Beautiful cat, Dilu. He does look like he's not planning to get out of the way anytime soon! Cats always seem to get most comfortable in places that they shouldn't be. I'll have a grand time getting all the Christmas gifts wrapped. My cat loves to come right over and lie down on my paper. Pick her up and move her, and she comes right back!
Hmmm....what do I want for Christmas?
1. I'd like the light tent that I requested for my birthday, but didn't receive. My fiancee is a do-it-yourself kinda guy and said he would build one rather than buy one. Well, seems he's actually a do-it-yourslef-sometime-next-year kinda guy!
2. Jenny's white ballerina bear!
3. A big fat raise for my fiancee so we could afford to build on to our tiny house and make room for more kids.
Dilu! She is sooo cute! I really like her, great job!
Thank you for the wonderful pic!
My fiancee and I plan to honeymoon in Europe IF we ever really get married! First stop: Poland, as that is where he's from. Two weeks minimum is a must.
It is a shame really that so much negative energy has come from "Thread Bears". I think it would have been wonderful for the artists who trademarked this would have come up with thier own business name.
They do have another business name, but I guess one just wasn't enough!??
awww Shelli, are you sure another baby isn't in your future?
Everyone has such beautiful children! Here's some pics of my daughter, Natalia. She is 2 yrs. 10 mos. She's a petite little girl and definitely ALL GIRL! Of course, I don't have anything to do with that!
The swimsuit pic and black & white pic were taken in August. And the last one is of her Halloween costume this year.
Sabine, he is so cute! I wouldn't have expected to see something so cute come from a pipe cleaner. Great job!
I really like this guy, Stephanie! Soooo cute!
Don't make him sit in the corner too long...he looks too innocent to have been a pain on purpose...don't want a sad little dragon.
I took a little break from making bears earlier this year when we bought a new home. The move and all the rest kept me away for a while. When I finally got back at it I listed a bear on ebay not knowing what had happened with the trademark deal. About a day into my auction, a fellow ebay bear artist kindly emailed me to let me know I should change my title. Apparently, while I was away a whole lot of people had their listings pulled from ebay because of this. I now call them thread crochet bears. I still want to have the word thread in there because collectors may not be aware and still search for "thread bear."
Judy...your little knitted ones are so cute! I don't think there's a size limit.
Kelly, your bear and ornament are both stunning! I make ornaments too, never any dripping with crystals though! Really beautiful colors too. Great job!
Dilu, she is so cute! I love her little flowers.
I had some gaps in my first couple bears too. I use the smallest hook I can without driving myself crazy, but I still get gaps on the tops of their feet. It's not too noticable with the angora I now use since it's so fuzzy.
Now give yourself a pat on the back for the great job...and give your gollies a big hug so they don't get too jealous...I'd probably hide those scissors from them too as a precautionary measure!
I don't mind spiders and snakes and most other insects, but I have to say worms are really gross! Yet I still put on a happy face when I see one so that my 2-year old daughter will not grow up fearing such things.
We bought our home in Feb. and it had a small fish pond in the back yard. Well, within a couple weeks of living here we managed to kill the fish. Since the fish were already gone, we decided to take out the pond. We'd love to have one but this one was not our taste and located in a goofy spot. Well in the summer we filled up the pond and moved all of the stones that surrounded it. There were sooo many worms and centipedes underneath those darn stones! The centipedes just scurried away but the worms couldn't get into the ground because of the black liner from the pond. I felt terrible for those ugly little things. I thought the scorching sun would fry those little buggers so I scooped them all up with a stick and moved them to the grass. And my little girl was right there with me so, of course, I had to do it with a smile on my face. We had a lovely afternoon chatting with all those darn worms.
I don't have much advice to offer as it's already been said! A huge CONGRATS though! Have fun and let us know how it goes!
I LOVE country music!!!!! There, I said it! If Sandi can not like chocolate and admit it then I can admit to this!

Hehe, It's okay Daphne. I too will admit that I like country music! I don't listen to it as much as I used to, but still like it. George Strait is my favorite country singer.
Jared...I, too, was born in 76 and know and like mostly everyone talked about on this thread. CCR, Eagles, Beatles, Kenny Rogers...
I haven't heard too much Eminem as he's not played on the radio stations I normally listen to, but I have to admit that I do like him. There's an ipod commercial with him and I really like it.
Love Norah Jones. Such a beautiful voice. Just had her CD in yesterday. Natalie Merchant...Sarah McLaughlin
I also like blues. I don't have a great knowledge of all the music, but in general I really like it. The last concert I went to was (quite a while ago) B.B. King and Buddy Guy. Awesome show.
