I think we have had the same idea !

If I win the auction, I'll try to make a bear with this fabric fast to tell you. But maybe you'll win this auction, not a problem ;).
I think it must be a great fabric :).
Hugs,
Marion

So, the problem is with the browsing system...
As I'm always near the computer when I put an auction, I will check if yours, Tammy's, Nettie's and Judi's (sorry if I forgot someone :redface: :redface: ) are still there this afternoon :). If some of our bears disappear again, I'll tell you ! :hug:
Nothing for me... My fiancee doesn't even like to make present for Christmas or birthday... That's not a problem as I now know I can buy myself one artist bear from you friends each year :dance: :dance: :dance: (mm... a wee scone next Christmas ? ^^).
I think I will buy myself a chocolate heart for Valentine day
.
If you are interested by baby nowegian sweaters like this one :
I think I can find some patterns at my mum's home

Wish I could help, but I'm lost :D...
Hugs, girls (great to have time on the internet !
)
OK, the glue isn't wet any more : it seems to be ok. I tried to pick off the color with a cotton and water, and even with a little amount of hair conditioner :D... No problem, I think (and hope).
:)
Hugs,
Marion :hug:

Sorry to bother you, friends : I have a big problem with ebay... My bear Perceval, does not appear in the artist one of a kind list, on the US ebay...
Here is the link of the gallery :
http://dolls.listings.ebay.com/Artist_A … ngItemList
And here is the link to my auction page :
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi … %3AIT&rd=1
I do not understand... And I have lost lots of money as I wanted to be in the featured area but did not choose the good thing : "featured plus"instead of "gallery featured"... So I took "gallery featured" but the other can be undone so I have the 2 things... :/
I'm a little silly, I think... :doh:
Please could you have a look : maybe the problem is just for me and you can see the bear ? Do you know what I can do if the auction does not work ?
Thanks a lot friends, and lots of bear hugs,
amitiés,
Marion
Thanks a lot ! I will buy some !
Fabric extender ? Sounds great !
Thanks Winney, I will do some research ! :hug: :hug:
Hugs Judi :hug:.
For example I've worked again on my little Perceval, experimenting hair conditioner and color blender :
The blendings near the eyes do not show very well on the pictures, but they are not as good as I wanted... But I will experiment again with this method as I don't like real paint and color copic pens very much (maybe I will buy an aerograph some day).
Winney : I'm not sure it can stay on if some soap is used...(I must say that I didn't imagine that someone could try to wash the part near the eyes for Perceval, but I will do something to be sure there will be no problem : thanks so much !:) ) I must experiment more... I was thinking about a coat of fray check or withe glue dilued with water... I'm not sure it won't alter the colors, though...
I'll tell you the result
.
Hugs friends

Dear Kim, I sent your previous picture to a friend of mine, Charles, who was complaining for being on his own, telling him : "Make teddy bears, friend"... It made him think about joining us on Teddy Talk !
If I send the new ones to him, I think he will really join us !
Hugs beautiful friend
:hug:.
Marion
PS : my favorite is the first black and white after the two sepia ones
.
edit : in fact, I just had a look again : the second color one is even more beautiful
.
Thanks to dear Sue Ann, I work with hair conditioner for several weeks now. I just wanted to share some other things I found that can be done with that product :
* it's a fantastic color blender ! With hair conditioner, you can work with all types of color pencils : the pigments will be really smouther, won't fade with the time, and will blend perfectly !
* so, it can be used to make aged dicolored part : if you put a big amount of hair conditioner moss on a point of a part you have colored before (with any method : I've tried with acrylic paint, copic pens, inks and color pencils) you can obltain a light spot.
* it gently smooths the black wax and makes it shine (if used as a latest step). It's not very impressive, but it's noticeable.
* because of the resin it contains, it can be used to hardened a part : I've found that the pawpads of the bear on which I have made lots of experiments have hardened as I have put a big amount of hair conditioner on them.
For the copic colorless blender :
* it can dissolve the black wax and can perfectly blend the black pigment of the wax around a nose (and that's really great in my opinion) (it doesn't seem to hurt the pen).
* it can blend even color pencils, and even getting rid of the pigment of the color pencils if you think you have made a mistake.
That's all :).
I think I have just created the wheel again, but maybe it can help :).
Lots of bear hugs, dear friends,
Marion
PS : I've seen all that marvellous bears and friends for the TOBY awards : I'm so impressed ! Good luck to you all !
I have not the time to write much here for the moment, but I miss you all, dear TTalkers
:hug:.
I'm back and just find your lovely comments !
Thanks so much friends !

Here is how I do the shiny nose (certainely not the most efficient way to do it though) :
1. I embroder it with black pearl cotton as usual ;
2. I take some black wax (the one from Beary Cheap) with a knife that I warm on a candle and I sculpt it on the nose with the warm knife ;
3. I polish the wax until it's smooth with paper ;
4. I varnish the nose with the nose gloss from Bärenstübchen two times.
Here it is
.
Bear hugs,
Marion
