Well, you know how i am...........i can't resist an opportunity to muck about with my avvie. I finally maneged to get the TT site to refresh it's pages and i can now see the lovely Crimbo avvies you've made girls - bravo!  :clap:  :clap:  :clap:

I'm quite looking forward to the holiday season this year now i have a little one to plan a fun time for - i don't know who is going to enjoy it more, me or my little soldier.

You lucky thing you! I wish we had some decent snow here in the UK. Generally whenever we do get snow it lasts around 12 hours then it melts and then the weather warms up again.
I adore snow - the light is so fantastic is'nt it? So bright and clean.

Well, i suggest you take the old dear to court - she may be old but she's mean and unless you intend to be a martyr to the old girl and let her ruin your life you gotta show her who's boss. You should have legal claim to the property - see a lawyer, it may be the only way sweetie.

If she gives you anymore trouble just send for PenPen and i'll come and put her in her place for you - she ain't seen nothin until she's seen me on a rant! Shoot your dogs.........what is this woman on? Cut down her medication it's making her nuts.

Tell them you are busy and let them all get on with it! Sounds harsh but let's face it - you are working and if you keep giving in and doing stuff for them they are never gonna take you seriously when you tell them this. They are just gonna think that mum is'nt really working just playing around with crafty things. Maybe if you tell them how much money some bear artists make it will open their eyes to the idea that you could make big bucks.
As for housework chores - stuff it! If the family don't like the carpets dirty they can run the vacuum over them for a change huh?

When people call you up wanting their hair cut tell them "Yeah sure, but you will have to pay me double the rate cos i will have to halt my bear making and time is money" or if that does'nt work simply tell them to "Bugger Off I'm Busy"

Make a stand, stick to it and don't be taken for granted, they'll survive the shock of mum saying 'No' - they won't like it but hey! tough!

Hi Berta,

I can read crochet and knitting patterns as my mum taught me at a very early age but i think it is a superb idea to offer online classes for those who can't.
I occasionally come across a pattern that confuses even me and i have been crocheting for almost 40 years - yeah go on, do the maths - i'm ancient!

Good luck with this, it will be a godsend to all those who can't read a pattern and you never know...............even those of us who can might learn a few useful tips. You can teach an old dog new tricks!

All the pics are wonderful girls, i should be ashamed of myself living in England and never having visited the Lake District, Ireland or Scotland. Is'nt it strange how we tend to ignore the beauty almost on our doorstep and jet off to countries thousands of miles away instead?

Antartica looks SO WONDERFUL Ellen and the Continental Divide is divine Tami.................2 more destinations to add to my list of places to go.

This must be awful for you Danni..............report her as suggested, keep sending emails and if necessary scare her with a threat of legal action. It might work.

Can we know the website address? I for one, want to avoid this seller like the plague - obviously is'nt very trustworthy is she? Maybe we could all bombard her with emails (polite ones obviously) telling her that the bear is'nt made by you, if she knows that loads of people know that she is misrepresenting her goods she might change the info.

I have already gone past the point of no return with this kitty head so maybe - just maybe - i will try the whiskers with the next one. I think there will be a next one but as i have'nt finished this one yet (it's still a blooming nightmare getting the body right) i can't imagine when the next one will be started!

As for the kitten pic........................SUPERB! I think i might have a go at this style of face next. Looks like it need a lot of lovin don't it? Scared witless the poor little thing.............what did you do to it missus?

I REALLY want to visit Yosemite National Park.............i have looked at paintings of it for years and with the advent of the www. i have trawled through all the websites sighing over the wonderful pictures of 'Half Dome' and 'El Capitan' mountains wishing i could be sitting there with a Gin & Tonic watching the sun set over the valley.

SO.............where in the world would YOU love to visit??????? Have you a hankering for Honolulu? A yearning for Yukatan? A Passion for Paris?

My cat now has a body and legs. Still no ears or tail or arms. Poor thing. Ears will definitely be last - they are my biggest bugbear, too big, too small, too high, too low - you name it i've done it ha ha ha

Thanks All - my kitty is now called Cornelius as it suits him (he's most definitely a boy) and he is loving the attention his head is getting. Gawd knows what he'll be like when he's got the rest of himself!

Hi Carolyn, well the cat at least has a body and legs now and is coming along nicely. I'll post pics here when it begins to look a little more like a 'whole' cat. In fact, he is going to be a kitten as i am not up to standard with an adult cat body yet.......i'm still laboring away on that one! Could be years. ha ha

Just move house Wonks...........beats cleaning...........when you mess up the new place just move on to another one - i managed to do this for about 14 years. Now we have settled i am seriously thinking about getting a cleaner. Can't abide Piders myself, they make me hyperventilate and go a strange colour. Bloody awful things - hope you killed it.