Okay, I will admit that I miss the big hair 80's bands.
Okay, totally off the subject of tulle, but right on for goofy cats. I forgot about this and it suddenly popped in my head and I cannot stop laughing.
My sister had a cat several years ago that of course liked to eat weird things. One Easter, this cat was walking around the house when I noticed something peculiar. Apparently he had gotten to the Easter basket grass because he had about 3-4 inches of it hanging out of his butt!!
Thank you for the reassurance, Daphne. I'm sorry for being such a wuss when it is just a temporary thing.
 Congrats, Melissa! He is so cute and sweet!
I am so ready for the snow! But instead last night we had a thunderstorm and tornado watches! Tornado in November...that's just not right!
I think we may get some flurries tonight though. Fingers crossed!
Julia, I'm so sorry for your loss. I understand how difficult it is to lose a pet, as they are really a family member. Hugs to you, Julia. Please know we're all thinking of you.
Well, let's see here...
I have a tatoo on my ankle that I got when I was 16 while my parents were away on vacation. It's starting to look crappy and faded now. I also had my navel pierced but had to take it out when I was pregnant. Well, I don't know if I had to, but I got so damn big I thought my belly would rip open if I didn't take it out. Never put it back after the birth because it wouldn't go back through. And that's okay, because now I have a tummy that no one needs to see!
I've already come out of the closet for not liking chocolate...thanks for not kicking me out of here! Actually, I don't like too many sweets at all. I never get a birthday cake because I hate cake. I got a pumpkin pie with Happy Birthday written on it for my last b-day. I do like fruit pies and cheesecake. mmmmm
I love animals of all kinds. I talk to anyone and everyone's pets. Spiders don't get killed at our house. I catch them in a glass and take them outside. Now, I don't like them the same way as kittens and puppies, but I love them as one of God's creatures. Plus I don't want my daughter to be scared of spiders and other creepy crawlers, so that means I can't be scared of them. So, yes, when they are caught in the glass, I talk to them also to show my daughter there is nothing to fear. Oh, and I should have a bumper sticker that says "I brake for birds". I'm always scared I'm gonna hit one if I don't slow down.
Okay, here's the weird one...I have self-diagnosed myself with obsessive compulsive disorder. I'm no clean freak or have to wash my hands obsessively, my problem is peeing. For instance, I have to have an empty bladder before I can go to sleep. I can go to the bathroom before bedtime and if my fiancee talks to me for 2 minutes after we lie down, I have to get back out of bed and go to the bathroom again. I panic when I have to go to the OBGYN because I know that the doctor will never get to my exam room immediately after I have went to the bathroom. So I sit in that little room driving myself crazy because after I'm in the gown, I want to get dressed again and go back to the bathroom. Actually, I have done that a couple times!
Here's a bit that isn't top secret but for my sister's sake I'm not advertising to all of my friends. But I doubt you're gonna tell anyone! My sister wants to have a baby but she can't because after so much trouble with endometriosis, both of her ovaries were taken out. So she asked and I agreed to donate eggs to her. We're just starting the whole process so maybe in a couple months she will be pregnant. I really hope it works, she has wanted a baby for so long. I'm very glad to help her but the process itself has me a little freaked. I will have to take meds for 3-4 weeks by means of giving myelf a shot. The first week it will be 1 per day, then the next 2-3 weeks I will have to have 2 per day. The doctor said it will be similar to giving oneself an insulin shot so I'm hoping that Judy will tell me that it's not that scary. Also, once I start the second med I will have to go to the doc every 2-3 days over 2-3 weeks for an ultrasound. We're not talking the kind on your tummy like when you're pregnant, but the more "invasive" type. Yeah, that will be fun with my peeing problem!
Jane, I think he is adorable! Great work!
Yes, Jane, you truly are appreciated very much! Thank you!
I'm doing pretty well with my shopping. I Christmas shop all year long, buying things when I can get a good deal. I am sooo finished shopping for the little girls in my family! Still have to buy for my dad and brothers. The men in my family are so hard to buy for.
I'm pretty sure my fiancee is going to have a heart attack when he sees how much I've bought for our daughter! I have toys hiding everywhere! I even have stuff hiding at my mom's house, because I'm too scared to come home and face him with all those bags! Yes, eventually Christmas will arrive and I'm gonna get busted. I'll just have to blame it on Santa!
Shelli- Your "Big City Day" sounds wonderful! I would LOVE to see a Cirque de Soleil show. A couple months back there was a marathon on TV with several different Cirque de Soleil shows. We videotaped them all.
