Roxanne

Hello,
I have just listed a bear on ebay and have received 2 suspicious looking e-mails. The first tell tale sign is that they are asking about "this item". For instance, "I am interested in this item, can you tell me if you can ship it to this zipcode?" Generally, when someone has written me about a bear they compliment on the bears first and ask about the "bear" instead of "the item." And then, they give me a zipcode in Iowa. So I look up this persons ebay ID and it says that this person has 0 feedback and lives in NY. So it sounds like a stolen ID to me.   bear_angry
So, the lesson I guess that we can learn from this is to do a little research on the person that is sending the letter before you respond by clicking on the "respond now" button in the e-mails. Because when you click on the respond button it takes you to where you sign in to ebay! So then, they can steal our ebay id and whatever else they can get to through ebay!!
Man, we have to be on our toes with everything!!  bear_angry

Roxanne

Hey Nancy,
I dont know much about this kind of stuff, but I did find this in the dictionary for you. Maybe it will help:
Definition:  "Rasterize"  to convert an image into points on a grid, to convert an image into bitmap format

Roxanne

Dear Susan,
So sorry to hear about this.....
mmmmm.... How about the name "Blue Mountain Teddie Bears?"
Good Luck!

Roxanne

OH Thank you Daphne and Shantell!  bear_flower
I guess I could call it a "S'more Cheesecake" It has the graham and butter crust, the chocolate ganache, and the marshmallow fondant! hmmm Just might work

Roxanne

Hi Aleta,
I have started a new hobby that I would someday like to make as a business...  bear_wacko
I started last night by making a cheesecake with white chocolate. Let it chill over night and first thing this morning began making a chocolate ganache tha was glazed over the cheescake. Then..... I made a marshmallow fondant to cover it all with. And decorated it with a buttercream icing design. Then took some pics before my hubby dug into it  bear_rolleyes

Good one!
We are having a fund raiser for my daughters high school orchestra to go to Hawaii. For $5.00, they win $1000.00 Sam's Club Gas card. They are selling pretty good right now!  bear_rolleyes

It's impossible to sneeze with your eyes open.

teehee... I was just putting on my mascara this morning and sneezed. Ending up with wet mascara on my cheeks...
I hate it when that happens  bear_wacko

Roxanne

OMG! You got me good  bear_tongue
I got this sinking feeling in my tummy wondering "What on earth is happening?"  bear_wacko

Gracie was made from Intercals KID9/H - Color 528S - Cream in color. Lovely to work with.

Roxanne

Gosh! Thank you all so much for such helpful suggestions!
I am sure that they will not only help myself, but others that may be reading this with the same problem.
I have doubled up on the advil and wore the brace last night. It was kinda stiff when I took it off this morning, but felt a little better  bear_thumb  I went out to my shop and tried to begin working again and had to quit. This really stinks...
I know that I need to see a Dr. about it, but I am afraid that I already know what he will say... snip...snip...
I am such a procrastinator  bear_whistle  I am no way afraid of having surgery done, I just hate not being able to do anything with my hands for a while. But like what Gina said, I am probably doing more damage the longer I wait. I guess I better see what kind of coverage our insurance has for this.
Anywhooo... Thanks again for all the advice gals!
Ya'll are the best!!

Roxanne

Oh Tami,
You will love it! It is wonderful to work with  bear_thumb

Roxanne

Hey Brenda,
Yep, I have the shooting pain up my arm too. I think something else besides the ache, is my hands falling asleep. It actually kinda ticks me off when that happens. I'm working at getting something completed, and I have to keep taking breaks to let my hands hang down at my side to get the blood flowing and the tingling to stop. You mentioned your tendon in your thumb. This sound like myself. You know cutting hair for 10 years, and now with the teddies. I am going to take your advice and wear the brace at night. I know that will help.
Thanks Bren!

Roxanne

Hi Kathy,
Ooo! Ice pack sound really nice right now.  bear_thumb  Now where did I put my ice bag?  bear_happy
Thanks for the advice  bear_flower  bear_flower

Roxanne

Hi Sue Ann,
Yeppers, I am pretty sure that is what the problem is. I use to work as a hairdresser in Colorado. Thats when it started. Ya know what, I bet that is probably the reason why it is so painful when I use the scissors.  bear_ermm
I imagine that there is a bit of "ol arthur" in my hands too.

Roxanne

What do ya'll do when you have bears to make and your wrists hurt so bad you cant even cut it out? Man my left wrist is killing me, I am left handed. I have the braces that you are suppose to wear for this, but there is no mobility at all with them. It is almost impossible to work with these on.
I was just wondering if any of you might have some advice

Roxanne

Hey Tami,
I was just watching it! But then realized I had a bear I should be working on instead  bear_ermm
They really are beautiful dresses.
I'll bet our Judi watches it. You know she is a Ballroom Dancer!

Roxanne

flower4.jpgflower2.jpgflower1.jpgValentinecookie1.jpgWell Nancy,
I bake cookies! My sister in-law and myself are getting a little something started. These are butter sugar cookie with a hint of almond flavor. The icing is a great tasting poured fondant icing also with a hint of almond flavor.
With royal icing for decorating. The cookies are 5 inches in diameter. They are not the thin crispy type, they are around 1/2 inch thick. The last 3 are a rolled fondant, and are around 3 inches in diameter. We also make the cookie bouquets!

Roxanne

Kimmy,
You are a living doll  bear_whistle   bear_whistle  (thats a wolf whistle if you listen really hard)
