yes the marquee was like a giant light box, the weather was very poor we kept having heavy rain and thunder and lightening, but inside the white plastic it was lovely and bright.

hope you like her she is my central bear at this weekend art exhibition
We had a Station gala just to promote our town and railway station the stalls were all free to local artists and crafters just to show off
Here am I with my bears,
I was next to "Bare Arts Brewery" stall, they are an art gallery specializing in abstract nudes and with a brewery making beer.
as they didn't have a licence to sell beer at the fair they came and gave free samples, I had a veryu happy time lol caught with a glass in my hand
Hi Dilu I am just catching up again i haven't been on here for a while, are you dancing yet I do hope so
Oh Sophie i am so sorry for you, that is so upsetting. I never could use manual cameras so this would be a normal result for me before I went digital. But you take such good photos at Le mans, have a big hug and feel happier soon
Estelle
thanks guys I now fell justified spending the money. Carolyn you are right in a way, they are copies of early 60s scooters are made of metal with a sort of old Finnish like the old tin toys. I hope that doesn't make them antique I had a scooter in 1960 and used to ride down to Brighton and to South sea on it
you think right that is on lovely bunny
I coudnt resist these scooters for my bears( shouldnt really have spent the money)
one of my cats broke her back leg once, the vet put a plaster cast on just like on a person, she was soon running about as good as new. I shall be thinking of you and your poor Kitty I do hope every comes out as well as for my old cat freckles

I have been very lucky with my shop people they are bear lovers and have been very careful ( SO FAR) I hope I haven't tempted fate, I should much rather sell wholesale but have never had the opportunity. I dont know if I could make enough bears
thanks Shelli I have known how to make things transparent for ages but could never save them properly it was driving me nuts . I have just followed your instructions, saved as ping and yay yay yay yay it worked first time I think I will give you a big hug
WOW
I sell at a craft gallery which takes my bears sale or return, I tell them my price and they put on their mark up. I also sell through two art galleries and one shop who take my bears sale or return but they don't mark the price up they take twenty percent of the sale, so I have to make sure and take that into account when pricing. I make two copies of paper work listing the bears and prices the shop or gallery owner keeps one and sings the other which I keep. and once a month I get a cheque for sold bears. I have never cold called so I cant advise you on that. I have always been approached by the gallery owners asking for stock. I guess i have been lucky as I am not in the top class of bear artists. I hope your injury gets better quickly and you will soon be out selling bears
he is fantastic I really love him
I showed Shoebroad at an art gallery in April I collected him at the weekend. I had glued 4 pennys to the bottom of his violin case, but when I collected him it was full.
People thought it such a laugh they tossed coins in.( I shall have to get him a bigger case)
I agree with Kate, the part I take umbrage with is the price thing, there are lots of things I should like, a big red Ferrari, a house with a stable block all way more than I can afford, but I don't expect people to sell below cost just because I cant afford the price.
Bear take a lot of time + love to make and no one I know gets back in money what they put in in care and skill and artistic talent. ( there i have had my rave, I think I will go and lay down now)
I saw this as I cut through the market this morning and had to snap it
