Me too - I'm (hopefully) wondering if I should take an ad out!??
Mini Hugs, Ruth x
Edited to ask; is a "portrait" ad' the same as a UK 1/16 ad' ??
Yep, that's Chihuahuas for you ; they think there's no such thing as "biting off more than you can chew"
Ruth
Both are really lovely Laurie I'm sure they'll go to new homes on the day
See you there,
Ruth
I just knew you would love this Bobbie I too was fascinated by the pins, let alone the fabrics!
I'm afraid my hubby and son are used to me "homing in" on anything to do with historical textiles
whenever we visit a museum (then photos must be taken if allowed.) Every time I do Hugglets the V&A lures me back!!
Mini Hugs, Ruth
I thought some of you might find this of interest - the Foundling Hospital museum (in London) has an online exhibition
of some of the textile scraps left with babies as identifying marks. Between 1741 and 1760 , 4000 babies were left at the institution.
This would have to be one of the most poignant and sad exhibitions in it's way ; if you click the link and view the slide show, you can hit the "previous"
button to read some of the written remnants left with the infants (the slides are fairly quick) One I noticed states "please take particular care of this child as he will be called for again"
The variety and intense colour of some of these 18th century fabric scraps is amazing; a heart-breaking social record but also fascinating to textile-buffs!

Many Congratulations to everybody - for all your superb work!

Hey Marilyn
My hubby did the same thing (snap .... or rather not heehee ) and only took one photo for my Cat 1 award. Mind you I don't recognise the lady in the photo at all - it can't be me!!! (I'd rather be younger you see, Lol)
Sorry, I don't have a pic of your missing moment either

Just wanted to add I had such a wonderful day on Sunday too, and I really enjoyed being a "visitor" this time, meeting up with everyone and chatting to so many TTers,
I must mention it was lovely to meet Natascha in person , and Susanna of Berries Bears who had travelled all the way from Hong Kong with her beautiful bears!
Congratulations to you Richard - I was so thrilled for you  also Marilyn (with your gorgeous cover-bear!) Natascha, Chloe, Sue, Maria, and all the nominees who took
part; there were so many fabulous bears there! I even got adopted by a tiny little new beary myself!!!
Here's a pic of the judges ; Gregory Gyllenship, Victor from the bear charity who presented the prizes, our very own Dawn and Wendy Hobday - what a mammoth task they had; many Thanks for all of their hard work
This is so adorable!! Thank you so much for the link - I'll be watching it again"!

Aha! That reminds me of the (intact) bar of Oxo flavoured chocolate as featured on The Antiques Roadshow!
I think it might have been around WW1 time. But similarly eeeuueuwwww as a flavour!!!

Phew - I'm so relieved to hear everything's back to normal Randy!
Give Pepper an extra little hug from me (and from Delphi, my Chihuahua )
Good Luck with your "explanations" !!!
Mini Hugs, Ruth
I'm not surprised you sound worried. I have a very tiny Chihuahua myself; the whole family are extra careful constantly about what she's eating.
I also have a little Papillon, and in their case neither dog has more than a couple of treats per week. The vet once told us that the Papillon's
stomach was probably only the size of half a satsuma! These little ones just can't stuff food down and not be affected I'm afraid. Both of ours are only fed after we've finished
our meals ... which is good pack hierarchy enforcement as I understand it.
Ow, I hate to think of a little Chi in distress! I'll be thinking of Pepper and wishing her well  I so hope your MIL's gorgeous little baby gets better soon!
