!!

Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Deb, you should try to make your website using htt:/www.freewebs.com.
They have got a web editor very convenient to use and which avoid you breaking your head with HTML language.
It just works a similar way as doing something on Microsoft Word (with less potentialities).

I managed to do it for me, so there is no reason you should not! and if you need help, just ask Dr sophie (and funnyly, I AM a Doctor as I have got a PhD, but not in informatics...  bear_tongue ).

Then once you have your website done, you can add TT banner!  bear_original

Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Thanks to all of you!
You are all so great friends for me!

If you visit again my website, you can see I have already begun to add pages in English. More translated pages will follow during the following days depending on how long a day I can spend on it!!! So all of you will be able to read it!
By the way, if you find mistakes in my English, PM me to tell me. My english cannot be perfect, but my website needs to show a perfect writting!!!

I have added your banner on my website!

Beary hugs,

Right, the best thing to do will be that I will paste my banner in my website, so you can copy it and paste it in your website. (the pic of my banner in my previous post is with a lawer resolution).

Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Banner-SophieZOurs.jpgHere is my banner!!!

Beary hugs,

lapousmor

before giving you my link, I will try to make a banner to come with the link. That will be much better.
I will be back to you as soon as it's ready!
Oh, I have no reason not to put your links as long as you put mine!

Beary hugs,
Sophie.

English version of my website will come soon, dear friends!
I made my website using the web editor included in Freewebs.com and used too another web editor I have downloaded on my i-Mac (it is called Nvu). That is quite tricky to tranfer the modifications from Nvu to Freewebs, but still doable (surprisingly, I don't manage to publish modifications). so i just copy the html text from one to another.
I have to say that maknig a website nowadays is so easy when we don't have the knowledge of html language... Well, html is not that complex but not fun to use...

Thank you very much to all of you for your nice comments. Concerning the colours, I chose one of the templates proposed on Freewebs.com...

Beary hugs,
Sophie.    bear_wub  bear_wub  bear_wub

lapousmor

I hope i will manage to have it in English too.
I will translate it myself if this is the best way to do...
I will ask Irène how she did to give opportunity to reach an english version just by clicking on the English flag.

Beary hugs,
Sophie.

If you want to swap links with me, please let me know, and give me your link!

Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Dear all,

I love the idea about a list of people who would fancy swapping bears.

I would like to give my idea about it:
Why not asking everyone in that list to submit pics of prototypes of the bears they feel ready to make as swap bears. This would give people an idea about what kind of bear they would get!!!
For example, concerning myself, I could say: i would love to make a "baby bear" (a bear like the one on my avatar) as a swap bear (I have decided to make more baby bears for they are so successful).
Like that, you could said, see bears X, Y, Z as references.
Well, of course, that's just me thinking loudly.
I know that some artist make every bear very diferent from the previous ones...
Just a matter of choice!

I wanted to add that one day, I said someone on this board that i was totally crazy of her bears and that I would be delighted if I could swap bears with her. She answered me she would love to! And oh  dear, when i got her answer, I have not been far from crying. I was soooo happy she accepted. She is sooo talentuous, much more experimented than I am! We have not done the swapping yet but I look forward to do it...

If I can get such warm answers from other people from the board, for sure, i will become the happiest collector and artist!

Oh, by the way: if I happen to ask someone to swap bear with her/him and if this artist answer me that my bears are not her/his favourite, this won't make me feel sad or disappointed. I can understand it perfectly. And even I prefer to get such an answer better than learning later on that this artist was disappointed or disliked my bear!!! Bears are made to please their familly...

Beary hugs,
Sophie.
