congratulations Marlys. That's how I got my Butchie ten years ago. I'd had his litter brother for a year and the breeder called me and asked if I'd like his brother cause she hadn't found a good home for him. How could I refuse?
Brenda, we've had a couple or three biggish storms but nothing too serious. I've not been stuck at home because of the snow so far this season. Actually most of this winter I've been able to wear just winter slip-ons instead of full boots, although I do drive to work, not public transportation and such. I do remember when we first moved to this area in 1985 we had a couple of really bad winters with high snowbanks but haven't been hit that hard lately.
We haven't had quite that much snow - but enough is enough. Here is a pic from 1971 - it's the front door of my cousin's home after the big storm of '71 in Montreal!
Now that's SNOW!!!
I've had to remove potty-mouthed people as well. Don't they realize this is a public forum!
It was -33-1/2 C this morning....wind chill -40C. My car very reluctantly turned over and didn't really warm up during the 30 k drive to work!

Christine...I stayed at the Chateau Lake Louise for several days about 15 years ago - it is a beautiful place. We walked around the right side of the lake and I remember sitting on a bench and chipmunks eating from our hands. The Chateau itself is lovely, with luxourious dining rooms and lots of shopping. I still have the jade and gold earrings I begged my husband to buy for me.
Now if I had a free trip - I'd be heading for Australia. Your country seems so exotic to me.

I would never do that to my dogs as well....but I'm sure they'd still be happy to see me!
Who is your REAL FRIEND?
This really works! If you don't believe it, try it yourself!!! It's a great experiment!!
Put your dog and your spouse in the trunk of the car for an hour.
When you open the trunk, who is really happy to see you?
I remember taking my Bostons to see SantaDog many years ago....hopefully that collie is done with his therapy by now.

yes, I shave the mohair, but instead of using roving I use a piece of wool felt (not acrylic felt) and needle that on. You can cut it to the size and shape you want and it will needlefelt on nicely and not be to thick. You can then do your needlesculpting on top of that and if you need to hide any stitches, needlefelt a bit on top of it.
When I do an applied open mouth I've sometimes needlefelted the black felt onto the top of the mouth instead of sewing it.

My three beggars seem to feel that their dog food is really just a supplement to dog cookies and table food. They are not obese, altho probably a little heavier that they should be, and fairly active, fortunately.

Thea, that baby doll is very cute but the preemies are a bit disturbing.
I understand the amount of work and true art that goes into reborn babies but personally...I find them a bit creepy!

We have a shepard mix who is 10 years old and live on a dirt road in the country. Lenny used to be a runner and we'd have to travel up to 10 km to get him home. 8 years ago we got a wireless electric fence (no buried wires) and he now has a large safe area to run in. My Dad took the time to train him properly and now he knows his limits. He's not left alone - there is always someone at the house.
For my three Boston's however - we have a large well-enclosed garden. Knowing their temperament I wouldn't trust a wireless fence.

We have raised turkeys and generally try to get them to about 20 - 25 lbs. I do remember several years ago though when we had a couple of turkeys weigh in at over 45 lbs! Had to cut them in half to be able to cook them - I donated one to the food bank...probably enough turkey to feed the town!
I did have to rotate the picture cause it was upside down otherwise. I don't think we'll see a smiley face here - isn't the world upside down in Australia? or something like that? I find astronomy very confusing but I did head on the news that this conjunction won't be seen again for 33 years so I'm glad I saw it cause I'm unlikely to see it again!

I took this pic tonight after reading Sarah's post. I guess we're not as happy here in North America.

surprised myself with 91 and 77 - actually thought I was doing well until I saw your scores!
I am awful at recognizing people - can't even put it down to old age cause I've always been like that
Krista - I can certainly see why you would continue to list on ebay because of your dogs - you would certainly pull in a different type of collector that way. I remember years ago wanting everything and anything concerning Boston Terriors and found such a variety on ebay.

I've only ever listed on B4B and am very satisfied with the whole site. Of course I'm not one of the 'big ones' and since I work full-time I don't have much time to make too many bears but in the past year I've sold 12 bears and listed maybe 20 in all. Nancy's fees are not high - and during her promotion months the listing fees are waived.
As to exchanging the ebay link for B4B or TeddyPatch - I believe we've asked before if this could be added and it wasn't feasible. In the alternative, you can list it below your profile.
please reasure me that that photo has been photoshopped!
actually I don't have to go to Australia to see strange animals. A wallaby has been loose in our area for the past 2 wks (Ontario, Canada). He got loose from a local zoo when a snow storm brought down a tree and has been sighted about 5 ks from my home. We've been advised that if we see 'Wendall' we should offer him a banana and then grab him by the base of his tail! I do hope he's found safe soon - the deer hunters are liable to mistake him and I can just see a hunter going home trying to explain about the huge 'mouse' he bagged!!
