Here is mine too!!!
I too am going through this at the moment, I have so many ideas, but no motivation to make them a reality, at the moment I am just making my orders. I've decided to cut right back on attending shows this year, which has taken alot of pressure off in the production of display bears, but in turn, my website really has nothing new to offer either. I have to take my hat off to everyone that creates a new bear every week, I really don't know how they do it!!!
My suggestion, just go with the flow, it will happen when the time is right, no use pushing the issue when your subconscious is just not interested!!!
I know exactly what you mean, I have all these new ideas in my head, that keep having to take a back seat, because orders have to come first.
I work part time for my husband's family business too, as well as a gym junkie, run a household (with no kids though, just furry ones) as well as run our own business, and of course, trying to build my bear business in my spare time. It can send your mind all over the place, I've found the easiest way is to go with the flow, make your orders your priority and then go from there, the only thing I'm finding is that competitions are also starting to take the back seat also, which may be a good thing, it really cuts down the anxiety of waiting for the results!!!!
Me too!!!!!I'm so wrapped my Billy Bunyip got thru......Good Luck to everyone!!!
Hi Judi,
Your new website is fabulous, I love your work, truely awesome....well done
Thanks guys, for all the wonderful comments, I did thoroughly enjoy creating him, being a fanatical dog lover helped too!!!!
What a great topic, must be so hard for the judges to choose the finalists, here is my piece that didn't make it, "Hoot".
OMG, I am so wrapped....big congrats to everyone.
Here is my piece "Irwin and Croc", my own little tribute to the wonderful Aussie, Steve Irwin.
This is my first custom order for my new range "Best Friends". His name is Beau and he is a Springer Spaniel, my customer was so wrapped with how he turned out (just quietly, so was I) that I just had to share his pic with everyone.
Now I'm anxious too, I entered both, I didn't realize the announcements were so close, good luck to everyone who has had a go
Hi Catherine,
I'm not sure what the right thing is to do, but I've gone for Australian dollars as most of my sales are through PayPal and the conversion is automatic in the actual transaction.

Sydney competition.
You can check out the official website which has all the details, I'm sure you can email digital pics and if you qualify you then have to physically post the bear in for the final judging, hope this helps.

Depending on her age, I used to love the British comedy "The Young Ones", when I was in my teens, that was a while ago!!!
"Mcleods Daughters", the aussie outback series is also really good as mentioned by Wendy, another serial that is popular is "Love My Way".
My husband is a real movie addict and has hundreds of DVD's, I am racking my brain at the moment for some aussie movies......"The Nugget", "Bangkok Hilton", "Gallipoli", boy, I'm really having a hard time, we've only got all the big budget American ones, maybe Google aussie films and see how you go, sorry I couldn't be more help.
Cheers
Kim
I would like to try working with recycled fur coats, have had a go a few years ago, but was put off by all the hand stitching. I love needle felting but have discovered that it is very hard on your hands and now I can feel a twinge in my elbow too, not a good sign....I'm not even 40 yet!!!!
I've been working on some new designs, more towards other critters rather than bears and I think the real fur may give them a different look altogether. I suppose you have to take the plunge and "just do it".
Everyone's comments has been very interesting to read so far, hope we get some more!!!
Oh how gorgeous
I have to keep fighting the urges to get a playmate for my "Jett" everytime I see your pics!!!
Hehehe, I love it.
May I add..... 12. Don't hate you when you tell them "No".
OMG, how horrible, that poor dog, oh, how tragic for the owners
Thank you so much for posting that, I had no idea about the raisins or the grapes. I have a young rottweiller who loves grapes, and of course I have shared mine with him, but he would only eat a few and then he wouldn't take any more, how lucky am I!!!!
Thanks again, I will spread the word to all the doggies I know.
Kim
Double sighhh.....I'm so with you on that on Marion, I'm so computer illiterate
Wendy, I know that the Teddy Tree will not be at the Nov show, for sure, I don't know if anyone else will be though.
You may have to take a trip to Osi Park to get your eyes.
Kim
Awww Wendy, why on earth would you be shy, just introduce yourself next time, or maybe put a pic up so I can recognise you. I'm in two minds about trading in November, so not sure whats happening yet, life is sooo full on at the moment!!
Have you been up to the Teddy Tree in Osbourne Park? Have you thought about teaching, with all the different techniques you are using, I'm sure you would be booked out in no time. Let me know if you want some details.
Brenda, your piece looks wonderful, can't wait to see everyones work on the day!!! 5 more sleeps to go

Thanks Wendy, I am also intrigued by your new critters, can't wait to see them. I have just finished a Bunyip which I am really pleased with, talk about stepping out of my comfort zone!!!
Do you know what time we kick off here in Perth on show day?
Have we ever met at the Perth craft fairs, I've been trading for the last couple of years quite consistantly?
Hi to everyone,
Everyone's creations look wonderful, this is so exciting, loved the last show and can't wait for the next one, 7 more sleeps to go
Big thanks to Penny for the deadline extension, sounds like we all needed it
Here is one of my sneaky peeks, Hudson, he's a little bit shy at the moment!!

Thanks Brenda for taking the time to share your experience with me, it was very helpful, I will perservere with Ebay slowly and see how it goes.
Your description was very enlightening and I understand alot more that I did before, thanks again.
Beary kind regards,
Kim
Just wondering if anyone can share some advice on selling through Ebay, setting prices, how many photos for each bear, how long to list for etc.
How does the Feedback rating work, I'm a first time user and it's all very complicated...or is it???
