still making fruity head dolls...i think i will enlarge the patterns and make bigger kid-safe dolls for sewing stars. these have been so much fun to make!
hey thanks everyone!
she is as cute as... strawberrys! she has nice stool, too:)
How did you make her dress, by hand or with sewing machine? I was always worried how to make such small dresses
and mumka, i sewed it on the machine for the skirt, and the top and bottom, but when folding in half to sew the last seam i decided i had better control by hand stitching, so i did the ladder/hidden stitch on the outside.
thanks again!

arrrgh! he is mighty fine pirate bear! the belt totally adds to his look too. great job!
wow!! they are gorgeous, and your brother & his wife are so fortunate to get them!! your bears always make me swoon, so sweet, so beautiful!
okay, so i know this isn't a bear, but she was made with the skills & knowledge i gained here at teddy talk! she is thread jointed, has tiny glass eyes, and her head & limbs are made of a superfine knit. her dress is cotton & silk on a tiny tiny scale. smaller than any outfit i have ever made! anyway, i was pretty happy with her, so i am sharing her here too!
these little q.d.patoodies are awesome! i saw this one on your blog first, it is so amazingly cute!!
sadly, this happens a lot more than anyone would think, especially such nice bear people like you guys! i actually was attacked on my own blog over a year ago when i first started making bears. i was totally embarrassed and felt very sad that people are so mean and try to bully people to bring others down with them. i chose to ignore the attack, never acknowledge it, and delete the nasty comments left for me.
the best thing to do is just ignore this person. the don't deserve a response for being so rude!

playing around again with patterns...just wanted to share!
***edited to add:***
she is so cute! that bow is just like icing on the cake of cuteness!
i made this little bear as an experiment this evening. i thread jointed it, so it can pose a little bit.
i think it came out looking an awful lot like the gloomy bears, though...i didn't mean for it to!
he is GREAT! and not offensive at all. but then, i tend to swear more than most people i think...
your creations take my breath away! your mum is one lucky lady!
awesome thread jodi!!
here is my little guy, neo:
he loves sleeping under the covers, especially in the winter.
and this is one of my favorite pics of him, i call it "neo vs. the vacuum". the vacuum won by the way...
yay!!
oh . my . god . that is adorable!!!! wowza!!
personally i have avoided ebay after not selling anything my last three times listing, and paying the outrageous fee for being in the 'featured' section. for a lot less money i have had much better success over at bid4bears on my first try! plus i started using an etsy.com shop to sell at too for different more specific customers that are looking for handmade.
so i guess i am boycotting ebay! inadvertently anyway....
oh daphne!! i am sooo sorry to hear all the sadness touching you! i have your whole family in my thoughts!
((((hugs!!))))
well, i have had items (small items mind you) get lost on occasion. i just sucked up the loss and reshipped the items. it sounds like the post office lost it though, and i think it will eventually show up...it may take weeks, though.
feel better katrina! {{{healing thoughts you way!!}}}

here is another option if you want woven labels for cheap, i use luckylabel.com. they are in asia,
but my transaction was very smooth. i just ordered the "name tapes", and i LOVE the way they look!
i used to stamp my logo on ribbon, but it was a time consuming task, and for $20 i had 50 labels
ready to use when ever i wanted...i am lazy i guess!!
the big upside to the iron transfers is getting a label with your own logo on it.
yep! writing like talking to friend. and i certainly don't do it everyday. usually 2-3 times a week is plenty!
maybe it is because it is tax time? i am sad to see some people aren't selling either place, but in part relieved because i was starting to wonder if my bears aren't any good since they haven't sold on ebay in months...
hey you will be closer to me!! maybe once you are settled in we can hang out!
also, since you looking at boston, let me recommend the somerville area. it is where a lot of people i know live, it is its own city right next to boston, and it is very community oriented. i have LOTS of friends that either live there now, or lived there at one point. i can ask them how they found their apartments. and boston is super expensive...if you see an apartment with heat included snatch it up. that is my main issue in rhode island, the heating bills...
congrats on escaping kansas!
thanks you guys!! i made 3 with tiny muzzles for the new england show...i'll see how they go over there...
